The food tasted really good mostly. The service was excellent too. We did have several problems during our visit though. There was a bug with wings in one of our groups drinks. They took it away but didn't apologize or offer any type of compensation. She also had to wait a really long time to get a new drink. Some stuff was dirtier than it should have been including the table, chairs and silverware. It was also really pricy too. Overall, it was a decent visit. I'm not sure if we would go back as a group. read more

Denise Rocks!!!! Love her steaks! They are hands down the best in the state. You cannot go anywhere and get a better steak. I do t know what or how she does it but that woman has a secret code on how to cook. This establishment is simply the best. We are life long customers. Thank y'all for all you do. We will definitely be back! read more

Service has always been good. Beers always cold. Bacon wrapped Jalapeños are something I specifically go there for. Not because they are amazing but because they are good. It's a nice little "hole in the wall" spot. Besides that their steaks are great and just a good way to get out for a bit. Always packed and would recommend. read more

The food was fantastic! And I love the vibes of one of the employees, the service was quick and very handy.

So we had a big group in the back room. We tried a ton of different appetizers from fried green tomatoes, fried okra, onion rings (burnt), fried jalapenos, and bacon-wrapped cheese-filled fried jalapenos. All were just okay. I had the 4 oz filet with mash potatoes. Unfortunately, they screwed up my order and brought it with very overcooked broccoli. Instead of a salad, I got the soup of the day which was Taco Soup-- basically bean chili with corn chips. It was too thick to be a soup. The filet was actually good and prepared/seasoned correctly. The decor is kitsch with beach vibes. Service was fine since she was serving about 30 people in our group. read more

Sand Bar - Menu - Nightlife Near Me - Camden, Arkansas

Food was saltly and expensive. It was dead quiet even with a bunch of tables which was weird. The waitress was the shining star of the night. Unless you want to drop a ridiculous amount for mediocre food I wouldn't bother coming. read more

Unless you want a steak that has enough salt on it to pickle you for life, I would stay away. Tried this place several times and the last time I told them to not use and steak seasoning and that I would salt and pepper at the table but it was so salty I couldn't eat it. Will never go back. read more

Ok, this steak is enough to bring me out of Yelp hibernation! We had the "8 oz" filet that was at least a 10 oz! But not only was it huge, it was perfect! No kidding. Grade A prime, perfectly prepared, with a beautiful crust of butter and seasoning bliss. Cooked to a wonderful warm red/pink center. Very juicy and tender enough my wife cut it with her butter knife! When we offered compliments to the chef, she left her kitchen and greeted us personally! Denise said she has spent her life in the restaurant business and it shows. And Bri, our waitress was on top of us, how refreshing. If you are within an hour or so of Camden Arkansas, make the drive just for the steak. You will be glad you did! read more

Great Food. Great atmosphere. Great Staff. Steak was prepared perfect and so are the sides. Get here early because they get busy & close at 10pm according to all the calls. read more

Waited 50 minutes for a burger and a half order of quesadillas. Waitress barely came and checked on our table. Ordered a drink and waited 30 minutes for waitress to come back to tell her I didn't want it anymore because she never brought it. Don't recommend. read more

The steaks are delicious here! How are you greeted here when you visit? The weekends are the best time to visit I hear!

We don't come to Sand Bar much because it's expensive. I took my boys tonight for dinner and we waited 2.5 hours to eat. I ordered the salmon and it was served to me raw. Not only did it take forever but wasn't even cooked. We probably won't be back. read more

Sand Bar - a plate of food and a fork - Nightlife Near Me - Camden, Arkansas

They charge a dollar to run your credit card. I would think that their over priced food for Camden would make up for it!

This is some of the grossest food ever. the meat was tough, the bread was dry and the drink was watery and warm ..,

SURPRISE!!! Wow what an amazing meal!! Unique setting (think beachy) but if your waitress or waiter offers Sea Bass TAKE IT!!! (PRICEY) but melt in your mouth good read more

Out of town, so we ordered enough to take back to the hotel. Irish Nachos, a must. Hubby ordered the ribeye with fries. I had the chicken quesadilla with a side of grilled veggies and we split a plate of sweet potato fries. There was not one problem with any of it. It was wonderful. Wait staff was spot on and the atmosphere is very nice and laid back. The only issue I had was the booth I sat in, kept rocking back and forth because of the inconsiderate people in the table behind me. After they left, the meal was A+! read more

Everything you've heard or read about this place and it's hospitality is 100% true. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the restaurant, everyone was so friendly and kind! I ordered the chicken fried steak - absolutely amazing and HUGE portion size! It literally could feed like 3 adults. My boyfriend ordered the steak, which was also so tasty and a bigger portion than expected. We will definitely come back and visit this restaurant again!! read more

Five stars for the food. Four stars for service. Not that the slow service was due to the waitress. At one time I counted 15 tables full and there were only two waitresses working all 15 tables. Those two waitresses were busting their rear ends. The atmosphere is extremely casual and the decor is a beachy vibe. I started off with the cheese filled tater tots. Nice hot cheesy inside with crunchy outside. For dinner I had the pork chop and a baked sweet potato. The potato is so awesome that the first time I came here over a year ago I started making them at home like this. It has lots of butter and a warm melted brown sugar syrup to pour on it. Now for my reason to come here. The pork chop. It is huge- massive thick cut with bone in. It has a great well seasoned crust on the outside and is tender and juicy on the inside. I have tried to find this at other restaurants but they never measure up. The combo of the naturally salty pork and the sweet potato is the best combo ever. A definite must try!!! read more

I have to say, my family has been coming here for at least 15 years and the way we were treated tonight by the owner was so rude and unprofessional. My mother returned her ribeye steak because of the grisel and it was hard to chew, they gladly took back the steak but left the cost on the bill. When I asked our waitress she told me the owner told her she couldn't take it off. When I spoke with the owner, she rudely told me we're not going to take any amount off the check just because you didn't like something. She was just very, very rude and we won't be back. After all these years. read more

Appetizers: Mozzarella Sticks were bland. Calamari also bland and smelled fishy (I'm actually worried about getting sick). Salads: croutons were so overcooked I hurt my tooth biting into one. Entrees: 16 oz pork chop should have been a dream if melt in your mouth white meat instead it was fried to the point of the knife making a clanging noise when sending to cut it. After cutting off a few very tough pieces looking at the center it was completley dry. The seafood platter which is $30, everything on the plate is fried even the oysters. I think I've had better at Long John Silvers. Everything from the ambiance to the menu is horrible. Overpriced for crappy food. Even the drink menu was poorly put together listing drinks without a description, price, or ingredients. I didn't even finish my meal and the manager lacked the leadership skills to even come over and speak to me after a verbal complaint was made. I will not go back and do not recommend to anyone. read more

They have a awesome ribeye steak. The seasoning is great. My wife always gets their chick fried chicken, which is as big as the plate. I love going to eat here. It is however a little pricey. The service has always been on the plus side. read more

Amazing steaks. Always return when visiting in Camden. Was busy but our waitress was attentive and took great care of us. Ribeye good as I have had at premium steak houses all over country. read more

We went to the sand bar with a group of 8. My husband and I ordered the "hand-breaded" chicken strips. Turns out, hand breaded is their term for frozen sysco strips. My son ordered chicken fried steak. It was $18- they really should offer a 1/2 order. Everything was pretty pricey for what we got. Also, we were seated beside a large table of obviously inebriated people who were literally yelping an screaming profanity the entire time we were there. They seemed to be familiar with the staff, and were never asked to have a little respect for the other patrons. We won't be back. read more

What a gem of a place. For me, it's all about the food, so I can easily let slide the fact that this happens to be a bar. When I was there, there were also a good number of families. They obviously cared more about food than the atmosphere. As for the food, everything I had was amazing. I hate to base something on a single visit, but it really was remarkable. The blue cheese dressing for my salad was like nothing else I've ever had. I couldn't get enough. I could go there and order a salad with that dressing and be very happy. That alone would separate this from the many restaurants I visit because of my travel schedule. Fresh baked bread comes with dinner as well, another outstanding feature. The grouper I ordered was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and it was as good as a piece of fish I've had in places near the sea and costing three times the price. Again, I only ate there once, but I look forward to having the chance to visit Camden again and eating at the Sand Bar. If you are really into food, this is one of the best places in Arkansas. read more

This place was just garbage. The bloomin onion was burnt, then took an hour and twenty min to make a quesadilla, and it was gross. So after we ate then I get the check and was just as disgusted with the check as I was with the meal and the service. If I could half star then I would. read more

I wish I could lift this place up and put it a little closer to home. As the previous review states, the food is outstanding. I had a chicken breast grilled to perfection with grilled veggies and a baked sweet potato. Only problem was that I could have eaten two more plates. I am hoping travel brings me back through Camden, so I can eat here again. read more

Went to the Sand Bar this weekend for the first time. It was loud and friendly and full of energy. Service was a little slow but worth the wait I think. I had the 16 oz rib eye with a baked potato. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rate and it was HUGE. Lots left over to take home. It was very warm the night we were there and the fans had a hard time keeping up with the heat but all in all it was not too bad. read more

For Camden it is Definitely a 5 star. Even though it is a sports bar the service was great & Pork Chop was excellent!

Best steak in the area! Highly recommend the Grilled Shrimp appetizer grilled and covered in the same garlic butter sauce with their steak rub for a shrimp scampi like flavor and then some! Maybe a tad pricey but its a definite your getting what your paying for. No corners cut here! read more

The Sand Bar can be a bit hit or miss. One visit the steak is excellent and the next time it's not remotely worth the price. Also, small items can be expensive. My wife was charged $6 for a tiny side salad. Overall, you take a chance here. Maybe it'll be good. read more

Great steaks, pork chop, chicken, and seafood. Prices are decent as well. No longer open on Saturdays though.

I agree with the review below. This place serves fantastic food. I live in Northern NJ but travel down to Camden a few times a year due to work. Quite simply, this place has the best steak I've ever had in my life. It beats out anything I've had in NYC and Newark's Ironbound, both of which have excellent steakhouses. If you are in the area, you simply must try this place out. My coworker claims they serve the best pork chops she's ever eaten, but I've never tried them, as I keep returning to the steak... Maybe I'll have to try those one day, but I know when that day comes I'll be sorely sad I didn't have a steak. read more

The steak was cooked perfect but it is heavy on the spice which makes it salty. It was a busy Friday night and took 45 min to get food after ordering. read more

Great place to eat. Excellent service, and they make one of the best steaks I've ever had.

I called to talk to the manager regarding the ticket and the fact my co worker was throwing up from his meal soon after he ate a couple of bites. When asked to speak to the manager the person on the phone wanted to know who I was and what I wanted, I then requested again for the manager, she finally handed the phone over to a Denise, I asked for her last name and she refused. I began to try and talk to her about the ticket, she begin to be hostile to me. I advised her that my co worker was throwing up, and then Denise started getting mad about food poisoning and I quote she said "google that shit" to find out about it. My co workers were over charged for drinks and the chicken was spoiled and spelled bad. I was hung up on 2 times and I requested to have the owners name and Denise told me that she "the owner" didn't want to deal with me either, and I could come and get $8.00 for the salad that was sent back due to the spoiled chicken on it. The price of the salad was $15.99. I have never had anyone in business treat me in this manner. I was calm and very collected and in turn was treat with rude and disrespectful attitude. I would like the owner's name and hopefully the owner is not the type of person that believes you treat customers. Never again! read more

Love the pork chop with the mushrooms as an appetizer. How do I get the record for the pork chop?
