Absolutely amazing service by David. Over the phone service that was just priceless. He messaged back saying he would like to speak to me instead of the other plumbers that quoted $225-$250 flat cost. I called and David wanted to see photos of my issue by phone. Sent pictures to him and he said all I needed was to turn off the water main in the house. He then instructed me on how to replace the fill valve and to properly re-pressurize the water lines and check for leaks. David basically did the repairs I needed without a service call. I am going to put David on the top of my list when I remodel the kitchen with a new dishwasher, sink and over the range microwave vent. Priceless service. read more

Really confused. I always call the service company I had a positive experience with first so I called Dave at Samurai plumbing about replacing my daughter's broken water heater. He was local and did such a great job about three or four years ago and he was very friendly. It is a Sunday, I don't know if I got him at a bad time but he pretty much said he didn't want to do the job. First he said he was too busy so I asked when he could and just said he just couldn't. I asked if he could recommend someone and he said he didn't know any other plumbers. Just thought this conversation was odd. Anyway I found another plumber. read more

My experience was a bit odd, I received a quote to remove an old dishwasher and install the new one. We also asked for the new hardware on the kitchen sink to be installed. We scheduled the work to be done yesterday. When Dave arrived and took a look he said we needed to install an electrical panel first before the dishwasher could be installed. He said the garage disposal needed the electrical panel as well and that underneath the sink the pipe was leaking. We understood he could not install or remove the dishwasher so We asked if he could just install the kitchen faucet and fix the pipe and he said he didn't feel comfortable and refused the job entirely. I asked for clarification by phone the same day for why the kitchen faucet and pipe couldn't be fixed and without explanation he said that he would have to refuse the job. ***update he called me today after he read the review to say that he didn't feel like it was safe and that it would be better for someone else to complete the entire job. read more

I have been using Dave for three years and he has exceeded my expectations EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. He is friendly, professional, honest, and most importantly, a man of his word. A plumber like that is hard to find. His prices are unbeatable! I can confidently say he is the very best (and I'm hard to please)! Water heater replacement 10/2018- My water heater is located in a carpeted garage (AKA man cave). It had a slow leak which I was unaware of due to the carpeting. When discovered, due to a foul smell, Dave came to the rescue. He helped rip out the carpet, replace the water heater, and replace the dirty/stinky/moldy drywall. He went above and beyond his job duties! When asked about it, his response was "I want to do the job right." Most shockingly, he did not ask for more than the amount quoted. Of course no good deed goes unnoticed so I made sure to compensate him for the extra time and effort. It's been over a year and the water heater is going strong! Broken pipe repair during COVID 7/2020- I have been doing my best to quarantine and limit interactions with others. Unfortunately, the pipe in my backyard burst and water was spewing everywhere! I was hesitant on getting it repaired due to COVID, but I didn't have much of a choice. Dave immediately put all my worries to ease. He made sure to follow mask requirements and social distancing guidelines. As always, he went above and beyond! The job required a lot of digging up dirt, chopping roots, and fending off ants (sorry!) Although this job left him with ant bites and a burn, he had such a positive attitude the whole time! Thank you! read more

The only plumber in the area that answered the phone, asked questions, called back, and committed. Happy he did as he absolutely delivered. I sent him photos and he communicated with me prior to arriving to make sure he was ready with all the right parts prior to arriving. Went above and beyond and also checked out some other issues while he was here. Happy to find Dave. read more

Dave once again saved the day for us. The last time we called him was 7 years ago, glad to see he is still on the job and we were able to find him on yelp. We initially had what we thought was a clogged drain, but it turned out to be a much more serious issue. We called the first plumbing company and we thought they had cleared the clogged drain. A couple of weeks went by, and the smell in our kitchen was getting worse and worse--like rotten trash/sewer. It turns out the first plumber had pierced our sewer drain line in two separate places because he was too careless/aggressive when he went to clear the drain line. David, the owner at Samurai, visited, gave us a fair quote and was able to fix the problem the same day. (Our 3-year-old found the drain opening 'cleanout,' I guess it's called, on the side of the house, and stuck golf balls in there until we realized he was doing it). You can see by the pictures of the plastic golf ball jammed in there and the only way to fix it was remove a section of the pipe and replace it with a new pipe. Thank goodness we got this fixed before a huge lake of sludge formed under our house. Thanks Samurai! David was a true professional. read more

While winding down the home remodel, I noticed there were a few things around the house bugging me to a point I couldn't sleep. Call me crazy but, the gas line for my inside dryer stuck out of the wall too much. This would cause my dryer to be too far away from the wall. I looked all over Yelp and came across Samurai plumbing and a few others. They all had near perfect reviews, some quoted higher/lower than others, but, I decided to go with Dave because of his attention to detail during the home visit - even with something as small as shortening a gas line, and willingness to work within my budget. Dave showed up promptly and was ready with floor protectors (I have brand new floors), his tools and all the parts he needed. He was very knowledgeable with plumbing and gas, worked meticulously, cleaned up and took the trash with him. He was even kind enough to help me move the washer and dryer back in from the garage. If you're looking for a licensed plumber, give Dave a call. Highly recommend and I will definitely keep his number in my phone. Enjoy. read more

Excellent service! Highly Recommended! Communication was very easy with David, he responds quickly with a reasonable quote and showed up earlier than scheduled for the job. He's very detail on the work he does, as there was a few hiccups from the instructions that caused him more time, but he took it in stride and got everything worked out. Additional parts was needed to replace and David had no issues making a trip to the store to get them. On top of it he did a very clean job as everything was covered up and no mess was left behind. Always good when you're dealing with an owner that cares about his business which David does and he provides great customer service. He will be the plumber I call first from now on! read more

I needed some custom work done in the garage and went about getting multiple bids from Yelp. David from Samurai Plumbing was the only one who took time to find out what I was going for. I had a certain setup in my mind and David advised me against it and came up with a better solution. In the end he did the job well, and I love the outcome. Also we had been plagued with water pressure issues for close to a year and he fixed that for free! If you live in Chino Hills or Chino, give David a call for your plumbing needs. He will not disappoint. read more

Called, owner was very rude. Rather than try to help me with my problem, he spent most of the conversation trying to fix the way I described the problem. Of course I don't know the correct terms, if I was an expert I would fix it myself, lol Telling me the difference between "repair" and "replacement" was unnecessary. You could have just said that you don't perform that service rather than lecture me about the term I used. read more

Long story short, we recently moved into a fixer upper that was built in the mid-70's. We experienced a small plumbing issue that lead to a bigger one, and then a bigger one. Can't give enough thanks to Dave, who we found on yelp and was able to expertly save the day! Emergency 1: After going a full night with our shower just running, we contacted Dave first thing in the morning and he came right away. He quickly replaced our broken main water shutoff valve with a beautiful quarter turn ball valve, and as a bonus, replaced part of a badly corroded pipe we didn't know about. With our water shutoff now working, we decided we could try our own hand at fixing the shower. Emergency 2: NOPE. At this point we couldn't turn the main back on, otherwise scalding hot water would have shot straight out of the wall at full pressure. We called Dave once more that night because the shower valve was so old that it (and all its parts) had been discontinued. Without hesitation he helped us set up a game plan to get everything back into working order and scheduled to come first thing in the morning again. Every action he made was well thought out, and he explained the What's and Why's every step of the way. He measured out the path of least resistance (and least costly wall repair), and went to work from the opposite side of our shower. A few hours later, we had a new Moen in place and our plumbing crisis was calmly averted. Throughout our entire experience with him, Dave was professional, patient, fair, and most importantly extremely easy to communicate with. We stumbled upon his company on Yelp, but I don't think we could find better service or better rates anywhere else. He will definitely be our go-to plumbing service for as long as he's in business! read more

David replaced my mom's garbage disposal a few months ago and not only was I happy with his work, I admired his honest service. Today I reached out to David thinking I had to replace the garbage disposal at my home. He told me the disposal could be stuck and told me about about using the wrench that comes with the disposal. I gave it a shot and my disposal is working again. David could have just replaced the disposal for profit but he didn't, he saved me some money instead which I really appreciate. I will definitely call him when I have a plumbing problem because he's an honest guy. Thank you David! read more

I've worked with Dave twice and he's terrific! Always on time and profession and very polite. The first project my wife and I needed help with was a clogged drain and Dave fixed it within 5 minutes and was extremely professional and competitively priced. Today, Dave installed a new tub spout for us along with an adjustable shower head. As usual, he was on time, extremely professional and polite and got the job done quickly without any trouble. I highly recommend Samurai Plumbing for any work you need done in that area or if you're having any problems with your plumbing and just need a professional opinion. read more

I found Samurai Plumbing from Yelp for a new toilet installation and 2 under sink water pipes leaking repairs. Dave came within timeframe, prepared shoe covers for indoor, well prepared for the worksite, very detail and professional. He installed the new toilet nicely and perfectly. For the other 2 leaking water pipes, he identified the problems very quick and fixed them, very honest and professional service! We really appreciated it! I used David twice for my plumbing needs. I get it that David is a zealous Trump supporter, but I just need a plumber to do the damn job, I don't need a plumber to bring his political views into my home. Keep it to yourself and don't mix politics with your business, that's very bad practice. I find that very unprofessional, and even if he only graduated high school like he told me, he should have known better. It's not my responsibility to educate him on this, it's a common sense and good business practice that he should have known from day one. The second time, I asked for a quote, but he couldn't give me an estimate or quote until he already finished the job, and I felt very ripped off as a repeat customer, too. read more

My wife Kay was looking for a plumber to do some work in the kitchen. We had installed a new garbage disposal and couldn't stop it from leaking when we ran the dishwasher. Dave came out and found the problem was a plug that I hadn't knocked out prior to the install. He was professional, clean, wore booties to keep our floor clean. He fixed and re-installed the disposal unit and did another small job on top of it for the original quote amount. Price was very reasonable! I would recommend Dave for your plumbing needs. We had a leaky pipe outside our house where the shutoff valve, pressure reducer/regulator and hose all tie together before entering my house. Received a response within minutes. I sent a photo of the problem and a quote was returned almost immediately. A time was scheduled and we kept in touch via text. He showed up on time with parts/tools needed. We needed to contact the city to shutoff the main water which delayed things a bit. But once done, he went to work. As planned, he replaced gate valve with a ball valve, replaced pressure regulator and new hose bibb with backflow attachment thingy and leak was fixed. Price was reasonable and service was professional and timely. Would use again for sure. read more

Dave is quick to respond on Yelp and was able to come over the next day to fix a faulty dishwasher installation that was done by another plumber. Every time the dishwasher ran, water would shoot out of the air gap all over our brand new countertops. Dave immediately knew exactly what the issue was and charged a reasonable price to make sure everything was running correctly. Once the dishwasher installation was taken care of, he noticed that the garbage disposal was beginning to leak slowly. After further investigation, he recommended that it be replaced as it had gone bad. He took the time to go to Home Depot to pick up a replacement disposal and fixed that as well for a great price. Dave really knows what he is doing and you can be confident that he will provide a clean and proper solution for your plumbing issues. read more

Needed to have my clothes washer valves replaced and came straight to Yelp. I requested a price quote upfront via the Yelp request a quote feature. Most plumbers wanted to come to my house first even though I was very specific in what I needed and included a picture. David was the 3rd plumber to respond to me with a price, and since his reviews were good, I setup the repair. He showed up 15 minutes late, which is completely fine, but he took the time to let me know in advance. I appreciated that. The work looked solid, a lot of effort went into it. It looks like it was done the right way. If I could give 4.5 stars I would, that is because there was a miscommunication on the total cost. I didn't realize that when he quoted me it was on the labor only, not the parts. I didn't like that, but it's not worth taking a full star away because I don't think it was intentional. read more
