Amazing first time ATV experience with Torex Rentals! Friend and I made a last minute decision to ride ATVs in our last day on the Oregon Coast and we found Torex Rentals on google. Booking was easy - there was plenty of availability on the website for the following day so we reserved an hour rental at 9am for two riders. The rental office is less than 10 minutes away from downtown Florence, located near the Oregon Dunes Natural Area. The website states to come at least 45 minutes early, and I would recommend arriving an hour before just because it does take time to set up. We checked in with the staff around 8:15am and filled out the paperwork. One of the employees explained the forms to everyone and then afterwards we watched a safety education video. This was very informative! Most of these types of videos are pretty dry but this one was actually done very well - good production. Next, we got helmets, googles, and a fanny pack to secure our personal belongings. There are also cubbies to hold your items. The employees explained the ATV features and then guided us to the dunes. We got familiar with the ATV during this practice stretch. After that, we were free to explore the dunes and it was so much fun! I was a bit nervous but the safety video made me feel more comfortable. The dunes were mostly empty at the time which was great! Note: The 60 minutes includes the return time so we roamed around for 50 minutes and used the last 10 to get back to the office. I appreciated how we got a lot of freedom with the ATVs. I had a great time with Torex, highly recommend!
Amazing experience! Great place to enjoy on a date, your honeymoon, or your anniversary which we did. Great customer service and professionalism by the staff especially one particular named Jared. He helped us, since it was our first time to guide us through the dunes and helped up get back to headquarters. Thanks Jared! We appreciate you
OK, kind of a crazy story! My wife and I went in to see about renting an ATV for the following day. She asks me if I want to do the guided tour. That's when they drive for you. NO those suck, I said. Well Larsen, hope I'm spelling his name correctly, says " you have never driven with me" there is no way it would suck! And he tells us the trails and how he takes care of his customers. DAMN OK let's do the guided tour! HOLY COW that was a ride that both my wife and I will never forget!! There is no way in the world that I driving could have made want more funner or more exciting!! A big THANK YOU to Larsen, glad you have great hearing LOL
The experience was awesome. We rented the side by side dune buggy. They explained everything very thoroughly. Got us on the dunes quickly and were very hands off, which I appreciated. The dunes were gorgeous, scary and fun. The machines were well maintained and capable. Staff was very nice.
We were walk-ins because I wasn't sure what sizes of ATV we should rent for us and our teenage son. From the moment we walked up, the staff at Torex were welcoming and answered all our questions. Be prepared to spend about 45 minutes on safety info and paperwork before you get on your machine. Also, there's a pretty steep walking trail between the main building and where the quads are kept: not too long, and not terribly difficult even for an overweight 50+ year old woman, but definitely a consideration for some. We went out on the dunes, a first for all of us, and we had an absolute blast. Pay attention to the safety video! We used the techniques they showed us when my son and I each got stuck briefly. (It was only briefly, because they taught us what to do!) We will be back. What a fabulous time!
Their customer service wasn't that great and they talked us out of what we had already reserved because one of our guest in our group is 68 and the manager didn't think he'd be comfortable on an ATV. Then, when I said I was driving, he didn't think that I would fit in the driver seat because I'm only 5 foot even though I've owned an ATV before. Just seem like he was super egotistical. I definitely won't be back. The quads my family ended up renting instead of the ATV. One of them should've been in a mini quad so that he could've enjoyed his experience better as my daughter had to keep helping him out so two of them did not enjoy the trip as well as the other two that didn't need assistance. Also, when we were getting the equipment, the guy helping out a smaller group was definitely doing a better job than the male that gave us our quads because he provided one on one instruction with the younger kid in the group so that he really knew what he was doing. I had to tell our Guy to help out my youngest nephew because I didn't want any of the other kids having to help him while out on the Dune so that they could all enjoy it, but this did not happen. Really a great experience with Torex. Brie was very patient and helpful and explained everything very well. I got the smaller semi-automatic 250cc ATV which was more than enough power for me. My ATV was in good shape and the dunes were awesome. An hour was plenty of time to have a good look around and I was very satisfied with that amount of time. I'll be back.
I felt like the Torex team did a great job of explaining the ins and outs of riding safely on the dunes, as well as providing a structured onboarding process (form review, gear check-out, intro to driving the atv's, etc.,). They provided clear boundaries for us to ride in and gave lots of opportunities to ask questions. They are not a tour guide company, so we were given free rein to ride on any path we chose...which was both liberating and terrifying. ATV's are no joke...and our family felt well prepared to ride cautiously and safely, thanks to the Torex crew!

This experience is spectacular! I didn't have any experience riding an ATV before my first visit in the summer of 2025, but the staff go over what to expect, what to watch out for, and how to be safe throughly. All staff are friendly and want you to enjoy your ride. They provide all the gear you will need and guide you out to the sand dunes. From there, you are free to ride wherever you wish within the boundaries. I went back this winter 2025 and had another fantastic experience. I can't recommend it enough. Thanks team Torex! read more

So Much Fun! Entire staff was so helpful and friendly. It was our first time ever on the sand dunes and we felt very informed of the dangers, so we always felt safe and had an absolute blast! Highly recommend!! read more

Very thorough instructions on how to drive and be safe. We got lost on our return and they picked up emergency line right away. We had so much fun! Just go slow and be extra cautious until you get the hang of it!! Make sure you goto the beach! It's a blast! read more

My friend and I just did this for the first time and we had a blast! We did a side by side dune buggy. From beginning to end the staff was professional, the gear worked great, and the dunes were really fun. Jared was awesome, he gave us a serious, but fun safety talk, and really let us know what we should expect and where/why we should go to certain areas. It definitely helped having a navigator because the sands play tricks with your mind. Overall I'd do it again and I'd do it with Torex. Worth it! read more

Perfect experience. Great peeps, biz, and SxS. Smooth (but thorough) process to protect themselves and keep you safe! Great riding area with everything you could want in terrain and scenery. Heed the "snow blindness" comments, keep a cool head, and watch the time, and you will have a perfect experience too! read more

2.75 stars maybe? Be prepared to sign all of your rights away before you ride because you're now responsible for everything machine wise!!!! If I had read the previous reviews I probably wouldn't have gone because I'm new to ATVing. They show you all the things that keep you from rolling the machine but not really how to drive it safely. This is NOT a guide service!!!! They take you to a certain point and then leave. The map provided was hysterical because it really didn't show enough markers for you to figure out where you are and more importantly....how to get back. One of the guys rolled his machine and it landed on top of him. He was able to get through to the support people after a while. He's now $450 cheaper for bending the metal rack that fell on his chest. 1/2 of the group of 6 enjoyed themselves. Buyer beware. read more

First time renting and riding ATV's, and it was a BLAST! Went with my wife and two daughters, 10 and 8, and we all had so much fun. Special shout out to Jerry, who outfitted us with our helmets, goggles, and ATV's, and who provided us with a tutorial and spent extra time orienting our girls with a test lap in the lot before going out. He was so warm, positive and safety-oriented. When it became clear my 8-yr old would not be able safely control her ATV, he outfitted us with a dune buggy I could drive and she could ride with me, and for no extra charge! We all had an incredible experience and would highly recommend to everyone! read more
