This review is a long time coming. We just took delivery of a new Speed Queen washer from a dealer in the Reading area. Their professionalism was outstanding, far from what we experienced 2 years ago when we bought our dryer and had our washer connected after moving to the Royersford area. All we heard was complaints from the delivery personnel and asking them to simply place a pan under the washer was something they could not do. We also had an installation issue with the washer requiring a repair and this was beyond the scope of work this store provides. We will continue doing business with the store in Reading in the future. read more

She was busy when I first visited but was quite competent, proactive and customer focused throughout the entire process. I was pleasantly surprised. I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator, range and microwave at Sanatoga Appliances in Pottstown, Pa. Two weeks later the refrigerator stopped working, so I put a call in to them and they gave the number to the corporation and they set me up with someone in my area to come and take a look at the frig on December 16th. That is not right, my refrigerator broke and spoiled my food, that's why we went and bought another one! To have the new one stop working 2 weeks after my purchase more food got ruined. I am very disappointed with this business. Instead of going to a big box store, I thought giving the local family run business would be best. I purchased a Maytag washing machine in Oct, 2021 and throughout the year, has malfunctioned. The repair man has been at my home on 3 occasions and the problem still persists. Now Saratoga Corp. will not return my phone calls in trying to find what the next step is. I've called on three occasions and was promised it would be looked into. There has not been any return calls to me or my wife. I get that there may be a defect with this machine, but to be treated like this by the vendor is unacceptable. Buyers beware!!! I like to shop local to support local business and went in today to ask about a new washer and dryer. I was passed from salesman to salesman who treated me like I was some stupid woman. I asked if they had any Labor Day sales and they said no and after asking about pricing on a few models they told me they were on sale..what?!? didn't I just ask you this. If you don't mind paying full price for damaged appliances with rude delivery guys that tear up your floor this is your place. Oh and to top it off you get to speak to a rude owner who comes into your home immediately pointing out that my floor already had scratches. True, but it didn't have tears so big that I can see my floor boards. And with all of this, I never even heard an apology. He told me he wasn't going to apologize until he did a thorough investigation and assessed the situation. And please note this was after I spent $6,500.00 on these damaged appliances....no special pricing and I spent $500 for installation that was a nightmare. He then had the nerve to tell me how great he has handled all of this. He's going to order me a new door and he'll have GE come out under warranty. I always liked the idea of buying from a local small business but when you have an owner that treats customers this way I'll stick to the big box stores for these type of purchases. read more

Purchased a new microwave; expecting it would be delivered and installed in about a week. It's an over the range model. Lou the salesman at the Sanatoga Corp.; said he would try to have someone at my place by Friday or Saturday. Having dealt with customer service at various places; I wasn't about to hold my breath. Well; my microwave was delivered and installed on Friday; 2/28/2020. Couldn't believe it. I would Highly Recommend dealing with the Sanatoga Corp.; whether you're buying anything from a coffee maker to a Refrigerator. Worst service I have ever received anywhere. Were very happy to sell me the expensive stove. Promised delivery date and time. Never came. I called repeatedly. Still nothing and no explanation. I live 2 minutes away in Sanatoga. They then called when it was too late to deliver to tell me it wasn't coming because "the guy who picks them out of the building to put on the truck isn't in today." Really? It took you a whole day (that I missed work) to figure that out. The told me that it would arrive the next morning. It didn't with no explanation. We were previously clients here, but not anymore. After spending three days researching a product we were going to buy from them, I went with my 1 yr old to purchase it. However upon arrival I was greeted by an already on edge salesman "here to browse again?" he asked. Obviously they work on commission and were annoyed that I wanted to research before my purchase. I told him I was there cash in hand to purchase. He than made me wait 5 minutes while he called "an important client." Than he asked me to show him which model I had picked. Upon arriving at the model I noticed it had two stickers on it. What we had spent three days thinking was $778 was actually $999. He says see the model number that is obviously wrong. I guess we are supposed to know that. He then goes on to say some kid must of changed that while looking at my son. Yes I am sure my 1 yr old, 32" son switched your price stickers. Not to mention he didn't leave my arms. I explained the price change definitely changes things as I no longer thought that was a deal. I explained my husband was at work and couldn't answer the phone so I needed to have him either okay this or come back. He said yes I should have my husband come by and take care of it later. I also need to mention that two days previous while I was there browsing I explained to the man that I needed to have my husband agree with the product I wanted. His response was "yes he earns the money so he should have the final say." Not only did you waste 3 days of my time and research, but you belittled me, tried to over charge me, and accused my 1 yr old of switching price tags. To bad they work on commission, because I took my money to Home Depot! There I was helped by a non pushy women associate who was very helpful and I got a better product and price. I like to shop local small businesses but not when some old man thinks my husband should be making the decisions. read more
