The receptionist was wonderful and extremely friendly on the phone. When I arrived I was warmly greeted by the staff. The salon is beautiful and clean. My new stylist Jenny gave me an honest and accurate consultation. I felt very comfortable. I was about to cut over 5" off. I had a wonderful shampoo followed by a warm towel around my neck and scalp massage. I was in heaven!! My cut was quick and exactly what I wanted! Prices include a blow dry..something I don't normally treat myself to. Most places charge extra. I was so happy with the end result I started to cry. My hair was gorgeous. I felt beautiful!! A huge thank you to my new stylist Jenny and the staff at Avant Gard Salon. It was the best salon experience I have had in quite sometime!

Do not spend any time or money here. UPDATE: Owner called and refused to refund for services. She made excuses for the colorist and claimed I was told what to expect. I was not told I would walk out without a balayage and with red hair. I truly believe that if another method (foils, etc.) was the way to obtain my desired look, I should have been informed as I am not the hair expert. Very disappointing. SECOND UPDATE: Owner keeps updating his comments to my review and is now lying about what the stylist allegedly said. DO NOT VISIT AVANT GARDE. The photo of the end result that I posted says it all. No salon would take your money for an"balayage" and leave your hair like this. I was NEVER told I would have "red undertones" and when I was offered a glaze, I was not told I would have red hair unless I got a glaze. She used a new product on me that I had never tried before, it got me platinum in literally minutes without any burn or irritation, and we didn't even have to tone after (which I always have in the past)! Aside from Jasmine being super skilled at her blonde mastery, she is exceptionally personable, professional, time-efficient, and very reasonably priced!!! I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed, and they did a great job with that too. The prices were very fair, and the service was excellent overall. One tip: make sure to bring cash for tipping or have Venmo ready. I didn't have either at the time, so I had to step out to get cash, which was a little inconvenient. She was very accommodating with the time which I really appreciated (I have full time very demanding job and I am a grad student). Caromia gave me her professional advised on what I needed done and I was so happy to have listened. She did a keratin treatment which was phenomenal. All my co-workers commented on it the next day. I truly looked like a different person. On top of that, she provided snacks and cappuccino :) This was very nice of her since I went from work straight to her salon and the keratin treatment took about 3 hours. Also I was able to get a groupon for a discount on haircut and styling. If this salon was closer to my house I would go there frequently. I got my haircut and blow dry with styling done here. It was for a friend's wedding reception. This salon is super cute and girly. I liked the pink decorations everywhere. The building is big and has different businesses in every side and the salon itself is positioned towards the back side of the building. The hair wash area is upstairs and I really liked the leave in conditioner they used, the smell was phenomenal. The salon is nicely spacious and clean. The lady who did my hair was Dawn and she really took her time to make it perfect. Plus she put additional hair care products so my hair wouldn't frizz up in the hot weather. I got compliments on my hair that day as well for my haircut!

I had my appt. with Danita last week and she was amazing! She spent an hour with me just consulting and getting to know me and my hair. As she was working on my hair, she told me exactly what she was doing as she was doing it! There were no surprises and I was completely at ease and trusted her 100%! My hair is gorgeous!
