Hi, I'm calling because I'm really unhappy about something that happened at your restaurant today.
My friend came to your Korean BBQ restaurant, and there was no clear notice saying that customers were not allowed to take leftover meat home. There was only a very small line mentioning that an extra fee would be required if we wanted to take it away.
My friend followed that rule and actually paid the extra fee. But after he paid, your employee took the food and threw it in the garbage right in front of him.
Honestly, I don't understand how that makes any sense. If you were not going to let him take the food, why charge him the extra fee in the first place? And on top of that, the employee was rude and even insulted him.
That is completely unacceptable customer service. We paid for the food and then paid the additional fee that your restaurant asked for. At the very least, we expected to be treated with basic respect.
I'm not calling just to argue. I want an explanation for why this happened, and I would also like to know what you are going to do about it. Because from a customer's point of view, paying an extra fee and then watching the food get thrown away is honestly ridiculous.
I understand that you may have a policy, but a policy needs to be clearly communicated to customers. Charging someone a fee and then throwing away the food after they have paid it is not a reasonable way to handle the situation.
And regardless of your policy, there is no excuse for an employee to insult or disrespect a customer. I would appreciate it if you could take this complaint seriously instead of simply telling me that "it's the policy."
