Such a great and relaxing restaurant just foot steps from the sea. The staff here is so friendly and delightful, shout out to Ted and Dee for just being absolutely incredible. The wings are so deliciously fresh, crispy and perfect temperature. The Bang Bang shrimp had the perfect kick of sweet and spicy. Also the bread pudding is oh so yummy try it if you feel for some dessert. Just an overall great food experience.

We were walking along the beach and happened upon Sand Castle on the beach. You have to get a day pass to use the deck chairs. We had a couple of drinks at the bar, which is open to everyone. This is a great place to watch the sunset. They serve dinner and have specials.

Another wonderful visit. They appear to do a lot of repeat business, and it's easy to see why. Ted and Chris have created a safe and comfortable space to relax. It has an its own beach with free beach loungers and umbrellas, plus there are two pools. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is super friendly and helpful.

To fully appreciate our experience at Sandcastle On The Beach, you have to understand how our trip began: We originally booked at a resort on the north side of the island using Marriott points. When we arrived there, we were told that the water would be turned off intermittently, and we found that, when we did have water, it was cold. The pool was green and closed for the duration of our stay and there was mold in the bathroom. We then tried to check into a hotel in Frederiksted, but the office was locked up and there was nobody to check us in. Finally, at nearly 10:00 p.m., not really knowing what to do, I called Sandcastle, who I had heard about in passing from somebody I met in a bar earlier in the day. I was pleasantly surprised that the owner answered at that late hour and that, not only did they have rooms, but he offered to SHOW us the available rooms and let us pick the one we liked best. All of the rooms were great, but, for the minor difference in price, we selected the King Villa with the ocean view. It was dark when we checked in, but we could tell we were pretty close to the ocean. Even knowing that, I wasn't prepared for the view that awaited us the next morning. It was breathtaking and we were 10 steps from the beach and probably 20 steps from the water's edge. It is the location you dream about when planning a Caribbean Beach vacation. The room itself included a large living area with sofa bed, a full kitchen, double-sink bathroom with shower, a separate bedroom with king-sized bed, and a back patio with a seating area and an outdoor shower. The suite was well-appointed and well-equipped with a microwave, Keurig, toaster, dishes, plates, mugs, glasses and, of course, all of the things you would expect like towels, soap and shampoo. It's a smaller property but it leaves you wanting nothing. There are two pools, a full restaurant with outstanding food and reasonable prices, a full bar, ample chairs, tables and umbrellas. Everything is very clean and the attention to detail is second to none. The entire property is enveloped in lush and well-maintained tropical landscaping. You are even liable to see an iguana or two wandering about. I was completely blown away by everything that was included. I have stayed at enough beachfront resorts to know that nearly everything but the room is typically extra. Sandcastle included a continental breakfast, beach chairs with covers, towels, umbrellas and tables, as well as snorkeling equipment - all at no charge. That number of included amenities is unheard of, in my experience. All of that said, what really makes Sandcastle special is its people. Chris and Ted, the owners, could not have been more gracious when we were in a desperate situation. They truly saved our trip. We were really questioning our decision to visit St Croix after our initial experiences, and they made our vacation wonderful. They kept checking on us over and over after we moved in to make sure things were going well. They didn't have to do that but that's the kind of people they are. The entire staff bent over backwards to cater to our every need. I travel quite a bit for business and it's been a very long time since I have seen that commitment to service. That only comes from people who truly care about their guests and that is very very rare. Not only would we go back to St Croix, but we would go back just so we could stay at the Sandcastle. It was a trip we will never forget and we are very grateful to Chris, Ted and the entire staff for making that happen. Thank you!

Very nice atmosphere. On the water restaurant with a concentrated menu of delicious seafood dishes. Price are moderately higher than some other nearby restaurants but the prices matches the quality of the plate. Our server was extremely courteous, friendly and attentive. We dined right by the beach and listen to waves crashing against the sandy beach. When we come back to the island this will be our go to spot! Big Fan

You will never tire of the sunsets from the Sand Castle's beach. Heaven on earth.

The best property, owners, and location on the island. We've stayed here three years in a row and have already made reservations for next year.

    Courtyard to the beach.

This is the gem of the island! Chris and Ted have curated a lovely destination to call home where you are treated like family (the good kind). Spacious and quiet with daily room services. Liz, Rose Marie, KT, Josh and Jordan were exceptional staff/hosts. There isn't a store convenient by foot for necessities but a quick ride to the market will help you get sorted for your stay. Towels were provided for the beach/pool which was a big plus.

Sirloin Prime and Mac and Cheese; to die for!

We ate here for our honeymoon! Can't say enough about this place! Great location, wonderful caring staff BEST VIEW for sunsets and GREAT food!

The owners and most adorable couple are the epitome of quality and polished service/hosting in the most genuine way!

Absolute gem of a resort!! My wife and I were lucky enough to get married and honeymoon at this resort which we lovingly call our "Gay Paradise". The owners are very hands on and extremely kind, genuine, attentive, hardworking, and just an absolute pleasure to be around. This resort has everything from gorgeous views, every amenity you could want, amazing AC, updated/clean rooms, snorkeling right in front of the resort & one of the absolute best restaurants on the entire island of St. Croix! My Wife and I will most definitely be coming back to visit again in the future! The owners & staff made our wedding & honeymoon better that we could have ever imagined!

The property is tucked away in the hills, surrounded by breathtaking scenery that feels peaceful and untouched. Its secluded location made the beaches feel private--soft sand, clear blue water, and the constant sound of waves crashing. The soothing ocean sounds made nights especially relaxing, while the calm water during the day was perfect for splashing, swimming, and enjoying family time. The resort atmosphere was quiet and clean, making it easy to unwind. Drinks were always perfectly frozen, which was a nice treat in the warm island weather. There's a lounge available throughout the day, as well as a restaurant for dinner, and the lounge also serves casual food if you're in the mood for something lighter. The pizza from the lounge was especially good. Dining at the restaurant offered a nice variety of steak and seafood options. Breakfast was a highlight, with a full buffet available each morning along with made-to-order omelets. Be sure to look closely around the omelet station--there's a little hidden surprise where you can often find French toast or pancakes. We missed it the first couple of days but were glad once we discovered it. For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, a roughly 45-minute hike over the hill is well worth the effort. The trail leads to stunning tidal pools and opens up to a striking black stone beach. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and the stones rustling underfoot creates an unforgettable, almost magical experience. Overall, Carambola offered a serene, scenic escape that made our Christmas in the Caribbean truly special.
