Love coming to this place! The quantities are enormous! Perfect for to go for families. Love their sushi rolls. Especially the guava roll. The tostones with ajo were absolutely delicious! Super hot and lots of garlic. Their fried rice is always a must have. Service is fast and easy. Food comes out pretty quickly as well. Lots of seating inside.

I visited this place for the first time, and it is fairly spacious and very clean, with a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a meal. I was impressed by the size of the dishes wow it was so much that I had leftovers to take home! The flavor was delicious. My husband ordered the steak with chimichurri, and I definitely recommend it. The customer service makes the place even more enjoyable. I would definitely return!

It's been a long time since I've left a restaurant with heavy bags of food! And for the price point, not bad at all. The food itself is decent but the sheer amount of food is staggering. I'd say if you align your expectations for getting full and feeding a large gathering, this is a pretty reasonable spot. The one thing I didn't love was all the red dye in their dishes. The plantain sushi were surprisingly delicious. Never would've thought to fuse these. Worth a try if you love plantains.

Perfect fusion of Latino/Asian foods. Everything we ordered tasted great I wish we'd of known the portions were so huge. 2 people can easily share a meal. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. There is room to sit however not many seats so on a busy day you may not have a place to sit order take out maybe? The location is right on the edge of Katy and right off the westpark and peak road exit. Very convenient at least for me I live just down the street. You do have to order first no waiters so grab a menu up at the front if you need to browse before you order. The staff can make recommendations if you need them but basically all thier menu looks and sounds delicious! I will certainly be coming back around when I get the chance or when I'm craving a good fusion of Latino/Asian cuisine!

GOOD FOOD, MASSIVE PORTIONS, NO FRILLS "RESTAURANT" FOOD: Good, borderline great tasting food. VERY GENEROUS PORTIONS! To-go box was overfilled. All your food will be in to-go boxes, whether you say dining in or not. The San Fried Rice (signature) is full of tasty shrimp, chicken, eggs, and steak (slightly well-done though - sigh). The boneless BBQ ribs are super delicious, just a tad on the sweet side. No alcohol. They told me they used to have alcoholic drinks though. They've been open for about 4 yrs. $1 for bottled water (Ozarka). $2 for Arizona Iced Tea 20oz (maybe for sodas also). I mentioned prices because drink prices are not on the menu. Not bad. AMBIENCE: Non-existent. Seems like they are just a restaurant hybrid. Half of the "restaurant" is decorated with small non-functional windows and doors on the walls (yes doors). The other half is filled with cartons of soda cans and other supply boxes (see pics). You can tell that they really want you to take your food to go! Seems like this place is stuck in the COVID era. Mask sign is still prominently posted on door, ALL food is packed to-go containers, inside a plastic grocery bag, only small plastic forks (no real sturdy utensils), flimsy white paper plates, and only small 8 oz plastic cups (4 gulps worth before you have to refill them). CUSTOMER SERVICE: Meh at best. Friendly at register. But after you pay, they pretty much will leave you alone. Good for some guests, bad for others. So if you want ice or a cup, or anything else, you must go to the counter and ask. Contrary to another reviewer, they seemed willing to give me what I requested (twice) in a polite, friendly manner. MISC: The restaurant is a Chino Latino restaurant. But I didn't expect them to take it so literally. Working the register is a latino guy and an asian (chinese) guy. LOL. Well, there is also a young latina in the front, in charge of wrapping up the food and doing misc duties (like giving me with a cup of ice). Also, you won't find their menu if you enter the restaurant and head to the left. Despite having 2 computer screens above the register, there is no menu or food listings on them - only rotating pics of some of the food plates. Another customer pointed out that the menus were lying flat on the drinks refrigerator, so they are sort of hidden. Of course, in COVID fashion, they are on plain 8x11 paper and laminated. Now, if we had turned right when we entered, we would've been on a small narrow "yellow brick road", protected by a tall wall, that would lead us straight to the drinks refrigerator. Duh. Clueless us. Anyway, tonight was our first time. We will def be back to try other items on their menu.

Big plate of food! Ribs and rice.

Came back to eat at this excellent establishment! I guarantee you, you will not leave hungry! I love pork chops and these two pieces are cooked perfectly and thick! I could only eat one and took the rest home for later! Will definitely come back and try more dishes. The staff are friendly, restrooms are clean, and love the environment!

Cute, modern interior, yall gotta admit, this probably the best we got in the west. ok down to business, my personal rec's I don't like the scallop here, I do like salmon belly, and their specials, so hearing the specials in the beginning is well worth your time. seared salmon belly, otoro, they actually change specials, so just let them tell you. DO NOT ORDER THE SPIDER ROLL - it's a big a* roll with a lot of rice, you're gonna go down. It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

When ordering nigiri and rolls, be sure to ask for less rice b/c although the rice was cooked very well, the ratio of fish to rice was a little off. Service was okay, they did get hit with a big rush of customers after we sat down, so our server ended up forgetting a couple items. side note: idk if they can find a solution to this but the tablet that you order through is super bulky, heavy, and just took up a lot of space on an already small the table, which is kind of annoying for an ayce place. Maybe find some way to mount it on the table. Also, that sweet shrimp is just shrimp, we ordered thinking it was gonna be amaebi.

The service was wonderful and everything came out quickly. I tried the oysters which were my least favorite out of everything I tried. The onions take away the flavor of the oysters. Then I tried the unagi sushi and that one was okay it tasted like some other sushi rolls I've had. It was good it just didn't stand out. Then I tried the brown sugar scallops which the scallops are a big size and in like a thick soup like cream. It reminded me of clam chowder. I don't know if I would order it again but it is worth a try. I tried the foie gras and this was torched and I loved the texture where it melted in my mouth. However, the flavors were a bit weird I guess they're going for a fruity flavor but it just doesn't work together especially the dried strawberry on top. I tried the tomato kanapaccio and that one was good for a vegetable. I thought that blended well with all of the flavors. Then my favorite was the hamachi kosho it's spicy from the Serrano peppers but that kick is just what I needed in a hamachi. My next favorite was the miso cod. The miso cod had some bones in it but the fish was so soft and practically fell off the bone. The Brussel sprouts were good as well. It didn't stand out but it just tasted like other places nothing special. I also tried the sashimi belly flight, bluefin flight, and salmon flight. You can get these in nigiri with but I believe you get fewer slices(3 or 2) The belly flight was my favorite. It had 3 different fishes and my favorite on that spread was the o toro. The quality of the fish were tasty it didn't really have any flavors on it so do not expect a flavored fish this is just sashimi.

The weather will do whatever it will, but the menu remains seasonal with old favorites like the diced shrimp tempura (an absolute must), and new favorites. Quality remains consistent across the board and freshness was tasted at first bite of every dish. Service was great! Water was refilled without having to glance around, and though I couldn't get a midori sour today, my modified torched Paloma had the exact level of sweetness I wanted. As obvious as the casual polish present is, Tobiuo is such an approachable, welcoming establishment. Staff is so friendly and accommodating, allergies are even asked upfront so the meal can be appropriately modified, and the 2 - 5 pm happy hour menu is nothing to scoff at.

Wagyu or not, I've tried different beef dishes, usually the limited time specials, and they've often been tough with gristle or connective tissue. One annoyance was that the mobile checkout wasn't working, or rather it displayed the price and had a place to put your name and email, but no way to input a payment method. I've done this before in several Kura Sushi spots and was even able to login to get rewards, so not sure why it was so hard here. So I called a server and it took forever to make a payment.
