We found the couch style we liked, picked a performance fabric, chose how many cushions, seat firmness, seat depth, chaise length and width. Literally everything was customized! I also love that it's made in California without any forever chemicals. I didn't want a prop 65 warning on our couch especially since we have a new baby at home. Daniel was so helpful in the store with all of our questions and he had great suggestions and made sure that we knew our options. We never felt pressured into anything and that's really appreciated. Being it's made to order they said it would take 4-6 weeks but it was delivered in 3 weeks!!! Love this place and highly recommend them.

Not only did he quickly draw up designs to meet our needs, he weighed in respectfully on aesthetic aspects that we needed guidance with. I must point out that Trevor's designs made super-efficient use of our spaces - even some that other competing designs said would be wasted. After we signed the contract with him, Trevor's team came in and did an AMAZING job realizing the designs. The craftsmanship was top notch and the men were professional, punctual and super hardworking. The finished products were a breathtaking improvement to our home. We got rid of several old pieces of furniture that were made redundant by the buildouts. I'll be honest-we were pretty overwhelmed at the thought of doing a full makeover for our home. We…read moreknew we wanted a total makeover for our place, but trying to find a team that actually handles the 'boots on the ground' construction side and the high-end design is way harder than it looks. After talking to a few different firms, Kanika Design just felt like the right fit. Kanika really listened to what we wanted. I've always been a bit nervous about using bold colors, but she pushed us (in a good way!) for a deeper color palette in the main living areas. It looks incredible. Kanika found us so many unique, high-quality furniture pieces that you just won't find at a big-box store. The biggest thing for us was logistics. Once the design process completed, their team handled everything - architectural, permit headache, and construction. Anyone who has done a remodel knows things never go 100% perfectly, but whenever an issue popped up, they were on top of it immediately. They kept the contractors moving and kept us updated on the budget and what was happening next. It's a relief to finally be done after 2 years and have a home that feels like us but way better. We hired her a few years ago when my wife wanted help selecting paint colors for 4 bedrooms, living room, and hallways. It was just a small job and I wasn't sure we needed help for such a task. What a difference it makes having a designer help! She walked through each room, got a good sense of us, the function of each space, and what furnishings (designs/colors) needed matching. The end result was great. So when it was time to remodel both the master and hall bathrooms a couple years layer, we had her consult at our house, and then at a couple of stores. We met at a tile store to look through and select everything. She helps de-sress the design decisions (my wife and I joke that she saves marriages by being the design intermediary). She also went with us to pick out cabinets at one of her"go-to" stores that has budget pricing with better quality and options than the big box stores. We opted to have her do design drawings of the tile layouts...do that!! I had thought about saving the money and doing it with my own CAD software.
