I recycle very often (since I was 8) and I know that about each garbage bag fetches me about 4$. I was shorted more than a 1$ per bag. Each trip with the same amount of bags usually gives me minimum 25$. Of course, it's very easy to scam a younger looking girl so I'll give them that. The good and unique aspect here is that the owner replies through text in case you have any questions. I'll give you a star for that. To be honest, there are a lot of places who aren't very honest. If you are still deciding to pick this place or not, thinking about this kept me up at night since I'm still kinda mad about it. I have never felt so scammed before in my life lol I highly recommend sunset recycling. Bit of a drive but worth the extra couple of miles (dollar of gas from 25 mpg) to gain several more dollars. Despite that, the process of dropping off my bottles was insanely smooth. All I did was approach one of the workers for some assistance, and they directed me to one of the baskets. From there they helped me sort through the different plastics I had. They weighed it, gave me a receipt, and I turned it in to the front booth for my cash. The process took around 10-15 minutes. Staff was super chill and they were even patiently assisting someone else on the side who accidentally turned in something they shouldn't have. Being immediately helped, short and smooth process, and additional help with sorting my recycling? Now that's the kind of recycling center I would come back to.

Came in on a Saturday late morning. It was my first time recycling a LOT of stuff (maybe a few…read moremonths' worth). I already pre-sorted the basics, but wasn't aware of some of the other stuff that needed to be taken out. Luckily, the 2 guys there were SUPER patient in explaining to me the differences of materials, how we're sorting it, and what they offer for each. My only gripe is that if you have a large haul and need to park near the sorting area, good luck. The entrance sort of shares the same one with the next door gas station, so it can get clogged if a person is parked. Otherwise, if no one's around, you're good. There is parking in the back if needed

We've only brought in our plastic, but it's been quick and easy and cash paid immediately. Decent payout too. Make sure you park in a real spot, don't be that guy who parks where it says "no parking". Open weekends, rarely super crowded too. Great job!
