Deals posted online. No other signs around the building. Showed up at 6:50 and started bowling around7

This is outrageous!!! The deals have been the same for over 2 years now. This was once my favorite bowling alley, but whoever is managing now is hiring scum. Don't do this to people man! What's the point? After I was charged this much for water(6.50) I asked for a dr.pepper instead of water to try to get my moneys worth. The guy doesn't pour out the water (mind you I had no where to dump the water or else I would have myself) but instead just puts the dr.pepper in with the water. The guy at the concession wouldn't have been hired if it were my business, but I guess it's not, so I downloaded yelp to at LEAST get some disciplinary action going on here. I knew the price it should have been, so I handed the guy my card without him reading the total out to me first. I saw the receipt, gave a hefty tip, and forgot about it....until it ringed later. Not only did I spend double the price it should have been for the bowling which was 10 dollars a person for unlimited after 6!!!!! Or 5? I can't remember but it's never been 7!!!!!

Because it is unique and has entertainment at the mall--it is very busy. That's expected. Where I…read morewould say it falls short is in terms of staffing. They either don't have enough people on staff, too many new people who aren't trained, or staff that just doesn't seem to care. Management looks overwhelmed with the demand of business and it's hard to imagine they've even gotten adequate training. The vibe screams emergency promotions and necessity hires. Now I can admit that my view is biased. We had bad service and bad food. We set a VIP reservation and had to wait 1 hour after the reservation to be able to bowl. We were told we would get our own server (nice!). But that didn't happen. The 2-3 servers were so enmeshed with the birthday party in the other half of the VIP room that they basically forgot we existed. They got our drinks--delivered 45 minutes later. Got our food order--came out right before our timer ended. The experience was not enjoyed. But looking around--I think everyone felt that way. From the customers to servers, and management...just everyone having a negative experience. If you wish to go just for the arcade games or laser tag I think you'll be ok. But I'd pass on the bowling and food.

Great fun miniature golf that takes it to a whole new level!…read more Venue: looks can be deceiving. Doesn't look like it can accommodate 3 courses but it sure can. Has small kitchen for food and drinks( soft drinks and beer). Has sitting area to eat. Small arcade area. The miniature golf course here is so awesome- it is not your average miniature golf course. It has unique chances a long with it- weather throwing balls, , puzzles, coordination, you name it. It even has a small zip line within! Service: everybody was very friendly Price: reasonable. Came here with my son but I enjoyed it more!

There are 3 course Yellow, red, and blue. I didn't realize that there were multiple course until half way through the course I was wondering how I get on the indoor bus. Each course had a uniqueness that made it completely different from the other courses. My favorite from Yellow course was the zip line, red course was the slippery floor and the Rocket , and blue course was the bus and pool table. Each course & hole had an activity thaw was an interactive experience. The cost for this activity was $16 for all 3 courses per person, great price for this experience. The staff were friendly and answered all my questions. I didn't eat but definitely bring a water bottle as they have refill station near the bathroom. The bathrooms were clean as well as the inside & on the courses. Employee was dusting the course in between people finishing their shots. The parking lot was huge, so definitely plenty of parking. I had a great time and definitely recommend, if you're looking for a fun, unique activity. Cheers

I wasn't thrilled with my bowling experience at High Point Bowling Center. The value for money and…read moreambiance were both lackluster. I was disappointed when I joined their mailing club to get a coupon and then the coupon said it could only be used if printed. The whole point of mobile/emailed coupons is convenience. I didn't have time to find a printer, so I ended up paying full price. It was $4 per person for each game and $4 for shoe rental. This seemed like a lot for a weekday afternoon, so we only decided to play one game. I was pleased to discover that they sold a socks, which I desperately needed. The bowling balls seemed older and heavily used. We were assigned to a lane right next to a large party, when there were numerous other lanes opened. In spite of all this, we made the best of it and had fun. When we were done with our game, we were ready to get out of there. The attendant was MIA, so we left our shoes and peaced out. Overall, it wasn't my favorite bowling experience.

Located on the south side of High Point, High Point Bowling Center has been around for as long as I…read morecan remember. Bill Cornell and partners assumed ownership from Michael Amos in 2010. I remember coming here in middle school in the mid-90s. There used to be cigarette vending machines at this bowling alley (not anymore). I ran into one of my schoolmates one night and I watched as she casually inserted money and bought a pack of cigarettes, even banging on the machine loudly to get the pack to fall out. Our sixth grade social studies teacher was in a lane not far from us. Funny how that's the one thing I remember most about this place growing up. 20-some-odd years later, I returned to this bowling alley to meet up with some old friends. We met last week over the holidays. We originally were going to meet at Tar Heel Lanes (the old Brunswick) on North Main, but it appeared to have closed permanently. This is still very much an old school bowling alley with some enhancements here and there. The building hasn't changed from the outside. Purple High Point University flags now fly outside the main entrance. There's a spacious parking lot. There's a pro shop just inside the entrance followed by the lane and shoe rental counter, a pool and arcade room, and a bar and grill. There are 32 lanes total. The arcade room has a few pool tables and games such The Fast and the Furious arcade racing game (one of the screens appears to be blown out), skee ball, a jukebox, dance rhythm games, claw games, and more. The bar and grill is called Sidelines Sports Grill. The sports bar is quite spacious with many big, bright, and crisp TVs playing sports. I like the giant Coors Light / Wake Forest football and men's basketball graphic on the wall. I bought a Pepsi at the bar here for $1.99 ($1.86 + $0.13 tax), served in a Styrofoam cup. According to my receipt, the sports bar is open until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights with a DJ and karaoke after 9:30pm. Games of bowling are a good deal. Shoe rentals were $3. We paid $2.75 per person per game. Rates vary depending on day and time. I took a picture of the pricing which you can find here: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/high-point-bowling-center-high-point?select=F9XSGxG-jLRfPZcki7iBBw#F9XSGxG-jLRfPZcki7iBBw. $2 games and $2 shoes all day Sunday. $1 games and $1 shoes all day Monday except between 6-9pm. Be sure to check out their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/High-Point-Bowling-Center/135155726510999) for even more specials. The communal bowling balls, rental shoes, and bowling lanes all seemed to be in adequate condition. Widescreen displays above our lane kept track of scoring. There was a keyboard stand in front of the bowling ball return which we could use to edit our names and scores if needed. Plenty of seating is available at each lane consisting of both four and six-top tables along with bar-height four-tops. The carpet reminds me of a 1990s kids party: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/high-point-bowling-center-high-point?select=F9XSGxG-jLRfPZcki7iBBw#B7V5S6b2nYnU6m10uS_x7Q. Service was A-OK. The lockers and restrooms are located on a far end of the bowling alley across from lane 32.
