Okay let's talk about this relaxing spot. No rough tides, no deep water, not too many rocks to trip and fall. Parked the car in the Governor's parking lot which is walking distance, then hopped on the boat for less than a three minute ride. Boat ride was $10.00 round trip not bad more like a tip. There is a bar on premises. I ordered a rum punch for $8.00 which was amazing. After my beautiful self care in the water, I decided to have a quick bite to eat. The food was on point. The meats were grilled topped a with delicious bbq sauce. Nice beach and not too noisy and crowed. I WILL be back.

Pretty nice place overall…read more The people in 103 have hoarded a bunch of what look like the communal chairs on the part of the shared beach that's near their balcony (under several other balconies), and they might make a big stink if you sit in them, so watch out for that (maybe you can help them move the shared chairs to a part of the shared beach where it won't bother them).

Two grocery stores within walking distance made this easy, plus you could find the local McDonalds, Subway and Leo's Chicken for the inexpensive getaway fast-meal, popular when traveling with children. Daily rental car was inexpensive and they pick up and drop off! This gave us unlimited access to explore the island, shop Christiansted and take in some of the great dining in town. Driving is fun and easy despite being on the opposite side of the road. We really enjoyed and appreciated the on-property experience relaxing by the pool or on the beach as well as quiet times on the unit's private deck. I particularly recommend driving about the island taking at least one full day to stop and explore the remote beaches to the east, rainforest hills to the west and ending the day with dinner at Cain Bay's Eat! Great food selection and a view that can't be beat. Next trip will include scuba diving! Beginners are welcome so non-certified divers can take a 1/2 day class and a reef trip with an instructor.

The next morning I called the office as soon as it was open when I went to clerk, I told them my concerns the clerk reassured me that our next room would be better; however, the second unit ac was not working and although we asked at least four different times no one ever fixed it, there was black mold everywhere, we expected the air conditioner to be working when we returned from Burch but it was not and although we reached out to the staff no one ever came to fix it. To add we were also told on our third day, only after inquiring that the internet was down & therefore the tv would not work. I actually have pictures of all the mold, the room was so unbearable we had to stay on the beach or visit family to avoid the room the whole visit and after finding mold behind the bed we had to vacate the unit in the middle of the night. It was my husband birthday weekend and it was an absolute nightmare. To add I've been a RN for 15 years and the risk of getting sick from staying in either of those units was high. I have stayed at all types of locations on St. Croix and this was the worst place we have ever experienced anywhere.

Well when we made our way to the room everything looked run down not like the pictures on hotels.com, where we booked our stay. There wasn't room in their parking lot to park, so we had to park in the grass, no biggy! We walked to the room and that's when the devastation took place! We couldn't lock the door, had to push it hard to close, the circuit box looked like a fire was about to start at any moment! The way stuff was plugged up, more major hazards. The outside of the property had a huge ditch dug around it. The main light in the room didn't work, the safe wouldn't unlock so we had to get a key. There were no beach loungers, we were told to drag ours from the room to the beach but bring it back before night fall. Told my husband that I just couldn't stay there. Went to the front desk to check out and I explained everything to the lady and her reply was well do you want another room? No ma'am we shouldn't have been placed in that room to begin with! So please beware do not stay here! Still trying to get a refund but hotels.com said the property will not reply to them.

We decided to splurge a bit but felt that the pictures online look nothing like the actual rooms…read more The common spaces are beautifully decorated, but the sleeping rooms are very old, small, musty, covered in bugs, and loud. While some bugs are to be expected, there were bugs in the fridge, on light fixtures, and crawling around the floor. Most importantly, we found it very hard to get a good nights sleep due to all of the noise. The fire alarm went off two mornings in a row, multiple times per day. One was at 5:30 am. One was at 7:30am. Way too early for vacation! Staff said there was nothing they could do about it but made it sound like this does happen regularly due to a sensitive fire system and guests that smoke, kitchen cooking, etc. We also were in a hallway with a door and it was slamming open and shut all night with traffic. As far as the onsite restaurants, I would recommend the HH at the speakeasy Breakers Roar Tiki Bar (6-8). The coffee shop Virgin Islands Coffee Roasters was overpriced and only average. The Mexican restaurant El Leon had good drinks, and was ok for breakfast but they really had a hard time with food allergies/modifications. Good location on the boardwalk, we had to drive around to find street parking a couple times and construction closes the roads nearby frequently, but it's nice to walk. Expect many restaurants and shops nearby to be closed if it's a weekday, or no cruise ship around, etc.
