No one was at the front desk and there was a note to call a number if no one was available. I called, no answer. At 20 minutes until start time I went in when I saw someone working the desk. I spoke with her and she advised it was her first time working a party and she wasn't sure of the procedure. She walked me to an area and said I think this is where you'll be. I asked if we could set up at the tables and she said she didn't know. The bathroom was locked she said she would have to check and see how to get in. She said everyone there needed to fill out a waiver. I asked if just the swimmers should do that and their parents. She said every person in the building needed one. I said typically a waiver of liability is just for the swimmers or participants and she said "don't be difficult about it - I was told everyone needed them so just fill them out". She then walked away. Ad guests began to arrive she advised everyone should rinse before entering the pool. The kids did and one jumped in. It was 11:53 and the party was scheduled from 12-2. She said everyone out of the pool - it's not your party time yet. We had them get out and wait. The lady then advised she was also doing therapy in another area and was working double duty and went to another room. The toilet in the restroom looked rotten and guests were not able to use it. I messaged the owner and asked for a call back. I advised of the difficulty we'd had and my frustration. He said, "I'm sorry for the hiccup- I thought she'd be smoother than that". He said it was a hectic weekend bc of the holiday and many people were out of town. We had no more contact with the woman from check in until she showed back up while my daughter was opening gifts at 1:44 and said the next party had already arrived so we needed to be sure we wrapped up soon and were out by 2. The kids swam and had fun regardless - because they're kids, but this was so stressful and miserable as the parent and party host. We will never, ever return to this business. If you're on the fence about planning a party here- don't waste your time or money.

My daughter has extreme attachment to mom and I but she goes running to Kelsey lol. It is fairly simple, nothing too advanced and all of the machines are very well maintained. There is only one of each kind of machine, except for benches, which causes short waits when the gym is busy. Several full sets of dumbells are available. There are about 8 treadmills, plus elliptical, rowing and biking machines! There are two gyms, a larger one and a smaller one that can be used for basketball or volleyball. A nice pool area has a wading pool, a lap pool and a water slide for the small people. There is a game room with electronic as well as other games. I have not used it, but they also have a small library and a theater! The link has the latest fees, but it cost me $3 for a day pass and I can also use the gym at Sports.com for the day. Even the salad was tasty and fresh. Husband's only complaint was that he would rather have Ranch dressing with the potato skins over just sour cream, but it is just his personal preference. But the one dish that sold the place for us was the BBQ pork and mac 'n cheese!! We got it to share out of curiosity and we do not regret it! Finally after the 4x asking I received my water. Owner walked up and asked her how much revenue so far today and she said 362.90. They opened at 11, it's 5p by this time. 6 hours, two bartenders and 1 chef. Now the semi-good part, ordered 3 beers and the tab came to 4.50. Pretty sweet so I ended up tipping 15.50. Had to use the restroom, got up and apparently they thought I was leaving and one of the 3 girls sitting around doing nothing said thank god he's gone. It was weird. One of the other workers was talking about giving her brother and his 16 year old friends alcohol and they cheered her on. It was just weird all around. The place could use a heavy cleaning instead of bunch of lazy 22 y/o. No beef with the owner, I just think he should weigh more heavily on the ability to do the job rather than tight clothes and shitty attitudes with no patron awareness. This place needs bar rescue.

We experienced a catastrophic failure of both workmanship and professional integrity. When we signed our contract (early January), we were promised a pool that would be ready for the Spring season. Instead, we were met with month after month of delays and excuses. The project dragged on for nearly a year and wasn't "finished" until the end of summer (final Inspection passed October) We lost an entire season of use due to their inability to manage a schedule or supervise their crews. The construction itself was plagued by major errors, including a botched pool layout and elevation. We were told we would see the forms prior to pouring the base layout. We went out of town and found the layout grossly incorrect. When we demanded they fix their own mistake, the owner, Jordan, attempted to charge us to correct it. In a separate situation, we were told to purchase a 5000+ retaining wall or sign a waiver releasing them from structural warranty (they were trying to force on us to cover their errors). After weeks of bantering, Jordan finally came on-site to discuss the wall. To which, he became hostile and started yelling at us in our backyard. He threatened to abandon the project entirely and verbally berated us, claiming we had "run out of money" and were "just trying to get things for free." This was a blatant attempt at financial intimidation. They installed our coping using silicone adhesive instead of a proper mortar bed. This created a dangerous "false bond," causing tiles to pop off and creating a fall hazard. When it was reported, I was blamed for purchasing the wrong materials. I purchased a product specific for pools and used throughout the United States. In October, we reported a significant, visible water loss (estimated at over an inch per day). The company said it was normal "evaporation". From his office, he repeatedly dismissed a 600% higher-than-normal water loss as "evaporation" to avoid his warranty obligations. The company only reached out to send someone once they realized we were serious about filing formal complaints with the State of Tennessee and other venues. This "offer" came only after the damage was done and the liner had collapsed. We have already hired a licensed professional to perform the repairs Backyard Blues ignored since the water loss was reported last year. Their sudden "availability" is a desperate attempt to protect their license, not help a customer. Because they refused to investigate the leak, the ongoing water caused the total liner collapse, shrinkage, and massive wrinkles throughout. The new company to fix their mistake said we were very "lucky" the liner was able to be salvaged. Two other local pool professionals have confirmed that this company's standards have plummeted. I am certain the company will respond by gaslighting this review--claiming we were "difficult," trying to blame the leak on our winterization company, or making excuses for the plumbing. Do not be fooled. We were incredibly patient for nearly a year, but this company simply cannot be trusted with your money or your property. Avoid at all costs.

They didn't treat me like a Number. They didn't act like most Pool stores that want to get you in and get you out without solving your problem.
