Cal Design Studio handled all the plans, permits and inspections, hired licensed subcontractors, and the project manager was responsive and insightful. What I like the most about Cal Design Studio is their pragmatic approach -- they are not trying to "sell" you anything. They listen carefully to what your need is, and offer a creative and practical solution through their design plans. They have a great network of suppliers and subcontractors, which means you get a very high quality product. They built the ADU from the foundation all the way to the final touches. We also hired Cal Design Studio to install a new roof in the main house on the property. We will hire Cal Design Studio for any and all future work.

I told her what I wanted and she came up with several designs and worked with me to make several revisions. My contractor even complimented on her amazing work and how it was very easy to follow her architectural drawings. It was a fun project. Would definitely use Ayesha again for future remodels and would recommend her to anyone!

Majo and Hellen guided us every step of the way, helping us shape our Modern Spanish aesthetic while creating a detailed design plan for our contractor. With both of us working full-time, their expertise saved us countless hours and headaches. One of the biggest renovation challenges is dealing with overwhelming choices. Design Loft curated a few perfect options for everything--paint colors, light fixtures, cabinets, tiles--allowing us to make decisions efficiently while staying true to our vision. Their value went far beyond aesthetics. They caught several contractor mistakes that could have caused major issues and connected us to great vendors that helped us find the best deals. Here's something important: without a skilled designer, contractors often take the easiest route rather than creating the high-end look you're envisioning. At times we questioned our choices, but trust the process! Everything came together beautifully, and we couldn't be happier with the result. If you're planning a renovation, working with Design Loft is a no-brainer. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to create designs perfectly tailored to your taste make them invaluable. Highly recommend Majo, Hellen, and the entire team!

My wife and I really liked her and felt like she would be a great fit to take on our project. Oh and they also helped me do all the permitting with the city which helped me A LOT! That is something that was unique to Design Loft. Helen and Majo walked us through the whole process and built a room and generated a 3D layout and it was awesome! So cool to see it go from a design to reality! I would totally recommend Design Loft to anyone looking to design something special! Let them make your vision even better and transform it to reality.

I met Pam, and on the spot, knew she was the right person to work with. Pam asked all the right questions and listened to what we wanted in our dream home. She completely understood our vision, thought of every little detail, and didn't overlook any aspect of the project that we felt was important. The level of detail and thoroughness when it came to how the spaces were designed really showed Pam and Erwin's level of expertise. Pam and Erwin had our dreams, vision, and best interest in mind. From the initial space planning for the kitchen and master bathroom, the layout of slabs, tile and cabinetry, selection of all the finish materials, colors, fixtures and hardware, they were very professional to work with. Details matter to us, and their attention to detail is apparent in our finished home. They referred excellent vendors and suggested the best, high end and quality finishes and materials. Most importantly, Pam and Erwin's work ethics are unbeatable, and they made sure we got everything we wanted on our checklist. From start to finish, the design process went smoothly, and the meetings and discussions were fun and productive. We gave them the creative freedom and trusted their design process and vision and our kitchen and bathroom remodel designs are masterpieces. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that we asked for Pam's help to furnish our house. Every room was beautifully designed with an understated sense of elegance and in tune with the architecture and surroundings. Pam's sense of style and her vision has positively impacted our quality of life as we enjoy her work every day. We are very grateful that we were able to work with Pam and Erwin. Our house would have not been the same without their creativity and vision.

We went to her after comparing quotes from different dealers. She went with great details that compared semi-custom cabinet proposals (look and quote) and full-customize cabinet proposals (look and quote) in order to balance our budget and design. It is much easier for us to make final kitchen decisions thanks to these efforts! Linlin visited our site 3 times for measurements, material selection, and after -sale service.  Thanks for her very detailed effort, no design mistakes in our full-customized kitchen cabinet (We do have very specific demand on  different-cabinets-aligning-door-split-look and highly customized 4 rounded island designs). She double checked every detail of our fully customized drawings in the designing stage, which prevent mistakes in the installation. We heard a lot of errors and dramas in building new homes caused from careless from the front design stage, and are glad we experienced none. Linlin is always there for the after-sale service. The manufacturer shipped us the wrong hinge model for one cabinet arm. She spent time with us verifying the correct model, and quickly requested for us new arms for free.  Again, I highly recommend Linlin, who helps our dream-kitchen-to-a-reality process much easier and pleasant. She is a reliable kitchen designer to go to and I can't remommend her service enough!
