The store was about to close on our first visit, but Ben stayed later to help get us started on selecting furniture sample swatches and point us in the right direction when needed ! In addition, after we moved into our btw home, we needed Ben's help again, and he when above and beyond yo try to remedy our problem We realized after our move, that our cherry curio cabinet was missing the 4 shelves that went with it We called upon Ben once again, and he researched and spoke with the company that manufactured the curio cabinet to see if we could just purchase the four shelves! Unfortunately, they couldn't just sell us four shelves, but we would have had to buy a whole new cabinet from the company (which we were not going to do)! While looking at a clearance piece, we asked the manager if there was any flexibility on the price. After being told it was the best offer, we showed him the exact same item available online for $200 less. Instead of looking into it or offering basic customer service, the manager rudely told us "good luck buying it online" and refused to assist us further--leaving even his own sales associate visibly uncomfortable. We immediately took our business elsewhere and had a fantastic experience at Bob's Discount Furniture, where the entire team was helpful from start to finish. We ended up buying a pull-out couch and an additional new sofa with them instead. Save yourself the headache and shop where your business is respected. Thank you, Anna, for your response. However, it seems you are defending a family member (brother or cousin?), and as I read your reply, I notice the same disrespectful attitude that we experienced from your manager (also a family member?). Every ReStore will be a little different as its inventory is dependent upon its community donations, but the general store model is to have dedicated ongoing Home Depot clearance section for a good portion of the store. The Phoenixville store, like others, will be hit or miss on what you need. Yesterday I needed prehung exterior doors. Called ahead and they claimed to have some, but they had zero. I took a pretty thorough look around and posted a lot of photos. I bought some small items for an art project but otherwise it was wasted gas based on them claiming they had what they didn't have. Good cause, and if you are remodeling one room, or trying to fix or replace something in your home, you will probably have good luck here (or at another nearby location), but if you own a rental property, have new construction, are doing a major reno, etc. and need bulk stuff, you will be out of luck. Flooring and tile are in "leftovers" batches of one or two rooms worth, if that. If you check these stores' social media, you will see new arrivals if a supplier donated a larger quantity, but if you have a time limit on your job, you can't rely on them to have something in stock as you need it. I couldn't even get a door, which they claimed to have, so take phone calls with a grain of salt. Prices are okay, not amazing. The 5-gallon paint at this store is $75, while same stuff at the West Norriton store is $90, so watch out among stores.
