I would not buy tickets online from this company again. I canceled my reservation well outside the stated cancellation window, but I still did not receive a full refund. The cancellation policy made it sound like there would be no penalty if canceled in time, but that was not my experience. The online booking process also included an added convenience/booking fee, which made the whole thing feel misleading. I paid extra to book online and then still lost money after canceling in plenty of time. Customer service was rude and dismissive when I called. Their emails requesting weight-related information were also poorly explained and came across as invasive. My recommendation: do not bother with online booking. Buy in person if you decide to go. read more

We took my oldest granddaughter for dune riding on her 14th birthday! What an amazing, and fun time! Our driver Alan was excellent! Great driver who stopped periodically and gave us tips and stories about the dunes we were on. This 4 star review is SOLELY because of Spencer, our driver. He was beyond amazing - we had the BEST dune tour of all of our visits here over 25 years. He stopped to point out the features and highlights of the fabulous Oregon Dunes and provided some history and geography lessons to boot and then proceeded to give us the most epic screaming flying "control-alt-delete" ride ever! The missing star is because of the lack of transparency and the rudeness of the manager today. We booked over the phone as we were inside their 48-hour booking window, and were charged a $24 booking fee that was not disclosed verbally and which is buried in the checkout page of their shopping cart software (Believe me, I read every other page of the website after I was informed it was "at the bottom of the webpage"), and was told my questions and concerns over an overcharge were "he said/she said" and that they would happily refund the overcharge AFTER their business closed and processed. If you can deal with the slightly shady business practices, it is worth every penny of the $75 for an hour tour. read more

Today a couple of our tickets for the boats flew away in the wind, honest mistake. There were no people around or riding the boats. We immediately went in to ask for help, and were followed by the rude girls at the front saying there was absolutely nothing they could do. We were super nice and happy to be there, and the girls kept saying "we're just employees, there's nothing we can do." Which makes ZERO sense because that literally is their job. Super entitled for making minimum wage at a tiny play zone in the middle of nowhere. We left and our 3 year old was super bummed. All of the staff hover over you, act like they work the hardest jobs in the world and talk to you like children. WAY too many rules and not family friendly. Save your money. read more

Stopped in to play mini golf and ride go karts. Policy of not letting my toddler daughter Join us walking on the golf course without paying for her was ridiculous. The giant dune buggy ride should NOT be selling tickets for children under 2 as it is unsafe. My daughter was told she could just wear her 9 month old even though the ride begins on Highway 101 and proceeds down a two way road before getting to the dunes. The ride is too bouncy for a baby's neck. They also tried to install the car seat forward facing which is absolutely unsafe. We all felt the baby should stay behind with one adult, but no refund was offered or even a credit. It was her birthday and this was part of her gift. The police have been contacted about this incident because we feel a child could be seriously hurt at some point. Stay away, not family friendly or caring. read more

We have done everything here and love it! It is definitely a tradition when we come to the coast to do at least the go carts. They also have bumper boats, mini golf, slower dune buggy rides, and extreme dune buggy rides. The extreme ones are extremely fun and I definitely recommend. This is one of the highlights in our recent trip to Florence, Oregon. We didn't know what to expect from this adventure but it turned out safe, the driver ensuring all the safety belts are properly secured. We booked the large dune buggy and we are part of a group tour. It was fun and exciting activity to do with the family. The driver is knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about the ride, dunes and the area. The dunes are quite impressive in size. The ride itself did some runs up and down and around the dunes then to the beach. Awesome to see people drive their own side by side. Best time and will do it again, worth the travel and the price! booked a reservation and have 2 men, 200 and 220 lbs. after making reservation was told need to buy a 3 rd seat because we are overweight. when I asked to cancel was charged 10% fee and it was within the same hour and reservation was 3 weeks out. would not consider this a fair business practice. website says may be charged but I wasn't given the option. have taken visitors here 4 times but I guess I won't recomend or do that again pretty sad read more

Great fun today at Sandland Adventures with friends. We booked the Sandrails trail ride for hour of fun, high speed thrills, up and down dunes. Our guide was very experienced and we felt confident in his abilities. He also took us down the beach and ran the length of the access area to dune buggies. Our friends had a great time enjoyed their ride as well. The views of this sandy landscape was very picturesque and all part of the days adventure. After being long time customers who visit from Washington state each year during our Spring break, we had a horrible experience today and I'm not sure we'll be back. We wanted to end our day playing mini golf and as we are long time customers, we know the rules about not climbing on the rocks. One of my children is getting over a cold and didn't feel like playing but they wanted to hang with our family. We were told they had to be off the course since they weren't playing. When I tried to point out another group that was obviously breaking the rule of climbing over the rocks, we were told that they were regulars. I let him know that we were too. Since he kept insisting that it wasn't his rules, I decided to stop arguing and left so my child didn't have to sit alone. After spending over $200 today and every time we visit, I am not sure we'll will ever visit again. Would give less stars if I could. read more

Absolute worst company!! would let me rate less than one start. We got stuck behind a head on collision for an hour & half and missed our appt for ride. We tried calling to reschedule for over an hour, didn't answer their phones. DrI've straight to the place and explained to them and tried to reschedule and they said we would have to pay again. WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. They charged me 5 times for one reservation!!! Total of $428. When I called, the rude lady on the phone said it would be returned in 1-2 days. It's been a week, and still no returned money. They told me I need to book AGAIN for a 6th time to secure my reservation. They ruined my entire trip, and I need to cancel my hotel because I am not spending more money on another tour until I get my refund back. When I asked for a discount if I booked again, the rude lady said "a discount? For what?" I've never been charged 5 times for 1 thing. I went last year with my sister, and admit the tour was fun but good thing is there is a lot of other tours to book with in Florence. This place was legit! We took a 30min tour with Doug. Totally awesome! We came off the sand rail feeling like we needed a new family hobby. Our boys got to sit in the front row. Our oldest was pumped. Talking a million miles an hour after We were done. Middle said it was fun but scary. He would have liked it better if he was the driver was his review. Our girls were in between us. They opted out of goggles. I think they had such big smiles they had sand in their teeth. When we went it was late evening. Dress warm. We did the 1-hour 2 miles of beach and 8 miles of sand dunes. We got there just in time for the last ride of the day. It was literally a ride on the beach during sunset, could it get any better?!? Our driver Rick I believe is his name is part of the reason it was so great. He really took us on a great ride and even some huge sand cliffs, we felt safe the whole time! What a fun experience! We have been to Florence many times but this is our first time really exploring the dunes other than just walking around. The sign up process online is easy, their website is informative and easy to navigate. We decided on the 1/2 hr sandrail tour for $35 each. You check in at their headquarters and drive out to the actually pick up location for the ride. It feels kinda like they're herding cattle and picking the best ones but in reality I guess they're looking at everyone and trying to figure out the best weight distribution for the vehicles. The actual ride is such a fun sand roller coaster! The drivers are so skilled and I legitimately thought we were gonna flip but I'm sure we actually had all wheels on the sand the entire time. I really appreciated that the drivers stopped 2-3 times at viewpoints to give a short fun fact and also to help visitors take pictures with their phones. We didn't have our phones on us because we were scared the sand would mess them up, but the Korean tour group with us appreciated the photo ops! Make sure to cover your entire body. That sand hurts when it whips your skin. My husband wore shorts and a hoodie and regretted his decision. I wore long pants, jacket, and a neck wrap. You're not allowed to wear sunglasses, however if you wear glasses, they give you a ski goggle to go over your glasses. I can't wait to go back and do the one hour Sandrail tour next! read more

Brought the kid and his pals here for his birthday party. We did a few rounds in the go karts which is always fun. We had a nice little race going, peddle to the metal! I just sent them off to play some mini golf on the 18 hole course. They are very diligent about sanitizing the equipment. Between go kart races the cars are all disinfected with a fast drying spray and the golf clubs are all cleaned when turned in. We see a lot of people coming in for the sand buggy tours on the beach and in the dunes. We didn't realize this earlier, but there are also picnic tables available. We made pizza plans at a friends house, but now we see we could have brought the pizza here. It would be nice if they provided some sort of snack bar or treats here, but the selection is very limited, so bring your own snacks. read more

So glad we stopped to do this! My daughter and I have never seen beach dunes before and we were passing through the area and decided to book a 30 min tour. We did the faster paced buggy ride. I could have easily done an hour! Thirty minutes just goes to fast when you are having the time of your life. I go think our driver took it easy a little bit cause we had two small kids on the tour with us. Which is not a bad thing at all, and totally understandable but I had hoped for a little more thrill. They accidentally over charged us nearly $100 due to a mistake on their end, and when we asked for an explanation we were yelled at and told they could not give our money back. We kindly asked why they could not do a refund for the "accidental" overcharge and after an hour of us patiently waiting for an explanation/refund we were practically shoved out the door and told to not return to the premises. I have never had issues with customer service representatives before, but man do I wish I would have recorded this encounter! They were yelling at us over the counter in front of other customers. Horrible communication and horrible customer service. There's a place up the road that does tours for even cheaper and is much more kind and deserving of customers. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They made a mistake over charging our group and refused to refund us the over charge. They kept telling us that they couldn't refund us for the 1 person overcharge and kept pointing at the sign that says no refund. We would understand if it was our fault, however the overcharge was their fault. After a half hour of us trying to get our refund, and non stop badgering by there staff they finally said they would refund the full amount, kicked us out and told us we are banned from the premises. This could have all been handled easily by just admitting to their mistake and refunding us for the 1 person overcharge. Worst customer service I've ever seen. read more

We did the giant dune buggy tour with our young son. It was exceptional! We felt safe the whole time, yet had just enough steep ups and downs, and bumpy action to give our little guy a thrill. Our driver, Jim, was super knowledgeable. He taught us about the dune terrain and how each feature was created, the invasive European dune grass plaguing the area, and hints and tips for newbies thinking about exploring on their own. Giant Dune Buggy tour GREAT. Family of four two young kids was a perfect way to see and learn about the dunes. Just enough exciting big dunes to go down. Doug the driver was awesome and super knowledgeable. It was a great balance of beauty, fun, excitement, information about the ecosystem/Sandunes. The front desk people were super nice and welcoming. My favorite part is I felt like the tour was priced perfect at 20 dollars a person for the hour experience. In 2024 I've been feeling like everyone has gone crazy with prices, this was great for family's or big groups. read more
