An interesting taste experience. The dish has been described as Japan's "pancake/pizza/crepe/omelette". It's made with a variety of ingredients and you can choose your favourite version & add extra ingredients at will. I had a bacon onion Okonomiyaki with cheese. It was enjoyable. Slightly salty but not too salty, lovely and savoury, with a sweet BBQ sauce to complement the bacon & onion. There was an almost pickled or vinegary flavour in there, which I believe was from the carrot. It was an interesting sensation of flavours. Seaweed, carrot, egg, onion, bacon, flour pancake, & a few other things that I'm probably forgetting. You can also opt for a chicken Okonomiyaki, seafood, beef, veggie, or even have half n half of 2 different flavours. I think give this a go... Especially anyone who's adventurous or loves savoury. You can wash it down with a hot ginger tea, soft drink, or miso soup. read more
