They hand crafted a menu to suit us specifically and it was the number one thing we bragged about to friends before the event and after. They were able to meet every single dietary restriction but not only that, they did it well. The vegan/vegetarian options were arguably the best on the menu which is rare and hard to accomplish especially when it comes to a big event (and it wasn't pasta!). When I say that I also want to highlight how good their meat mains were too. All the carnivores where just as satisfied as the vegans, which is no small feat. They thought of absolutely everything when planning our wedding and made us feel more like friends than clients. I also appreciated their focus on local and sustainable food sources but while also taking into consideration our (meagre) budget. They made all our food dreams come true. They served our 175 guests cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, AND midnight snack for less per person than an average prime rib dinner. While making each aspect of the event accessable and enjoyable to absolutely all dietary choices, minimizing waste, and focusing on local and sustainable food sources. I got the pulled pork meal, all the meals come with your choice of side: potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, but I opted for the corn bread. They were super quick with doling out the orders, once you receive it you can shimmy three steps to the left and put on all the BBQ sauces. I swear there are at least 15 options of sauces ranging from spicy to sweet and even some smoky sauces were available. I lathered up my pulled pork bun and found somewhere to sit and eat. I was not disappointed in all the hype I have heard of Holy Smoke from my husband. Glad to see the food truck incarnation holds up to the restaurant. Moist delicious pork, great coleslaw topping on the bun (maybe don't order coleslaw as your side), the sauces I had donned were flavorful and that corn bread. My husband's brisket varied from burnt black to pale blue and no amount of chewing improved the texture. It too had grease pouring off it. If I could five zero stars I would. The chicken was cooked well with lots of spice and flavour. You also get your choice of two sides, I had fried plantains and rice and peas. Both sides were very good. The rice and peas are cooked in coconut milk, so they are rich with a mild flavour that is a good juxtaposition for the spicy chicken. So my knowledge of a freshly cooked fries is fairly accurate. I beg and implore you as consumers of decent food keep driving. I always order Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). The menu conveniently indicates the spice level of each dish, making it easy to choose. The Jajangmyeon is absolutely delicious. I always add extra noodles, which allows me to enjoy a generous portion. The Tangsuyuk is amazing--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and served in a generous portion. The flavor and texture are just perfect. Overall, San Dong Banjeom offers great-tasting Chinese food with good portion sizes. If you're looking for authentic Korean-style Chinese cuisine in Calgary, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Since this place is only 3 minutes from our AirBnB, we decided to go here because it's close and I saw on the pictures that they have Kang poong gi. We ordered the half soup and half black bean noodles and Kang poong gi (#34). And it was gooood! The chicken is not too spicy and just had the right taste to it but probably just too much sauce. If you're having the chicken to go and want it still crispy when you get home, try having the sauce on the side or just asked not to put too much sauce on it. The half and half is a pretty good combo and deal. It's nice to get to try both especially if this your 1st time having Korean food. If we're from around here, we'll most likely be here all the time!!!
