This salon is wonderful, and I cannot say enough good things about Nicholas. Two weeks before my wedding, the stylist at my previous salon dyed my hair VERY dark (this was an ongoing problem there). I was pretty disappointed, so I called Simply Aveda to ask if they had someone there who might be able to fix it and they set me up with an appointment with Nicholas. He made me feel welcome and comfortable right away. He is so nice and fun to chat with! But most importantly, he is very knowledgeable and highly skilled. He listened to my concerns, came up with a plan to remediate the horrible hair that I came in with, and by the end of the visit, I walked out with a big smile on my face, the color I was hoping to have at my wedding, and a gorgeous blow out. The salon staff is also really nice and helpful. I truly cannot say enough good things about this salon and Nicholas. I had a wonderful experience with Alesha, after going to the same person for 25 years for a hair foil up north, I finally gave in and tried someone down here. I brought in the Aveda formula I have used, and Also showed Alesha a picture. She not only did a beautiful job, but I actually like what she did better!! So disappointed! I asked for an experienced stylist, and I was a little hesitant when I was able to get in so quickly (one week). My gut feeling sadly was right. Even though this stylist said she has been doing hair for a long time and in this salon, I didn't get that impression. My highlights ended up being yellow and a toner was used which turned my whole head one color with these yellow highlights. Terrible! On top of that, my hair wasn't really washed or rinsed well. I had to ask to go back to the shampoo bowl because the back of my head had a lot of suds in it still. I hope this review helps the stylist who seems capable, but needs more training. read more
