It's important for your child to see providers who look like him. We absolutely love Dr Roopal Patel, she's very thorough, funny, to the point, and knowledgeable. She has a great way of relating to both children and their caregivers. She also responds to messages left on the RN line or via the patient portal. We book our well visits in advance to ensure we get her as I believe she works part-time and her schedule fills up quickly. We've also seen many other providers (e.g. Dr Yee, Dr Gaynor, Dr Greene (now retired), and ARNPs) if it was urgent matter or Dr Patel had a conflict. We've been very satisfied with the care and communication provided by this practice. The front office really does try to get your child in ASAP if it's an urgent matter. I love that their office has late and weekend appointments and has many locations in the Tampa Bay Area. The other practices allows parents to bring your kids there for an urgent visit if this Madaca Ln location is closed. Highly recommend!

Between those locations you have access to night and weekend hours as well as an on call nurse. Between our two kids, we've used all their services. Of the four Pediatric Healthcare Alliance locations I've visited, the one in Lutz is my favorite. What's do I love about it? The pros: *Dr. Hartman and her fellow doctors and staff have been doing this a long time. They have a rapport with kids and a way to get them to do things (shots) that they wouldn't otherwise do. *Two waiting rooms, one for sick kids and one for healthy. Cuts down on some of the cross contamination that can occur. *DVD playing to entertain the kids while waiting. *Quick turnaround between checking in and getting taken back to a check up room *Theme decorated check up rooms. These include planes, jungle, ocean and super hero themed. *Personalized time with the doctor. Yes they are in a hurry and have other appointments but the visit never seems rushed. They take and answer questions! *Stickers at checkout for the kids *Walls that are covered with Christmas cards and pictures from the kids who have come through this Pediatric Healthcare Alliance location (this is the big thing that sets this location apart from other Alliance locations I've visited). *Recommendations for alternatives when the appointments at this location fill up. *Same day sickness appointments. You can not schedule an appointment dealing with sickness for the next day. You have to call back then. This is a pro because there are appointments open each day. It is a con too because appointments are divvied up on a first come, first serve basis. Early morning doctor calling is not always a fun time. Ok, so what's not to love about this location? They only con, other than what I mentioned in the last bullet point, is that this location does not have late evening or weekend hours. If you need to visit a doctor during those times, you will need to go elsewhere. Overall, a great pediatric experience!
