I did a google search for places in the East Bay. This place came up; however, I am a little confused by the different websites out there. I think it is all this same location but they might have 2 different websites. It is hard to tell which one is the newer or older one or why they didn't get rid of one of them to minimize confusion. I called one of the phone numbers listed on the website. Someone answers quickly and I inquire about consultation/pricing. I asked a few questions and the person on the phone told me they'll have me speak to the doctor. Before I knew it, they directly transferred me to the dentist and he offered to do a free consultation the same day. At first, I think he said he could do a virtual consult. Since I knew the situation was very complex and would benefit from in-person appointment, I asked if we could come in-person which was fine. They were available that day in the afternoon and off to Fremont we go! The appointment lasted significantly longer due to the complexity of the issue, there was a lot of discussion and consults and questions about everything. At the end of the day, no further information was given aside to come back again when things heal. So basically, the free consult felt wasted since I wasn't able to gather what the practice could or could not do. When we asked about coming back, there was a fee of $250 for another consult. I was a little frustrated and upset about that because if we knew we had to return for a second consult, then I would have waited for the first consult to do it a lot later. Like I said, the whole situation was complex and required someone specialized. I imagine this office is specialized in implants/allOnX, but they also felt a little disorganized based on the length of the appointment. I am sure they were being as thorough but it felt like it was pulled many different directions. And I was also upset to find out the 2nd consult was not free even though the first consult didn't provide me anything (no treatment plan, no costs, nothing) and the first consult told us to come back. So this review is only my experience with the initial first impression/consult. I have no comment about their actual dental procedures/implants, they seem to be fairly competent but I did not have the opportunity to experience it.

I was super nervous about the whole process, but Dr. K did everything so well and so fast, and I barely felt anything! Yesterday was my second visit, and he managed to reopen two old implant sites to attach abutments, extract a tooth, do a bone graft, and place 3 implant and all in one go! I only felt a little discomfort for a few hours after getting home, and then nothing at all. Dr. K is incredibly skilled. His precise and confident technique minimizes tissue damage, making healing much faster and easier. If you need dental work, trust him and cooperate with him--he knows exactly what to do! Dr. Warren Lee, who I had finished my orthodontic treatment with in February 2012. He had noticed that I had gum line recession and recommended I see his colleague, Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang is patient, skilled, and thorough. Alongside her periodontal work, she advocates for preventive oral hygienic care. During our consultation, she did the red dye demo with me to demonstrate the benefits of proper brushing and flossing. That's more than my actual dentists have ever done for me! The dental office is shared with another general practice dentist. Sophia, the receptionist, is incredibly congenial. Before our consultation, she answered the many questions my dad and I had regarding cost and insurance coverage. The dental assistant Audrey was also amiable and cheerful. The consultation cost a bit (no more than $50) because Dr. Wang needed digital x-rays of my teeth. The gum surgery graft cost me $1400 per tooth, but my insurance covered a significant portion, fortunately. Also, there's no charge for check-ups--only for procedures. My periodontal graft procedure in summer 2012 went very smoothly. I vaguely remember watching her slice open my palate to extract a piece of self-regenerative tissue to place over my exposed tooth. Recovery took a few days, and I had to be very careful when flossing. But I'm happy to say that my tooth's new gum is doing fantastic! :B Just a note: she only practices on Wednesdays and Fridays.
