To begin with, they…read moreovercharged me for a simple routine well visit, which immediately raised concerns about their billing practices. When I decided to call their billing department for clarification, I was met with astonishingly rude and sarcastic behavior from the person on the other end of the line. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, they condescendingly remarked that visiting the doctor's room doesn't grant me the right to know what I'm being charged for. This kind of attitude is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable when dealing with healthcare billing. It's a basic expectation for patients to have clarity about the costs associated with their medical visits. The dismissive and disrespectful tone from their billing representative was really disappointing and made me change my primary doctor for my two kids because it was not the first time I had to call for extra charge.

Dr Raguthu was there for my family and I when we needed her for an emergency. Thank you!!!

First, getting an appointment was a nightmare. They had multiple no-shows where I arrived on time only to be told that the doctor wasn't available. When I finally did see the doctor, they were late by over an hour with no apology or explanation. The service was equally disappointing. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in providing good care. I felt rushed during the consultation, and my questions were barely addressed. Overall, I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate pediatric care.

I was referred to see Dr Barry DO here at Canody Pediatrics, but only saw Dr Canody…read more As i sat in the waiting room, i kept feeling like i should leave. Every child that went in was heard screaming and/or crying. The woman at the front desk when i walked in was not welcoming at all and never told me where to go or what to expect. After my kids and i were asked into a room, we spoke with a woman (who i assume was a nurse) and she was very cold shoulder/rude to us. My baby was uneasy and unhappy the entire time this woman was in the room with us. After going in and out of the room a couple times and leaving the door open, the nurse left and came back in with a tray of stuff. I was nursing my baby at the time, she said to stay just like that and acted as though she was going to do something to her, but had not explained anything to me. When i asked her what she was doing she told me. I declined the service. She cut me off and explained in detail very impatiently what she wanted to do. Again I said no, im not doing that today. She curtly replied "ok.", grabbed her tray of stuff and abruptly left room slamming the door shut on her way out. The next thing i know, the office manager comes in and starts telling me that Dr. Canody is going to meet with me and not Dr. Barry, because according to my intake forms im not going to be participating in vaccinations for my kids, and Dr. Barry doesnt see patients who dont do regular vax schedules. I explain to her that i dont know what shes talking about. The reason im there is to get shots for my baby, and that i was referred to Dr Barry because she was supposedly so great. And I was hoping to speak with the doctor to explain my situation, so that we could work out a good schedule together. Anyway, after the office manager left, I eventually spoke with Dr. Canody. She actually told me that the reason her nurse acted the way she did was because they get 'burned' by families all the time who promise to come back but dont. After i requested a different nurse, a new nurse came in to do the shots. They had me lay my baby down on the table and lay my arm across her body and hold her arms down while she gave her the shots. Then when we checked out, the nurse I specifically requested to avoid, was sitting behind the office manager glaring at me. I have NEVER been treated or disrespected so much by a DOCTOR'S OFFICE?!! I DO NOT recommend this practice. Ive been to 3 different states with my children and Canody pediatrics was the WORST experience Ive ever had. As to their reply: No, Their practice is not meant for everyone. As someone who has moved to several states in a short amount of time and fallen behind in some areas, I was shocked at the level of judgement. Some parents due to their situation fall behind in the vax schedule and it has nothing to do with anything else, but they never even asked or cared. They judged me from the first second I entered their waiting room. I love that you try to act as though you care about me and my family online in your reply, but we both know how you really treat patients. Best of luck to you too.

I was very lucky thatmy sister's recommendation of Dr.Demery for my new PCP worked out 4 years ago…read more I'd just moved back to Tampa after more than 30 years away and was not looking forward to finding a new practice, having been very very pleased with my prior PCP at an Ohio State University Medical Center community practice in Columbus, Ohio. I need not have been worried Dr. Demery is aces! He is well-informed, affable, and very attentive, as I'm happy to report, is everyone I've encountered at the practice. The practice is easy to get a hold of and communicates well in-person, over the phone, and through their app. (‍ I swear I'm not using a chatbot but realized I may sound like one having just given three qualities in a row. ) The office is conveniently located off of Linebaugh on Wilsky, the latter of which streets puts you right on the Veterans Memorial Highway. Plenty of parking. A big convenience store is next door if you have a hankering for something before you head home. Pro tip: if you have been a good patient AND ask politely, I hear they will let you pick out a sticker as you leave the office.

Still the biggest fan of Dr. Bilella…read more I have a seven and five year-old, both very energetic boys. I always feel seen when we see Dr. Bilella. He always spends a lot of time talking through things with me, even when I feel like I'm the one who's in a rush to get the kids back to school. I also appreciate how good he seems about remembering children and their families. I feel like we are more than a chart to him. My younger son was bouncing all over the wall when we had our appointment, Dr. B did a great job redirecting his attention and making sure he did a thorough exam. I also find it very easy to get same-day sick appointments when needed. We may not always see Dr. B when we need one immediately, but I found all of the staff there is fantastic. They actually never seem super busy, which is nice. It means that your child is probably in the waiting room by themselves playing or with one other child. I appreciate how they have a child's waiting room and an adult waiting room, because I also come to this practice and see NP Ritchie. Overall we've always had a very positive experience here. They've also improved their wait times so I never feel like I'm waiting long. Everyone we interact with is always kind and professional from the front staff to the doctors. I would highly recommend come here.

First, Janae Tomkins is absolutely great. However, the practice is trash. I called for an…read morealbuterol inhaler refill in January, and because I hadn't been seen since my physical in May, I had to make a follow-up appointment. During the appointment, Janae and I spoke for about 15 minutes. I told her that I'd make an appointment for my annual physical in May. I went to the front desk to make an appointment for a physical and was told that the appointment that I just had was a physical. I called the next day to clear up any misunderstanding, and make sure my insurance was billed accordingly and was told by the receptionist that she would check "with the office". She called me back and informed me that, because my insurance wants people to have physicals at the beginning of the year, it was a physical. I then told the receptionist that I normally ask for full bloodwork to be ordered at my annual physical, and that I'd like an order for bloodwork. The receptionist then told me that I'd have to make another appointment to come back to the office before an order for bloodwork would be written. It's not unique to this office, but the entire healthcare system is a scam, one which this practice fully embraces. It's built upon making patients unnecessarily, and repeatedly, come in for appointments for the purpose of billing insurance companies.

But definitely not for neurodivergent children. They just did not seem to know how to handle this (medication and advice-wise especially) or how to handle a child who was already medicated. Needless to say, we switched pedias and could not be happier. The new one is fantastic and handles everything with the care that is needed. Otherwise, the pedia here is nice just not what we needed.
