I was referred by an attorney on a lien after being in a major car accident, that wasn't due to anything I had control over. Upon meeting him i advised him of past experiences with opiates and my concern that was met with a standoffish stance from Naveed, only speaking my truth. I didn't ask for medication. After going through the motions on my end with epidurals with Naveed, I had a surgery at Tova with an outside surgeon. I was advised by my designated post surgery guardian that while in the waiting room, a conversation between Mr. Natanzi and the surgeon was clearly overheard. Which in accordance with HIPAA Privacy Rule (45 CFR 164.510(b) isn't legal. Mr. Natanzi was asked by the surgeon what he should prescribe me, to which Mr. Natanzi stated "Don't, he's a drug addict". Which was all heard from the waiting room in the lobby of Tova Surgical Center. A phone conversation was had between Mr. Natanzi and myself upon hearing of this which is vehemently denied ever occurring. Mr.Natanzi called back 20 minutes following the initial denial, apologizing saying he shouldn't have said the above statement. With that being said, this is 30 minutes upon leaving the center, post surgery. If anybody has a question, this should be all you need to see about the type of care expressed by Mr. Natanzi.

I have had 15 surgeries in 12 years and have an aggressive autoimmune disease that requires pain management and injections and all manner of treatment options. The care and compassion are wonderful. If you live with chronic pain in the current climate, it can be impossible to get long-term help or get compassionate care. But Dr. Root will and can help. From spine shots and other options, they have an solution for almost every problem; this has been my experience. The office staff are helpful and wonderful -- they don't judge and do their best to understand and manage your needs. Also, they answer the phone; however, if they are busy and you leave a message, they WILL CALL YOU BACK -- a concept that is forgotten in many medical facilities. There are not enough kind words to explain how much they have helped me live a full and happy life beyond my condition. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Dr. Root and his magical team of marvelous and kind medical professionals (you know who you are :-)).

That evening he called me with the good (thankfully) news. I could not be more happy with his professionalism, kindness, and sense of urgency. As a first-time patient, I personally would have liked a bit more individualized care during my adjustment. The appointment was fairly brief (around 15 minutes) and felt more standardized than tailored to my specific needs. This may work well for many patients, but for me, I tend to respond better to a more customized approach. I also think body type can play a role in chiropractic care. While Dr. Bauman is clearly knowledgeable and professional, those in larger bodies may feel more comfortable with a chiropractor who has greater physical strength or uses different techniques. The office does offer some nice amenities, including a rolling adjustment table, access to massage therapists, and discounted rates on certain days. My insurance doesn't cover chiropractic visits, and the $60 out-of-pocket cost felt reasonable for this area. Overall, this practice may be a good fit for some, but I left wishing my regular chiropractor had availability, as I didn't feel quite as confident that my migraine symptoms were fully resolved. I can tell you unequivocally, Dr. Nevo is the most caring, kind, personable, and understanding doctors that I've ever seen. He has gone out of his way to learn about conditions that I have that he wasn't up-to-date on, so that he could treat me more effectively and unlike many doctors he is not only willing to admit if he doesn't know something, but he is willing to do the work to learn if it's within his scope of support. If something isn't within his scope of support, he is always happy and eager to offer a referral. Because of all my medical conditions and doctors appointments and treatments, I have CPTSD and one of the most amazing things about Dr. Nevo is that he not only treats your body, but also your mind. He understands how intricately linked physical pain and your mental state can be. Finding a doctor that takes into consideration and understands the mental turmoil that pain causes and how it relates to the physical aspect of things is very, very rare indeed. Because of my myriad health conditions, I know that I am not seeing Dr. Nevo for any sort of "cure" however I can tell you that he has provided me with a sense of medical security, peace of mind that I am in good hands and the knowledge that he will do everything in his power to help me find any sort of relief. You are forced through to Facey's completely incompetent and inadequate system. I'm 3 weeks in to trying to get a copy of my medical records. They send you to MyChart but then NEVER check messages or respond. I call and I'm #21 in the queue, waiting on hold for HOURS. And it's not just during "busy times," it's ALL of the time. Put it this way, I would take the DMV any day over dealing with OSS/Facey now. Such a shame that this behemoth of monster has swallowed a once great practice.
