They have a very nice staff and a relaxing atmosphere, however, I went in to get a chemical peel and paid $100 to do so and my face after week has barely peeled at all. I have never had this happen before when this type deal and I'm quite disappointed considering the amount of money that I had spent. Sanctuary is a lovely little spa tucked away in Old Town just off of Mason. The best part about this place is Jewel - she is a massage therapist and the best in the business. If you are looking for someone who can find all the little sore spots on your body without you having to tell them exactly, Jewel is your woman. She has helped me get rid of migraines, chronic back pain, sports injuries, etc. She has magic fingers! I'm not a fan of fluffy massages and while I'm sure Jewel can offer that, she impressed me with her ability to repair my sore muscles. Like with all massages, be honest about how much pressure you want and don't be afraid to voice your opinions - she is super responsive. You won't regret it. read more

The deep tissue massage by Jasmine was by far THE best massage I have had in my entire life! She really listened to me when I described my problem areas and spent a lot of quality time tackling them. I feel like she has a natural gift with massage on top of her training/knowledge of muscular anatomy. 10/10 will be going back and I will be recommending her to all my friends and coworkers. I took a star off because my facial was not the full hour that I paid for (it was about 45 minutes) and because when I asked the front if I could have a spot test on my skin for the lash tint (I'm really allergic to regular hair dyes), I heard the esthetician in the back say, "but I have plans right now!". The gal in the front was very accommodating though and I heard her tell the esthetician that she would help clean her room if she would do the spot test for me (which literally took less than 30 seconds). read more

First time ever for a skin care treatment, now I wonder why I hadn't tried this before! Sonya greeted me and we went to a cozy & warm, dimly lit room, similar to a massage room. After discussing my skin care goals she explained as she went about all the steps of a diamond-tip Microdermabrasion and a facial. It was all totally painless, in fact, rather it was all pure relaxation! The bonus (to me) was the head, face, and shoulder massage included which was so excellent! I purchased a Brightening Facial through Living Social and went to see Ashley. She was absolutely wonderful! I've had many, many facials throughout my life, and I have to say that she was the most genuinely caring of my skin's needs. She really listened to what I had to say and looked and listened to my skin. The facial itself was so relaxing that I fell asleep, and my skin was glowing when I left (and it still looks and feels great)! This is also the first time I didn't break out after a facial. Whoa! This place is great. My sister treated me to a foot massage when I was 9 months pregnant at Sanctuary. It was AMAZING! Kingsya is a gifted massage therapist. Ashley is great!! I started coming to see her when my face had been acting up. I hadn't really dealt with a lot of breakouts and didn't know what to do - my solution was to try every product out there but I ended up making it worse. Ashley pared down my routine and really educated me on the ingredients of the products I was using. Since then, I've been coming to see her monthly-ish and I am SO happy with my skin. I just got home from getting a 90 minute massage from Marla. It was wonderful. I moved here from Berkeley, California one year ago. I am very familiar with good massages, but this one was excellent. Marla focused exactly on what I was coming in for. She trained in Miami and has been a massage therapist for a long time, before coming to Fort Collins, in February. Since most of the reviews on here seem to be about facials, I figured I'd leave a review about my massage. This was the first massage I've ever had and I was VERY nervous about it. But...it was GREAT. Kingsya (sp?) was my massage therapist and did a great job and making me feel comfortable, as I told him I was nervous. I did a series of microdermabrasions, and they were very relaxing and effective. Sanctuary is a nice, quiet, spa in a great location, and the folks who work there are very caring and professional. They did have a few issues with my scheduling, but the customer service was phenomenal, and they managed to fix the scheduling issues to meet my satisfaction. read more

I purchased a facial which included microdermabrasion and an ultrasound facial from Living Social (cost was $90, retail is $180), and I was very excited to try a new place. My esthetician was very nice and had Aveda training. We discussed my goals for the session, and the session began. One of my goals was to work on removing some of my blackheads, and she said she could not see any. Seriously? Perhaps it is poor lighting, because I have tons of them! I got home to find that my skin looked absolutely the same. All blackheads still intact. The texture doesn't even feel better. I have had this type of facial many times before and usually I can see clear results in my skin. I would have seen better results going to Target/ Sephora, picking up a masque, and doing it myself. What a waste of $90 (well over $100 with tip). Plus I had to pay for child care to go. Ugh, it makes me depressed to think about what I could have done with that money. Thank goodness I didn't pay the $180. A couple of hours later, I called the salon to tactfully share my feelings about this, and they were completely disinterested in making me a satisfied customer. They spoke of their protocol in doing these facials. Well, I am used to having facials/ services slightly adjusted, if need be, to fit my skin and my goals. Why even ask about my goals if you aren't going to do anything about them? I cannot believe in this economy that businesses are willing to let dissatisfied customers just walk away. If I were you, find a spa that wants you to be happy there's many wonderful choices in the area. read more
