This is a real true review (I know how we all wonder) of today's root canal at San Ramon Endodontics with Dr. Saoji. Let me start by saying the appointment was for my 30 yo son who suffers & has been diagnosed with severe anxiety. The only dental services he has received during adulthood have been under IV sedation (sound asleep!) besides having one cleaning!! Dr. Saoji was so awesome that I could hear my son say "oh, that's it for the shots, wow, that wasn't bad at all!". I could hear Dr. Saoji asking him how he was doing during the procedure, he kept checking, making sure he was comfortable. I have to admit I was worried that my son might change his mind, as when he was younger & even using nitrous oxide, when the dentist brought out the needle he said no way & that was the end of any professional dental care for years. The next thing I heard was my son say "ok, that's it? I'm all done? I can get up? I can't believe I was so worried all this time, stressing myself out over something that wasn't bad at all!" You may be thinking to receive top of the line skills like Dr. Saoji has you would pay for more, truthfully was actually less then expected!! Paid money for a CT scan that no endodontist could make sense of. On top of that, the receptionist took a month (a whole month!) to get back to me about apicoectomy details and costs and I had to phone them twice, with them telling me the first time that I should wait for them to call. All for a treatment that I was told is "very time-sensitive". Ended up going elsewhere for the treatment instead, just disappointed I had to waste money on an awful scan no one could properly read. read more

I went to see Dr. Saoji after I saw a growth of some sort on my upper gums. He diagnosed an infection and started the first of two parts of the root canal procedure. The first visit was pleasant, relatively pain free and successful. He told me to return in 7 days for part two. That was today. Dr. Saoji completed the root canal in an hour and there were two teeth that needed it! I was happy that it didn't take up my entire afternoon. I left his office out of pain and happy that the procedure itself was painless. Thank you Dr. Saoji and staff for getting me out of pain and for working so gently on my teeth. I was very nervous and had bad anxiety about it Dr Soju, and dental assistant Sandra I believe her name was we're super sweet and made me feel very comfortable about getting the root canal Dr did an amazing job he made sure throughout the procedure that I had no pain. On Monday I cracked my tooth while eating a tortilla chip. Saw my regular dentist on Tuesday and they referred me to San Ramon Endodontics. I went to see Dr. Saoji on Thursday morning for a consultation. Much to my surprise, Dr. Saoji mentioned he can do the root canal that day. I'm very anxious when seeing a dentist, but he and his staff assured me I was in good hands. I appreciate the fact that during the procedure the Dr. and his assistant constantly asked me if I was ok. Dr Nachiket Saoji, DDS, MS of San Ramon Endodontics is fantastic! First of all, his office was able to schedule a same-day appointment when my dentist called in with my dental emergency. Dr.Saoji was kind, thorough in his explanation, skilled in his technique, and concerned during the whole procedure with my comfort. I saw him twice; once to clear an infection that I had in the tooth root, followed by a root canal a couple of weeks later. Both experiences were painless, efficient, and professional. I've had several root canals, and I've never had an endodontist schedule a follow up to make sure that the bone was healing properly. But he did. I will be back to see him in six months for this follow-up appointment, and I'm certain my experience will be as pleasant as the prior two. Worst experience ever. I was referred here by Bright now dental to get a root canal. I went on March 4. They told me insurance covered everything except for $335. Which I paid out of pocket with my CareCredit. They sent me a bill for $658 which I called her six times and spoke to somebody named Rosemary who told me she was going to fix it. They ended up sending me to collections and now today August 8 I received another bill for $52. Why are you charging me for something that happened in March which was paid in full. They will not answer the phone and get they want to ruin my credit for something that was paid in full over five months ago. Please don't go here read more

Most people going to see a doctor will have some type of fear or anxiety attached to their visit. This is mainly for two reasons. 1. They are worried about their health. 2. They are worried that the doctor may not know enough, care enough, or have enough facilities/abilities to fix them. After a single visit with Dr. Saoji, Stacy, and the rest of his staff, you will find that the latter is not an issue. Dr Saoji/Stacy/Staff: caring, compassionate, intelligent, helpful Facility: clean, welcoming, updated, drinks, internet, amenities, etc.. Equipment: panoramic X-ray: a single 3D X-ray that shows all teeth, roots, gums, + sinus cavity, a digital HD camera so you can see his work, and he even keeps a redundant server for file security amongst other things. I want to thank Dr. Saoji, his assistant and Stacy at the front desk. I went to Dr. Saoji after my dentist told me that I needed an urgent root canal done on a wisdom tooth. I don't have a molar in front of that wisdom tooth so I really needed this tooth to be saved! At my first visit an X-ray was taken and shortly after Dr. Saoji came to talk to me about what the process would be and was confident that he could help a save my tooth. I just left his office and he and his assistant made me feel real comfortable and asked me how I was feeling through the entire process. I was so so nervous but I knew that I was in great hands. He saved my tooth! And I got through it. He took one last X-ray after he completed the root canal and went over after care and what to expect. I don't typically write reviews but my experience today definitely warrants one. I am 34 weeks pregnant and needed an emergency root canal. They fit me in same day and took every precautionary step to ensure that both baby and I were safe. The facility was clean, calming and welcoming. They even provide water, honest kids juice boxes and coffee. They gave the cost breakdown before we started so that I was informed and could make a decision on whether or not to move forward. My insurance covered everything but they still made sure I had the information. After the procedure was done, Dr. Saoji looked at the X-ray and decided he wanted to redo the last part just to make sure it was precise and comfortable. In addition to this, he gave me his cell phone number in case I still had pain so that I could get it taken care of right away if needed. The support staff stayed beyond their day to allow my appointment to happen. I cant even imagine one more night of the pain I was in and thanks to this office, I didn't have to. I am beyond grateful for the treatment I received today. I would highly recommend this place if you ever find yourself in need of an endodontist (fingers crossed you do not need this service). read more

I've never had a cavity or any dental work besides braces and getting my wisdom teeth out, until this month. Dr. Saoji was thorough and kind. He made sure that I understood what caused the nerve craziness in my tooth, explained the root canal procedure, and answered all of my questions. The staff was kind and encouraging. I was able to watch the whole procedure through the doctor's microscope on a television. Though it felt like an out of body experience, it reassured me that each process was completed correctly. After my root canal, I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Saoji did not hesitate to call in antibiotics and make sure I was comfortable. I truly felt that my best interests were kept in mind. My dentist was extremely impressed with how the root canal was completed when my permanent crown was done. I feel like that says a lot. I highly recommend Dr. Saoji and his team! read more

I went in to this office for a consultation to see if I needed to fix a root canal. When I met Dr. Saoji, his reaction to my situation was not welcoming at all. When he told me what needed to be done procedure wise, there was nothing reassuring for me with what he told me. I already had bad anxiety going into the appointment and his attitude made me feel much worse. There was nothing professional about it and I left feeling defeated. Dr saoji and Dr Priyanka are two of the kindest most honest dentists you will find. I was extremely scared and they made sure I was comfortable and after the procedure was almost pain free. He saw something that worried him about my wisdom teeth and right away started making calls to find oral surgeons who could see me right away. He even messaged to check up on me after my wisdom teeth were extracted and said please to keep him updated on my recovery. Most endodontist would stop caring once your root canal was done. It seems odd reviewing a root canal, but lucky me here we are. I had pain in my jaw for several weeks so my regular dentist referred me to San Ramon Endodontics. I knew I might be looking at a root canal and never having one before I was not excited. The office is very nice and welcoming and the woman at the front desk is really, really nice. I got taken back and saw Dr Saoji and I cannot day enough positive things about him. He did a few tests to determine if I actually needed one (which I did), he took the time to show me exactly what he would do, showed me on my x-ray what he saw that needed to be fixed and asked several times if I had any questions. Then away we went. Honestly, I had ZERO pain during this entire procedure. Even the shot didn't hurt. The whole thing took less than an hour; 2 sets of x-rays, exam, root canal and filling. After it was over he took new x-rays and showed me exactly what he did. If you have to get a root canal, I highly recommend Dr Saoji. read more

I had the best experience here with Dr. Nachiket, Dr. Priyanka, and Liz. The staff here are very warm, very caring, and take their time with you. I was in and out of a very well done root canal that took less than an hour and never did I once feel rushed. They gave me the mouth guard so that I wouldn't have to struggle to keep my mouth open, they gave me a mask that surrounded the tooth they were working on which made it effortless to keep my numb tongue out of the way, and they frequently checked to see if I was okay. This place is hands down the very best experience I have had. The front desk was very personable and accommodating. I enjoyed my time at this office very much. Even the seats in the waiting room were comfortable! Walking into this office felt like a truly upscale and professional office, and the level of customer service solidified that initial impression. If you have to complete a dreaded root canal treatment, please do not hesitate to come to this office for that treatment. Just like the others who have reviewed this office, I too was surprised how quickly, painless, and efficient this procedure could be when completed by a highly skilled and trained professional. I normally do not recommend doctors or medical professionals to others because I am not confident enough in their skills and training of front desk staff to be respectful and polite to the people I refer; however, this is definitely not the case with this office. I had horrible tooth pain and went to Prosmile dentistry on Saturday to find out I needed a root canal. Of course most places are closed on Saturday. Prosmile contacted Dr. Saoji who came in on his Saturday to preform a root canal with out charging me an emergency fee. I was so happy because I was in so much pain. Got to the office and it was very nice inside. He checked my tooth and ran test just to verify the tooth actually needed the root canal which it did. He explained everything before he started. He has a microscope which is hooked to a tv so I can watch what he does while he works on my tooth. I think that's pretty awesome. He was quick and continued to explain everything while he worked. I would highly recommend him to anyone need Endodontics work. read more

I hate the thought of going to a dentist. I have had some really bad experiences in the past and to find out I need a root canal on two diff sides of my mouth I was terrified. I was referred to Dr. Saoji for my root canal. Went for my first consultation with him and was very impressed by the service provided by his front desk staff and his assistant. He was so wonderful. Very patient with all my questions and took his time to listen and made me feel comfortable. Few weeks later I went back for my root canal and it went so well that after it was done I had to ask twice to make sure it was over...I had my filling done elsewhere previously and that was way more painful than my root canal. I have severe TMJ so any small dental work feels like a major procedure to me. But my root canal experience was so wonderful. He kept on checking with me throughout the whole procedure to make sure I was okay. He is not only a top notch dentist but also a very kind human being. Will never use this place again. I was referred to Dr. Saoji by my dentist for a root canal. I arrived in 15 minutes before my appointment, assuming it's a first time visit and will have to fill some papers. I had to wait for more than an hour after my appointment time. And it seemed like it was normal for this office. After the work was done I got a bill and gave them my credit card which was charged. I thought that they contacted my insurance, figured out the coverage and gave me the final payment. But it wasn't like this. Six months later after the visit I'm receiving a bill for additional $211.00. At that time, six months after the procedure, I still was feeling the pain in this tooth every time when I bite on that side. I wanted to stop by at the office to check with the doctor why I'm still feeling the pain and why I have to pay more money. Unfortunately I was infected with the Covid-19 virus. While fighting the virus I obviously wasn't thinking about my tooth and some not significant bill. Thanks god I survived the infection and now returned to my usual routine. I went through the outstanding papers, found the bill and called the doctor's office to make a payment. A receptionist told that my bill was turned to a collection agency. I had plenty of root canals in my life, but never had even one when 11 month later I'm still feeling the light pain in this tooth when applying a pressure on it. I will definitely avoid this place in future. First reason is how the work was done, and mainly how inconsiderate it was during this hard time some $200 bucks bill was turned to collection. read more
