Great facility. Great folks work there. But I don't recommend their Accupuncture. The Accupuncturist talked about her vacation dreams the whole time. Lost needles on me. Left me in the room cold. No buzzer to call attendant. And do not try to buy a drink at their coffee shop without an account with them because it will take forever for them to set up the sale and get your life history just so you can drink your coffee. Like I said, great facility, great people working there. But this was my time to relax. Not talk. The operating system of this business seems onerous on the customer, in my experience. I have been dealing with multiple health problems, brain fog from Long Covid, a severe pain in my hip so my Physical Therapist told me I need to try accupuncture. I made an appointment with Carissa. After my first treatment and consult I woke up the next day and felt less brain fog and colors seemed brighter plus a little less pain in my hip. I made an additional 4 appointments for my hip pain and after 2 more I had no pain and even walked uphill 150 yards and down again, still no pain. I continue with PT but my biggest relief is from Carissa and her little needles. When this series is over I am buying another because I have had pain for 9 months and now I am starting to feel like myself again. I highly recommend Carissa and her little needles. Extremely friendly team! What a warm welcome and pristine spa. My daughter and I grabbed a morning yoga class and each a massage. The yoga instructor was just a pocketful of sunshine. You could tell he had a wonderful zest for life. We both gave each other the look of complete bliss after our massage. They offered a tea with an extensive menu selection. I must have been there on an off day . My therapist was about 15 minutes late getting me started, and so the receptionist said I would be charged accordingly. The massage therapist asked me what my issues were and I told her the two specific areas that were bothering me. I had scheduled a therapeutic massage. She proceeded to give me what I would call a relaxation massage, and even commented that she wanted me to leave the spa feeling stress free. Several hints for more pressure were ignored. She asked me the same questions several times. She would start a sentence and then just kind of fade away and not finish the sentence. Also she told me to remove my top and then stayed in the room with me which was uncomfortable and a little awkward. When my non-therapeutic massage was over she asked me if I would like anything to drink and I said water. I got dressed, I walked out to the front desk and she was standing there - waterless! I felt like the whole experience had been so strange I needed to send an email to the spa. I never heard back from anyone. read more

My husband and I were scheduled to be town and decided to make an appointment for facials for his birthday. We both had a golden milk, which was awesome. The esthetician was awesome, and my husband really enjoyed his facial. I enjoyed mine as well, but I would have enjoyed it quite a bit more if the bed had been a bit more prenatal friendly. I'm 8 months pregnant and highly encouraged to stay off my back, but that appeared to be the only option. I figured that the heat from the bed would assist with any potential back discomfort, but the bed was hard as well. I had to readjust quite a few times to find a comfortable position. There was nothing really the esthetician could have done, but it was part of my overall experience that led to taking off one star. read more

What a difference a year makes. This is a beautiful spa, no doubts about it. A great vibe when you walk in. So the energy must have been off today, but it was a gift that kept giving. We arrived a few minutes before our appointment for a couples massage. They offered us tea, water, etc.. It was fine. Then time went by, no other comments. The manager picked up the phone to answer a call, and we hear "yes, they're here", along with some other conversation. Then I ask if anything is wrong, and "no, she's just running a little late. She'll be here soon". Okay. Why did I have to ask, when it was almost 10 after the hour, and the person who was late was calling in? The other massage therapist then walks out and asks about her partner, and was told that she "was probably in the parking lot now". Not quite, but it wasn't much longer. The therapist came in, but no hello, no "I'm sorry", she just walked by to get ready. It was odd how it was handled, not horrible. We talk things over with the therapists, and apparently my partner's therapist was not terribly open to input on where to focus, and discounted my partner's comments. Okay. My massage went fine. I had the therapist that was late. I left the situation alone, hoping her own energy would relax, and it seemed to,so no other issues there. After the massage, 50 minutes, they say take your time to get up, which is normal. So we lay there a minute, relaxed, then start to get dressed. A knock on the door. "Is everything okay?". "Yes, we're fine". It's winter, so there are a few more clothes. Knock again, "We need to get the room ready for the next clients.". Uh, we weren't the ones who were late, and now we can't get dressed fast enough, because they're up against the next hour? The one late person, at a spa, threw off the balance. I think addressing it directly, up front, would have been far better. But it went unspoken, and no attempt to see if we had an issue with it. Then it was compounded by the next appointment, and the resulting stress was fed on to us. The experience was not the spa experience you look for. read more

Went in yesterday for an eyelash tint and brow wax. I've gone strictly to Benefit Brow Bars for the past 6 years but living in marble falls now I wanted to try some place close. I'd left my eyebrows be for about 3 months so that I could get them shaped well and the technician could have a blank slate. I should have known it wasn't going to go well when she had me lay on the table and dove into waxing my eyebrows while looking at me upside down. Check out the pictures to see what an eyebrow wax looks like when done that way. Next came the eyelash tint. Wait, she isn't going to show me my brows before she starts? Nope. She asks if I want them done as dark as she can. Yes please, I've had them done many times and that's what I always get. She starts after them, I lie waiting while it tints. Eyelash tint is all around my eyes, she holds up a mirror so I can swab some of it off my face. Eyes are watery from the tinting, not abnormal. I ask if this is the darkest she can do, well no, but we can do darker next time!.... Then I get to see my brows, aghast I get up and go to the front to pay. I really couldn't believe it, I convinced myself it had to look better than what I was making it out to be. No, my right eyebrow is pretty much gone at the end. Left one isn't terrible, I mean there's no shape but at least she left me with some hair. Go to a benefit brow bar to get your eyebrows done, it isn't worth risking. Let me be the lesson you don't have to go through yourself. read more

I had a spur of the moment massage at Sana Vida. My therapist, Tricia, was amazing.Tricia was with an elderly patient before me and was running a little bit behind. The spa called me to let me know well in advance so that I could adjust my arrival time and not have to wait as long. I have had many massages in my day and I can tell you this was one of the better ones I have had. I asked that they incorporate some lomilomi techniques into the massage. Now, lomilomi is not that common but Tricia did a great job of using some of it. The staff was courteous and the cold tea after my massage was a nice touch. My husband and I had massages, facials and tea at this spa. I would give the tea and facial experience five stars. However, I asked if deep tissue massages were available when I booked and the lady said to notify the masseuse of the pressure request. Both my husband and I did just that. We even noted specific areas that were problematic and those areas were not given special attention. She asked what experiences we disliked at other location and I specifically stated I hated feeling liked I was just getting a rub-down but that's exactly what she did. I felt humiliated that she asked me to "spread my legs" during the massage and complimented my dimples when she was rubbing down my behind. The lady providing the facials gave us both a better shoulder massage than the masseuse. My husband and I agree that the lady performing the facials was knowledgable and provided a comfortable and refreshing environment. Tiffany serving the tea went above and beyond trying to find open restaurants on Christmas and had our tea waiting when we were finished. read more

I got an Anti-Aging Facial from Tina yesterday, and wow! The treatment was very relaxing, and my skin was rosy and glowing afterwards. I don't often get facials, so this was a real treat. The various products she used smelled and felt wonderful. My friends and I came here for massages while on a girls trip at Horseshoe Bay Resort. We chose to drive here because their prices were much better than the resort spa, and the pictures online looked really nice. We were not disappointed! The staff was very friendly and we were quickly brought in the individual rooms for our massages, which were HEAVENLY. One of my friends and I are expecting, so we opted for the prenatal massage while our other 2 friends chose the signature massage. Both were fantastic, and we were all offered a yummy hibiscus tea right after. I would definitely recommend Sana Vida! read more
