Today, was my first appointment. The front desk staff was courteous and all seemed fine. The assistant called me and brought me to the chair. She told me that they were going to take some X-rays. I asked if my recent x-rays at my previous dentist office could be used and I was essentially dismissed. Then, when she administered the x-ray, part of the insert in my mouth detached inside my mouth and made my choke a little. After that, another X-ray was taken. After it was taken, the assistant stood in front of me and appeared to intentionally wait to cause more discomfort. When I pushed it out of my mouth, the assistant then jammed the insert forcefully into my mouth. At that point, I got up and left. My worst experience at a dentist. read more

Estudillo family dental, a dental practice owned by this Dr. Sudha Chinta of Danville endodontists, tried to up charge me more than $1000 extra for $800 of dental work. I tried to raise this concern directly with Estudillo but they insisted the amount was correct. It took several calls with my dental insurance to get the proof I needed, and I still had to file a claim with my insurance and have them call Estudillo family dental with me on the phone to confront them before Estudillo would reduce the bill to the proper amount. Then, when giving me a filling for two cavities, they drilled so poorly that it resulted in me having to get root canals on both of these teeth. When I went to the endodontist they referred me to, Dr. Sudha Chinta at Danville Endodontics, she delayed scheduling me for two weeks after the consultation (when she knew I was trying to schedule the appointment before leaving the country for an extend trip) before sending me a letter saying that she would not see me due to a "breakdown in our doctor-patient relationship" with no further explanation. When I asked her reception share what this was referring to, she ignored me and did not offer any response at all. It was at this point after looking into Dr. Chinta more carefully that I discovered she owned Estudillo Family Dental and likely dropped me as a client because I mentioned that this office had tried to charge a extra 1k for the dental work. I had mentioned this before she did the consultation and X-rays, yet she still conducted the exam so she could charge me $400 for the X-rays and consultation even though she clearly had no intention of performing the procedure. I had to then find another endodontist to perform the root canals in the week I had left before leaving town. I'm so glad I found Dr. Tran at Endcare - what a world of difference in the quality of care he provided. He told me the 360 X-rays she took, which I had to travel an hour to pick up from Dr. Chinta's office, we're fuzzy and unusable (tho he was kind enough to take new ones at no charge). Dr. Chinta also tried to convince me to do the root canal with full anesthesia, which would have cost 2-3k extra, but Dr. Tran was able to perform the root canal with simple lidocaine and nitrous. I would highly advise anyone to avoid seeing Dr. Chinta at Danville Endodontist or going to Estudillo Family Dental in San Leandro. read more

Dr. Chinta is amazing. Period. I had a cracked tooth for a few months, and it became very painful. I finally decided to do something about it so I googled around my area and found Dr. Chinta. So glad I did. They had me in the next morning, and I was shown my xrays and where the issue was - root canal time! Oh boy. I felt NOTHING. When the good Doctor pinned me for the numbing medication, there was a slight sting but that was it. She started the root canal soon after and I felt nothing. Then, she added a post and filling - I think I was in the chair for like 35 minutes. My tooth instantly felt better; Dr. Chinta is amazing and I will be returning. For those complaining about the cost, look up your insurance and get an idea. They are not setting the pricing or ripping anyone off. It costs to have good work done, and you will not regret it going to Doctor Chinta. The office was very clean and neat, and the receptionist was very knowledgable and personable. AVOID AVOID AVOID. My experience with this office was TERRIBLE. I should have known that when I went in for a wisdom teeth removal consultation and they said they could perform it that day and didn't put me under for the surgery that something was wrong. Then it only got worse. I had an infection and puss was coming out of my wisdom tooth socket and I had a video of it that I brought into Dr. Chinta to look at. She said she didn't see anything wrong and was extremely rude to me in the appointment when there was clearly something wrong. There was literally puss and blood coming out of my socket. I ended up having to see another Dr and have them clean out the socket in order for it to heal properly. One of my worst medical experiences to this day. I will never go back and I do not recommend this to anyone. read more

I was referred to Dr. Sucha Chinta by my dentist. I've heard horror stories about root canals but her 20+ years of experience has made this process very smooth and quick. Oh my goodness, where do I start. I have no fear of dentist but with these folks, you are definitely in great hands. I had a tooth extracted, which was badly infected, and there was no pain afterwards and did not use pain killers. The post care instructions were easy to follow and not complicated at all. During the process, explanations took place as to what is going on and why without even having to ask. I went back a week later to ensure healing was taken place as these folks really care about their patients. This is not the first time I have gone to this practice and it is definitely not the last time. It does not get better than this, if you need a oral surgeon in any way, here is the place to go. First of all, if you need to make a visit here you're having some serious problems your dentist can't help you with. That was the case for me - an infected filling gone awry turned into an emergency root canal. If this ever happens to you, time is of the essence!! Luckily for me, Avalon Dental picked up the phone to make the referral to Dr. Sudha Chinta at Danville Endo. Within 15 minutes I was sitting in her chair and getting X-Rays. I won't lie and tell you a root canal is fun or easy. But if I ever need another one, this is where I want to go. Dr. Chinta is a pro, she's thoughtful and made this whole procedure as pleasant as possible. After a valium, some numbing gel and a gas mask I was pretty much OK with everything they needed to do. Their office is modern, and their patient chairs are very comfy. Plus, they're in a nice little shopping area - so your driver has somewhere to go other than the waiting room. I hope to never set foot in their office again, but would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone that needs the the "big-guns" of the dental world. read more

I am scared to death of dentists. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm definitely a 10. I've had tooth pain for almost 2 months and found out I needed a root canal. I panicked because my regular dentist couldn't do the procedure, he said it was too complicatd. the endo he referred me to didn't have an appt for 3 weeks. So I did a Google search and found Danville Endo. Dr Chinta fit me on the SAME day for a consultation, and did the procedure the very next day! Her staff is awesome and gave me the proper meds for "sleep" dentistry. I was able to wear my headphones and a blanket and was super comfy. I don't remember a thing. I have to be honest, I never review places but I am just shocked with what I just experienced. After having to reschedule a few times I finally made it into my appointment, having to take time off of a new job, here is my experience from start to finish. I walk in and there is no receptionist at the front after maybe 5-10 minutes someone comes to the front, after being in the room I don't get acknowledged for a large amount of time and then someone who had to have been new didn't know how to take my x-rays and I probably had close to 20 taken which seems incredibly excessive, I only recall getting maybe six tops at previous dental offices. After the pain of having x-rays done by someone who didn't know how to do it, I see the doctor for maybe one minute, she didn't talk at all about my x-rays even though I told her I had a bit of pain not long ago. She then told me she would talk to her hygienist about cleaning my teeth which is what I made the appointment for in the first place. After waiting and waiting and waiting some more the receptionist runs in the room and says sorry I don't want make you wait any longer she's stuck in a surgery. So literally one and a half hours and I don't even get done what I made the appointment for in the first place. I have never experienced this at any dentist office I've ever been to! I am just shocked and incredibly disappointed. By the way, I did transfer all X-rays to your office. read more

I have had such bad experiences with dentists and their offices were so nice and professional that it hardly felt like I was at the dentist (and that was after a root canal and a gum cleaning). I use to avoid the dentist at all cost. Everytime I went into the dentist, all they wanted to do was drill and fill. I recently had an extraction here. I have to say the staff and Dr. Osmolinski were so kind and efficient. I am pregnant with my first child and I was so nervous for this procedure especially that it was an extraction! The staff understood my worries and handled me with extra care! I am reviewing for my S.O. He is a TOTAL dentophobe. After years of suffering, I called 1-800-dentist and explained the situation...he jumps a mile if a dentist tries to look in his mouth..after years of childhood nightmare dental experiences. The situation became dire when he got an abscess and infection....thank God we found Dr. Chinta! Unfortunately he had to have his remaining teeth removed. Dr.Chinta understood the issues and had anesthesiologist on hand.. I'm so thankful for her. He's now working with temporary dentures and seeing Dr. Chinta every week getting adjustments till the fit is right. I must say I can't believe those other horrible revues.....these people sound like they have some other issues in their life that have nothing to do with this doctor. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK. PLEASE SEE THE YELP REVIEWS UNDER DR. SUDAH CHINTA RATHER THAN DANVILLE ENDODONTICS BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. As with other one star reviewers I believe Dr. Chinta is money hungry and has no scruples. I went in for a root canal. My insurance provider told me the negotiated cost was $1000 of which I would be responsible for 40% or $400. Dr. Chinta did not complete the root canal, accessing only 2 of the 3 roots and charged me an extra $525 for rinsing the cleaned out roots. Rinsing the canals is normally included in the overall cost. Dr. Chinta sent a bill to my insurance company for $1129 and a bill to me for $1654 of which I paid $925 the day of the root canal. Now she refuses to return the $525 that she fraudulently received from me. When she performed the root canal Dr. Chinta, giving a very poor performance, acted as though she could not penetrate the full extent of the second root and gave up. She then suggested performing an apicoectomy that same day for an additional $1000. I refused and was told she was done with the root canal. I later was told by several other endodontists that an apicoectomy is not recommended for molars because of the thickness of the bone in that area. I visited several endodontists to see if they would complete Dr. China's unfinished work but they refused and suggested I have the tooth pulled which I did. I have a case pending with California's Board of Dentistry and in light of the many complaints have requested her license be revoked. DR. CHINTA IS A CROOK. read more

I am extremely unhappy. On 10-2-12, I had a procedure done with Dr. Chinta, which included Bone Graft procedures on 2 of my teeth. The estimate she gave me was $375 per procedure, but when I got my bill, they invoiced me 5 times the original estimate at $1600 per procedure. I filed grievances with Delta Dental Insurance, Better Business Bureau, Dental Board of California, and intend to file suit. I would not recommend this endodontist at all, in view of their highly questionable business practices. If you go to other Dentist Review websites, you will find similar complaints. read more

I believe Dr. Sudah Chinta cracked my tooth during a routine root canal procedure. I went to my dentist in excruciating pain, he told me that I had an abscessed tooth and that I would need a root canal, he referred me to Dr. Chinta. After she examined the x-rays she quoted me $2,000 dollars for the root canal. I told her that I didn't have insurance, she came back at $1,200 dollars to be paid, up front in advance! Persistent discomfort remained in my cheek after the procedure that never went away. At a follow-up dentist appointment I was told that a pimple like sore at my upper gum was an infection. An x-ray showed that the root of the tooth was cracked. The dentist sent me back to Dr. Chinta for an explanation. She told me that it's like "back surgery" that sometimes you may have to go for more procedures, the tooth had to be extracted! read more

My experience in this office was exceptional. After driving nearly 60 miles to find a provider to perform the work needed. I had a file broken in the root of my tooth, calcification, and was in need of a root canal due to a new infection. There were no providers in my area who could perform the procedure so I thought I'd give this place a try. The office was located in a very nice area and had a really nice feel to it. The staff was knowledgeable, which is often an rare find, and the Dr. was very welcoming. She booked her appointments in a way to give me her undivided attention. They answered all my questions and made me feel involved in the decision making process. At the end of it all, the difficult retreat was successful and she was able to save my tooth. I was having this intense pain in my tooth which previously had a filling done at another dentist. After trying to brave it out for a couple of days and popping numerous ibuprofen pills, the pain was getting consistently worse. I have to say, i dislike going to dentists but I'm so glad my wife made the first step of starting to look up dentists. To be honest, and i know almost everyone agrees, its a daunting task to find a good credible dentist. So, after a few researches, we found a general dentist in Pleasonton, CA. Unfortunately, my case was not within their realm of expertise-i needed a specialist, an endodontist. But it didnt end there, they quickly referred me to Dr Sudha of Danville, Endodontics. A phone call was made..and boom!! Dr Sudha was so generous to see me without an appointment (considering the extreme amount of pain i was in). Within 30 minutes (taking account of the drive from pleasonton to Danville) i was in the chair and she was telling me what was wrong. The front desk staff were ahh-mazing!! Michelle & kelly were so professional and considerate and didnt waste any more time than what was necessary for me to get registered and get going. They even went ahead and contacted my Insurance to verify and get everything in order while we were filling out the quick forms. A few quick x-rays and Dr Sudha explained to me what the cause for my pain was. In conclusion, I needed a Root Canal. OMG was the first thing that popped in my mind. I had heard dreaded horror stories about root canals. Dr Sudha explained the procedure and how she was going to do it and suddenly it didn't feel that scary. She prescribed me meds that took care of the pain. A few days later, i was scheduled for the procedure. From the moment, i lay down on the chair to the final act, i was surprised frankly at how smoothly everything went along. Dr Sudha made certain that i was comfortable at every point in the procedure and her small talks were amusing and helped in relaxing. I re-iterate that i did not feel any pain and discomfort throughout, although my tooth gave her a run for her money :) She was professional, detailed and humble, and her knowledge of her profession is commendable. Dr Sudha is a gem and her techniques are outstanding. Her assistant did an amazing job. The office is very modern with modern equipment and machines. Its clean and spills a vibe of serenity. I had the procedure done yesterday, and today i still dont feel no pain, and the only meds im taking is motrin. Superb! I wish to thank Dr Sudha and her team. As much as i dread going to dentists, if the need ever arises for any dental work, i will be back here in a heartbeat and i would recommend them to everyone. read more

After I went for 6 months with a minor symptoms involving tenderness in my gums, my dentist referred me to Dr. Sudha Chinta at Danville Endodontics. An appointment was scheduled promptly, and with expert consultation, the diagnosis was that I needed a root canal. Dr. Sudha prescribed an antibiotic for the infection, and within 48 hours later, I had my root canal treatement. Dr. Sudha prescribed a pain killer, and after taking one pill, I had no symptoms that I had ever had any problem at all. A short turnaround for much needed dental attention, that is an understatement. I was very anxious about the whole process of having to go to a dental specialist, but the office staff, and more specifically, Dr. Chinta did everything to make me feel good about getting my teeth fixed. I never felt judged or anything else negative; it was only a very professional attitude of "We will do everything thing we can to help you in the best way we can." Most importantly to me, Dr. Chinta personally called the same night (8:00 p.m.) just to make sure that I was doing OK and to make sure I didn't need anything.
