They were busy for Sunday dinner service when we came in. We were seated right away, the service remained excellent for the rest of the meal. We got the moon special and it is a lot of food. So delicious! I opted for the spicy bulgogi, kiwi salad dressing, and plain chicken. So delicious! Definitely deserving of a 5 star rating and more. Would love to visit again before our stay in Calgary ends.

Not really a place I recommend for AYCE. I took my friend here from Toronto to try this korean BBQ and this was a place I never tried before. The AYCE menu was quite low budget and poor quality photos my friend was even questioning like ?? This stuff did not look appetizing at all. Their washroom had no heat whatsoever and we came here during the deep freeze -30 the most uncomfortable feeling is sitting on a cold toilet seat! Our food arrived quite slow we waited around 20-30 mins for our food to just start arriving one at a time. Their green onion pancake has minimal green onion and very doughy. Their bbq meat had decent flavour but the meat didn't taste fresh. Their crispy fried chicken was juicy and tender and very crispy on the outside but had no seasoning at all. The only things we liked were: Beef udon soup - well seasoned beef and good broth Side dishes especially the potatos - one of the best crispy sweet potatos. Pork bone soup - not too spicy but just enough and really amazing flavour. Would definitely not recommend this place though in the future because we definitely did not get our $30 worth of all you can eat. There were way too many things that weren't tasty.

I love this place. The prices are reasonable. They have really good lunch deals. I came here with a colleague for lunch. I got the garlic soy beef short rib bento box for $15.50. It was an awesome deal. Great portion size. It was super delicious as well. The bento box came with vegetable tempura, rice, beef short ribs, bean spouts, sweet potatoes and a side of kimchi. Moon just opened this year replacing a Vietnamese restaurant. It is located in Chinatown. Free parking can be found on the side of the building. I highly recommend coming here. Summing up everything: Delicious Authentic Korean Restaurant!

We ordered take out from Moon Korean BBQ after doing a quick search for something nearby. We ordered 2 of the beef short rib meals, 1 soy garlic chicken, 1 japchae and 1 large kimchi (which wasn't very large) which my husband cooked and mixed with the beef short ribs to give more flavour. The food was ok, not the best and not the worst that we have tried. The japchae was ok, I wish it had more shitake mushrooms. The chicken was delicious and crispy, good flavour. The beef short ribs just fell a little short when we first tried them. So my husband decided to cook them with the kimchi and then they were really yummy! I thought the price was a little steep for the amount of food. The price in my picture was before I added the second beef ribs meal. Total was around $90-$95. The service was very friendly tho!!!

This was a very pleasant surprise. Despite the positive reviews we didn't except it to be this good. Every dish we ordered tasted great. The all you can eat option allowed us to try many dishes. The veggies, the beef, the pork, all were made fresh and savoury. The fried chicken was to die for.

The exterior of the building appears that it is situated in an old house, which definitely adds to the charm. The staff greeted me an led me to a table on the upper floor. Immediately, I noticed that most parties in here were large and the portions were family style. Definitely something that I wish I had brought friends to and not just come in as a solo diner. However, the staff did not make me feel weird about this at all. I ordered a Lychee Time cocktail and a Rose Rice Cake curry. They brought out an included kimchee plate, which was certainly enough for 4 people. The Rose Rice Cake dish was the same, enough for 2-4 people to share. Both the kimchi and the curry were amazing, I enjoyed both immesely. My only complaint was that my drink was far too sweet, I had to water it down to finish it. When it came time for my inevitable leftovers, the staff had great suggestions for reheating and I was even able to purchase udon to go for the leftovers. Amazing homey experience that I would recommend to anyone in town (preferably with friends!).

My craving must have been intense because I didn't even think about it and started my long walk there. The layout of the restaurant is interesting. The bathroom is in the basement, the first floor is a bit small but has some tables, and the second floor has most of the dining area space. Interior decoration was pretty minimal but there was kpop playing and it was a bit dark in there so if you're looking to get a few drinks and Korean food with some friends, this would be a great spot. When I was sat at my table and I looked through the menu, the first thing that popped in my head was that they had quite an extensive menu. From army stew, bibimbap, bulgogi, and what I decided to get Dakgalbi (marinated chicken bbq). The Dakgalbi was really good and marinated well. I wasn't expecting the fried rice at the end to come with it like in Korea which was also really good. The only critique I have regarding the food is that there weren't that many side dishes (banchan) and the lettuce on the side was an extra $5. Service was on point. Thu and the woman server, I forgot her name, worked well as a team to make sure everyone was taken care of even though they had to walk up and down those stairs probably 10+ times just when I was there.

The inside is also rather small, they seat maybe 7 tables each with 2-4 people per table. There's tons of traditional Korean decorations everywhere. The staff is also all Korean and greet you in Korean. There's unlimited high quality purple bean rice. The sides are nothing to write home about other than the macaroni salad. They had an interesting take on it by adding imitation crab - I'm not sure I liked that part. Otherwise it's similar to the chain BCD tofu. The ever popular seafood pajeon (a pancake-like dish) is made extremely thick and therefore isn't crispy at all like pajeon normally is. I don't really recommend this item. Interestingly there's a bulgogi dish with vegetables and noodles (thin, clear). Makes the dish much more hearty. The flavor and quality was pretty good. Seafood tofu soup. They do a great job of making it spicy if you ask. The flavoring has that umami feel. Overall, not overwhelmingly amazing. A bit on the pricey side. They do have a very wide range of menu items and some pretty authentic items that aren't normally regularly provided in Korean restaurants. Service is fine - didn't meet anyone rude or anyone particularly amazing either.

Beef soup was delicious as was the egg casserole. Cheesy corn tasted a lot like canned corn. Wings were cooked perfectly and wished they had more of a kick. They were supposed to be sweet and spicy but I found them too sweet. Complimentary Mango crushed ice was inventively playful and a joy to eat. All of us tried it and thought it was light and not too sweet. Refreshing.
