I've never left a review for a dental hygienist but, my experience with Jenny has been exceptional. Not only does she do an excellent job when I have my teeth cleaning, she puts me at ease too. Before Jenny, I used to grip the handles on the chair so tightly, my knuckles turned white. Now, before I know it my cleaning is complete, and I forgot to hold the handles. Maybe the reclining chair with a gentle massage roller has something to do with it, but I think it's Jenny's skill. She's gentle and friendly. I almost look forward to my periodic cleanings :) Besides Jenny, all of my interactions with my dentist, Dr. Bachman, and the office staff have been very positive. read more

is it possible to be in love with your dental office?? If it is, I am guilty! I've seen Dr Bachman and Dr. Barnicki in Dr. Nadler's dental practice and they are terrific! But even above them is the staff. A staff can make or break your office and this staff is one of the best I've ever experienced. I love coming to my ! read more

Nadler is a great dentist, but not a fan of his Office Manager Jose. I was an existing patient calling in to ask what the price was for my last dental cleaning or just the general standard price at their practice. I needed to check how much my new insurance would cover. But he refused to tell me by email or by phone. It's a standard set price for general cleanings, not a big deal. Plus I'm a patient asking about my bill. So once I got a receipt in person I posted a copy of the price here on Yelp for anyone ever wondering. He also bugs you after the appointment to sit down in his office and rambles on about your insurance plan and other small talk. Not necessary. Otherwise my dental visits go fine. read more

I love Dr Bachman and my whole family goes to her for our dental needs. Dr Bachman is very professional and knowledgeable and offers great explanation for any questions we might have. I've been a patient of Dr Nadlers for 30 years (my whole life since my first baby teeth!) When my family moved over an hour away from his office, I still demanded we go back to his office for dental care. The whole Dr. Nadler team from the front office to the back office makes you feel like family and well taken care of. Their office uses the best technology and dental advancements. I appreciate Dr Nadler and the teams emphasis on attending conferences and continued education to make sure they are up to date and providing the most current and best care for their patients. They understand that dental care is just one part of your total health and make sure to check for oral cancer screenings and basic medical screenings too! If you have any anxiety about going to the dentist, come to Dr Nadlers. Their team goes above and beyond and everyone is super professional. They'll make you feel comfortable and at ease with any procedure or cleaning. ... Also the best part: THEIR DENTAL CHAIRS DOUBLE AS MASSAGE CHAIRS!! read more

During my first examination as a new patient, Dr. Nadler wore a mask that was loosely tied at the top, and untied at the bottom, while he was with me and examining my open, unprotected mouth. I didn't realize this until later when he was reviewing my X-rays and I saw his mask more clearly. I find it shocking that a dentist during the Delta variant COVID surge, as Contra Costa County enters the red zone, would be so casual and also so lacking in the desire to at least protect me, the patient, who is directly positioned below his open mask. Furthermore, I had read in a Yelp review that Dr. Nadler didn't wear a mask, and I called the office manager Jose, to ask specifically if that was true. Jose assured me that "that situation has been dealt with", and on the basis of his statement, I booked an appointment. I feel quite betrayed by the fact that the situation has clearly not really been dealt with. My previous dentist used an N95 mask and a face shield. I would expect Dr. Nadler to follow normal medical protocol for a dentist in this regard. I would have liked to be given a choice on how many X-rays to get. I feel that the fancy, oral cancer detecting, full head xray/MRI-like image was not necessary, and I would have declined it if I had been asked in advance. The X-ray person did not seem very experienced. She had to retake several bitewing xrays, even 3 times, to get a good image. I am uncomfortable at having that many X-rays when I have always had good oral health. The dental hygienist Yulia was very professional and good. I do feel that the medical advice I was given matched what I have heard from other dentists. Everyone was friendly and nice. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Nadler for many years. His office has always been friendly, accommodating, and professional. This week they squeezed me in for an urgent dental issue and Dr. Bachman was in the office to take care of my needs. I was most impressed with their procedure of Covid precautions before entering into their office. I was met with someone to greet me at the door to take my temperature and offer hand sanitizer. Dr. Bachman and her assistant were professional and super vigilant with their process. Jose, the Office Manager, was efficient and quick about finding out what my insurance coverage was for the recommended mouth gear. I am an acute care nurse at a local hospital and they get a 5 star review for their customer service and safety procedures! Thank you Dr. Bachman, Jose, and the Nadler Team! read more

I was originally a patient of Dr. SaidI. So sorry she moved away. I was never asked if I preferred Dr. Nadler as my dentist, which i wanted. Instead they assigned me to a Dr.Bockman. The things that i don't like about this practice is every single time i go into the office it seems there is a new set of people working there. I don't like that because it is uncomfortable for me to go to the dentist anyway. I made an appointment for a teeth cleaning today. I had to say no to more x-rays, no to having Dr. Bockman come in to see my teeth. They never give you a choice about anything, I am just glad I figured out I now I say no to all those extra charges. This dental hygienist spent less than 30 minutes on my teeth. She kept trying to get the floss through a bridge that I have. Didn't ask about fluoride, which I always get on my teeth when getting them cleaned. She was not or didn't seem to be a good hygienist. I will have to find another read more

Went to Dr. Nadler today and had a terrible experience. We're still in a pandemic, and for some reason Nadler doesn't choose to wear his mask at all times in the office, even when he's in the same room as the patient. Apparently I'm not an exception either since his nurses and team even said he's "a bit loose" when it comes to mask wearing in the office. He also made numerous comments around mask wearing ("Why are you wearing two masks? Why not three? If masks worked, how come we don't do them for the flu?"). It's extremely unprofessional to bring up controversial comments like this to patients and even more embarrassing that he doesn't have any empathy towards his patients (I'm in a group that has higher Covid risks). I would think that someone in his position who has to stick their faces in everyone's mouth for a living may have a bit more understanding around how this all works, but I'm frankly shocked. Fortunately, I spent most of my time around the hygienist and nurses who were wearing masks at all times. Will never be going back to this office and will tell everyone I know the kind of awful service I experienced here. read more

Ever since moving back to the Tri Valley, I've been commuting to San Jose to see my favorite dentist. I got tired of going to San Jose because the traffic keeps getting worse and it became a whole day event. Tried a dentist here in Pleasanton and I had little confidence in her. Happy to report I have found a great dentist. Broke a crown on Monday, phoned Tuesday, had my appointment the next morning, and in 1.5 hours I walked out with my new crown. Not a temporary, the permanent crown! The best part was, I didn't feel the shot at all. This guy is a pro! read more

I have been going to this dental office for a couple of years now and have always had a positive experience. They have been consistent with patient comfort. For example, Robin (hygienist - she's my favorite) turns on the massage feature on the dental chair if I want; she does not hesitate to apply numbing topical solution to my gums for my sensitivity issues before doing any dental work; she always pays attention to the saliva accumulating and gets the suction before I gag; she has a very light touch when working in my mouth - no sudden jabs; she even offers me sunglasses so stuff doesn't get into my eyes!! Most of all, they never over-charge for standard work --unlike my previous dentist who is located on Bolinger Canyon. At that previous dental office, I was once charged $60 for a digital picture! They never told me there was a charge, just sneaked it into my bill. I gave them a piece of my mind for doing that and they removed it from my bill. That same office had to do my root canal TWICE cuz the dentist screwed up -- wanted the business for himself instead of sending me to a proper endodontist. That's why I finally left them and took my family and friends with me. Thank goodness I found Nadler's office. Good to know there are still dentists who are not greedy; keeps up with technology ; and provides outstanding dental care!! So far, so good. read more

Dr. Nadler is amazing. I have been going to him for the last 2 years after a friend referred me. My prior dentist had told me I was going to need a crown so I went to Dr. Nadler for a 2nd opinion. He was able to save my tooth and just do a filling. I go regularly for cleanings and everything is top notch. Just recently my mom's dentist told her she needed to have a tooth extracted and get an implant. I told her to please go see Dr. Nadler for a 2nd opinion. She did and she is thrilled to have found Dr. Nadler. He saved her over $4800 and a tooth extraction. Now my parents drive over an hour for teeth cleaning there. He and his staff are that good. I've been a patient of Dr. Nadler's for about 25 years. He and his staff are wonderful. Most recently I had a bad toothache from a broken tooth while visiting friends in Portland, OR. I cut my trip short to fly back to be healed by Dr. Nadler. My friends asked me why I wouldn't see their dentist; I told them I had the best dentist in the world and wouldn't see anybody else. The next day Dr. Nadler squeezed me into his schedule. He did a root canal and a crown that amazingly were painless, even after the anesthetic wore off. I am very grateful to him. read more

The dental team a very professional and courteous, and they really know their stuff. Best teeth cleaning every time. Dr. Nadler and his team use all the newest equipment and his office is spotless. Dr. Nadler's "chair-side manner" is tremendous. He puts his patients at ease, and always explains things in plain english. He was able to get me set up on the needed medication and an appointment on the next available day. Glad to report all is well. What we suspected was true and now I'm no longer in pain. No further action was required. My family and I have come to see Dr. Nadler for years. Will continue for years to come. Skip the rest and go here. In order to understand my review, you would need to know just how much anxiety I face when going to the dentist. This was my first visit with Dr. Nadler, and unfortunately it involved a very loose/painful tooth that needed to be extracted. From the onset, I was genuinely impressed with the entire office. I had called my (now previous) dentist to get an appointment to have the tooth extracted, but was told they couldn't take me for TWO WEEKS!! Totally disgusted with their response, I searched Yelp and found 5 stars for Dr. Nadler....and now I know why!! His office manager, Jose, was very kind and sympathetic when I called to set up an appointment. He even tried to get me in the same day, but I couldn't make it. I wound up going the following morning and was greeted by an amazing front office team, who also attempted to calm my nerves. Then Jose came out and introduced himself .....having spent a great deal of time with me on the phone the day before. Upon meeting Dr. Nadler, I knew immediately that he was the "real deal". He was reassuring and patient and stayed with me the entire time it took for my mouth to numb. His "chair-side manner" was mild and calming. The extraction went without a hitch. The anticipation was far worse than the actual extraction. He gave me his cell number in case of any issues AND made a point of calling me later in the day to make sure I was okay!! Needless to say....Dr. Nadler will now be my new "go-to" dentist!!! read more
