Motorcycles of Charlotte - New bike!!!

Worked with Romy (by the way 5 stars for that guy). He was pretty patient after weeks of phone…read moretag. Finally I came in and looked at some numbers but I knew what bike I wanted. Romy was very knowledgeable on sales deals how to get the numbers right to get me on a bike. I was able to squeeze in an exhaust to lessen the expense of adding it latter thanks to him and purchased the bike. Bought it on 4-09-26 The bike is awesome sales was great! The only wiff in the mix right now is I was told usually the exhaust takes about a week to arrive so if I put 600 miles on the bike I could knock out the service and get the exhaust on the bike to get right back on the bike. Of course I'm excited so I put 600 miles on in 4 days!!!... I called Romy, think that's who I should call, to schedule and make sure the exhaust would be there cause I was gonna bring it by on the 14th... but I should have called service to schedual the first service... also after just buying a car I thought first service is free especially on what I thought would just be a check up. But no Ducati does not run a program like that I was informed:/ but that's on me for assuming! Once I talked to service about the exhaust and service he was very helpful and gave me a date to bring it in. It's not this weekend or next weekend but shortly after which is a bit of a bummer. Knowing that I wanted to do both he wanted to check with parts on the exhaust arrival. 5 stars for service for listening and understanding what my goals were and squeezing me in. From what I understand April is a hectic bike repair season! Making sure I realigned my expectations I reached out to parts. In parts I spoke to Michelle ( 5 stars for her too!) Michelle went the extra mile and found my info, reached out to get in touch with the shipper, stepped over to Romy make sure everything is up to date. Called me back in literally 5 minuets and updated me that tracking was confirmed and the exhaust would be in when my check was scheduled! The whole team here is great but why 4 instead of 5? With all the hand offs in this environment. The team supported each other really well. But spending $37,000.00 buying add ons and shop time and strict manufacture specific maintenance intervals and delivery times. It sure would feel smoother to me, the customer, if sales just worried about sales, parts worried about parts, maintenance worried about maintenance.... I would have loved to have a dealership liaison or a transition person that would help keep expectations timelines and structure the handoffs from one department to another. In my opinion everyone I have interacted with has been happy, professional, realistic and forthcoming with good information! guys thank you!

Dangerous Mistake and Zero Accountability…read more I want to preface this with stating that Fairfield is top notch and a great sales person. This lies with whomever the manager is. I had a deeply disappointing, and frankly dangerous experience at Motorcycles of Charlotte. The same day I purchased my motorcycle from them, I discovered they had installed the wrong size front tire. They mounted a 110/90 tire when the bike clearly requires a 130/90, which is a major safety issue. While riding on the interstate just hours later, the tire came unseated, putting me at serious risk of injury. When I brought this to the shop's attention, the manager denied any responsibility, refused to replace the tire, and tried to blame me for supposedly hitting a pothole - something that absolutely did not happen. A tire coming off the bead on a brand-new purchase due to their installation error is not something to deflect or ignore. This wasn't a minor oversight, this was a life-threatening mistake followed by poor customer service and zero accountability. I strongly urge others to double-check everything if you choose to buy here, or better yet, take your business elsewhere. Your safety should never be compromised by negligence

I called AAA and they estimated their expedited response would be 1:30 am. Life360 roadside couldn't send a tow unless I knew where to have it towed. Being from out of town I had no idea where to tow it. Got on Yelp, called Davidson Towing and he answered right away, told me not to worry he'd be there in 20-30 mins. He arrived as promised, got my car on the flatbed and took it back to his shop to be kept overnight. He has a calm and reassuring demeanor which was much appreciated. He took at look at the obvious culprits for my car breaking down and wasn't able to spot anything so he worked the next day to find a solution but wasn't able to. (We took it to Chevy and they couldn't either - something electrical that we hope was just a loose terminal to the battery which was tightened.) Thank you Dustin for rescuing me - much appreciated!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!…read more Dustin and his "uncle" have swindled me out of about $2000 indicating that they could service an engine that they could not service. Then convincing me to buy a new engine that they installed. When the car overheated, Dustin gave wrong advice on how to keep the car from overheating. And we are now having to get every seal replaced in the newer engine. Bolts were missing, including all for the motor mount. I am now having to spend that money again to get the engine repaired. Edited to remove the he said she said but still would like to know why he cared what her parents (me and her dad) do for a living... STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY AND COMPANY! Take this for what it's worth - if you want a response after he does crappy work and blocks you, a review is the only way to get a response from him. Maybe he could call and discuss this like a reputable company instead of asking his uncle for permission to take accountability and make a refund. Dustin - My messages show that I picked it up on 2/2 and on 2/3 my daughter texted that she was broke down on the side of the road. Your response was that you would pick it up with your tow truck. On the 5th you picked it up. On 2/7 you recommended wiring the car to have fans in at all times because he couldn't get them to turn on when the temp hits "210" degrees. As far as waiting this long to write a review, I have had it in the shop for a month getting seals placed, and bolts added that were neglected on your part, Dustin. I'm still waiting on the total so expect in the next month an update with a total of how much your inadequacies cost me.

Rode to Greer from Beech Mountain, NC to look at a trike. Long ride through beautiful mountains…read more Arrived and met with Danny, the owner, who let me test ride 2 different trikes. Explained the differences between the 2 bikes, gave reasons why some riders went with one or the other, and since I hadn't ridden a trike before went over some of the major differences between 2 up and trikes. Danny worked hard to give me the best trade on my bike and really made the experience very easy. Only the 2nd dealership I have ever visited, whether it was for bike or auto, that really went the extra mile. Bought the bike, rode it back to Beech Mountain, then rode it to Raleigh, NC, where I live. Noticed that during the rides the rear brakes weren't acting right so had my bike mechanic take a look at it. Turns out the rotor for the rear brakes was cracked in half, hence the reason the brakes wouldn't work properly. Called Danny to talk with him about it, asking that while the bike didn't come with a warranty was there anything he could do. He very quickly told me that he was unaware of the problem when they had the bike or would have made repairs before being sold. He then said that I could either bring to them for repairs or have my guy make the repairs and he would foot the bill. Since they are about 4 hours away I opted to have my guy make the repairs. This type of customer service is what people used to receive in days gone past but seems to have fallen by the wayside. Very refreshing to know that there are still people like Danny and his crew at Cherokee Cycles that still care about their customers to this extent. At my age this is probably the last bike I will buy, but if not I will definitely check with Danny to see what he has available and be more than willing to make the ride to deal with him again. If you are in the market for a new ride do yourself a favor and go see him. Thanks Danny.

We had already replaced the battery and told the service tech that the battery was new. A week later they called and said they replaced the battery and that wasn't the problem. We had told them the battery was new and wasnt the problem. They then said it was the radio and they would have to send it out to be rebuilt. We asked if they had done a diagnostic on all other areas and they said yes. The rebuilt radio came back and they said the display was blinking more often than before. We asked if they checked if it was the display and if so could they replace it. They asked if we wanted to fix the bike ourselves. Are you kidding me. You've had my bike for three months and just admitted you didn't check the most obvious thing first. My husband was upset, asking them what they were going to do and for more frequent updates and by no means was he yelling, and service tech said come get your bike and hung up on us. He hung up on us. Unbelievable . We called to speak to the shop or service manager and we are waiting for their call back.
