WOW! Had my first visit today to help relieve some sciatic nerve pain and stress points. The environment is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. My masseuse was wonderful! She was very communicative worked on my problem issues and quickly was able to determine my tension spots and relieve the pressure. The ability to use her feet was amazing as the pressure was what I needed! Then she used hot rocks for a soothing massage. Overall a great experience and I will be back!! However, I have a lot of stress knots and I know Thai massages work well on stretching out your body to remove those pesty knots! Enter Sanctuary Holistic Therapy Thai Massage - they offer it all! The person that works the desk, who I think is the owner, was very thorough in explaining what they offer. They specialize in Thai massages, but they also offer deep tissue, swedish, and stone. It was perfect! I did a 90 minute session and I probably had 60% Thai with the other 40% being deep tissue and hot stone. Billy was my masseuse and he was very knowledgeable and careful not to stretch and pull me too far. Hey I'm old! I highly recommend Billy!! My husband and I came here for his birthday and got a couples massage. Both of us have pain in similar areas for different reasons and Tanya spent some time with us beforehand getting to know some of our injuries and issues. She and her daughter are certainly good at what they do, though it does come with some discomfort to work through those knots and muscular issues. I prefer to feel my massages deeply other than to just relax so this was a good place for that type of body work. You can always ask for a gentle relaxation massage if that's what you prefer. My back was stretched, walked on, worked at from many angles, hot stones and Thai massage oil were also a lovely addition to the experience. I wish I had gone for 90 minutes because I left wanting more in the neck and shoulders where most of my pain seems to be. However, my travel schedule is picking up and I guess it's time I share my inside info. I get massages weekly due to a herniated disc in my lower lumbar and my crazy travel/work schedule (lots of planes and driving). I can firmly say that Tanya is by far one of the best healers in the US. She has been my go-to massage healer/therapist for the last 2 years (basically since I found her place on yelp). Tanya find the root of the issues within your body and actually addresses them (vs massage the area a little and move on). By your 2-3 session she knows your body well enough to customize the massage to best bring benefit to your body. She delivers a plan for your body that best benefits long-term health (and-honestly- sanity). The massage I get is deep tissue and Tanya is on the bar most of the time really getting to the root of the issues. This is NOT a massage parlor (where there is rotating staff who all do the same generic thing to your body). This is a true HEALING session to promote better health. So waste your money elsewhere for temporary relief, or come and see Tanya for actual relief- your call. Trust me- I've traveled the US and tried massages everywhere. I've also tried about 80% of massage therapists in So Cal. Tanya is - hands down-the best and delivers results. Her daughter also works in the facility. I was nervous to work with her at first (as I was so used to Tanya)- but I came to find out that her massages are equally beneficial and tailored to you! Not gonna lie, a little of me wants to do a week with Tanya and a week with her daughter- that is how good her daughter is! That makes me excited as I have someone I can depend on in the future for massages. Prices are subject to change but are currently 90/1.5hrs and 59/1hr (69/1hr on deep tissue). I get the 1.5 hrs weekly due to my high stress levels and back issues. This is BEYOND reasonable. personally I think she is undercharging- but who am I to complain?!
