Very busy but the service was great. We really enjoyed the food. We all had different breakfast items. Will definitely be returning.

What a fantastic little out of the way restaurant right in the middle of a working marina. There…read morewas plenty of parking, including parking for a vehicle towing a boat trailer. There is handicap parking, and the building is handicap accessible. Having never been there before, we were thankful for the signage directing us to the doors. They do have a couple of picnic tables outside. If you choose to sit out there to eat in the sunshine, that is an option. The staff was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, which is always nice when trying a new place. The restaurant is a little rustic. However, it was very clean and decorated to go with the marina setting in mind. The menu had plenty of options. However, some options on the menu are not always available. They also have several specials written on a board on the wall. I asked if they serve breakfast all day and was told they do have some who come in any time of day just for breakfast. I am however unclear as to what days and hours they are open. There were 2 of us in our party and both happened to order a chicken sandwich and fries. One was a grilled chicken sandwich and the other was the fried chicken sandwich. They were both very good with a unique and flavorful sauce on them. There was a sweet fry bread on the specials board so we ordered it to go and it was fantastic. We decided if we are ever in the area again, we would return just for that.

I added hashbrowns with cheese and onions which I didn't need. Very generous breakfast. Actually…read morecalled Muddy Waters Cafe. Give these folks a shot, it was really good!

We came here for to celebrate my dad's birthday and it turned out to be a wonderful evening. The…read moreservice was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was very dark and intimate. We ordered the saganaki to start, which was flambéed table side and it was fresh and delicious. We shared the porterhouse and the lamb chops (which were loins, not ribs) and there was an extra $8 charge on shared plates. The porterhouse was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The filet portion was my favorite part. The lamb loin chops were very thick and came with 4 large pieces. Each order came with a side salad or soup, and some type of potato, with many options to choose from. I love the Greek influence on this steak house restaurant. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or for a nice dinner.

My wife and I came to Galena to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. For our Saturday night…read moredinner, we decided to go to Log Cabin, hoping to celebrate the occasion properly. When I called to make our reservation, I let the staff know we were coming in for our 10-year anniversary. When we arrived, I also mentioned it to the host (the bald gentleman with glasses). He responded with, "Well, your wife is right behind you--there goes the surprise," as if she wouldn't know it was our anniversary. At no point during the evening did anyone acknowledge our celebration or even say "Happy anniversary." I even asked our waiter, Pat M., whether anyone had told him we were celebrating anything. He said no--that no one had informed him we were there for our anniversary. We didn't come expecting free food, dessert, or anything special. But not acknowledging our anniversary at all--especially after we mentioned it twice--was frustrating. Every other place we've celebrated at has at least offered a simple "Happy anniversary," if not a dessert, flowers on the table, or a personalized menu. Log Cabin truly dropped the ball, and I believe the host is largely to blame.

A pretty busy place with locals and people from other areas. There's about what's expected on the menu it seems. Before even coming in there's a smell of barbecue. It's got a pretty full menu. There's a bar in the middle surrounded by plenty of tables. Beers are the main thing of course. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we had of these was the Coldstream Lager. This is a full bodied Bavarian style. A lot of the food is meaty. Brisket and that kind of stuff. Among the appetizers is the Cowboy Caviar. One of the few vegetarian options. This is a mixture of beans, cilantro, corn, jalapeños, red onions, and tomatoes. It's about $16 for the Tex-Mex Bowl. This has avocado, cilantro rice, Cowboy Caviar, marinated cucumbers, pico de gallo, and Thai sauce. Of course an option is to get it with meats added. There's plenty more things including burgers and pork belly tacos among the livestock based foods. For around here it's one of the better places for big crowds. It's got beers and barbecue along with some healthier options. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
