Wow, what an honor for me to be the 2nd person to write a review on this indoor venue…read more After 16 years of being in the spotlight, I am so surprised that first off, The Hangar has a Yelp page, and even more surprised that no one has done a review on this simple, practical, lovely venue for concerts. While we were at the OC Fair, my son purchased a single ticket just for me to go and see Breakdown, the Tom Petty tribute band. It was purchased a week before the show. They were doing a special tribute for all of his greatest songs/hits that he had throughout the years. My ticket was $30. Show started exactly at 8:15pm. I had a great seat. Section 102, Row M, Seat 17. When I got there, I couldn't find my seat. Asked one of the ushers over there to show me my seat and he had a better suggestion by telling me to sit more closer to the stage. Smart usher, so I took up on his offer. They had one of those metal folding chairs. Place was super crowded, but in a very good way. No one was in your face and the venue had almost 700 people, if not more. The energy in the venue was electrifying, magical and magnetic. I have been a fan of Tom Petty for the past 25 years when one of my neighbors would blast his music everyday on repeat.. They allow you to bring in alcohol, (beer & wine), and snacks. The sound system of the venue was spectacular, it was just perfect! Not too loud. And had 2 large TVs by the sides of the stage. Place was very clean, so were both restrooms, and the show lasted for almost 2 hours. People were even dancing by the stage. 4 security guards were close to the stage so they can protect everyone. Especially the crazy fans. May Tom Petty (RIP) and all we have now is his photos, memorabilia, CDs DVDs, and memories.. What a legend he was... Thank you all very much for this beautiful, memorable evening that was on July 29the of this year!! You can park at the OC Fair.

The seating is amazing, wherever you sit is a good view. They have really good handicap accessible seats and ramp for those who are disabled. The process to get in is easy and it's many ushers there that will help you. It's really organized and has food and good beverages to get. A good perk is that you can also bring your food or drinks inside from the fair. The ticket to the concert also included admission to the fair. It's easy access to exit and no hassle!! There is a lot of adult beverages being sold at this Amphitheater, one in each corner of the venue. The vibe was good. First time here and the place did not disappoint. Big Screens to see from a distance. Workers are attentive and respectful. They greet you and direct you to your seating area. This is all is asked for, someone to be nice with a great attitude. I will be coming here more often to watch some concerts. Being part of the OC Fair is a plus. After the concert you can go back to having fun inside the fair. Great Venue and good first-time experience.

The lobby was very clean and shiny, and the restrooms were large and clean. The theatre's interior was very beautiful and comfortable. Every comfortable seat in the theatre offers a perfect view of the stage, and the sound system was perfect. The employees were all very friendly and professional, and they assisted anyone and everyone who needed help. Though the music was a tad different from what we are used to on the radio, the performers worked hard and did a GREAT job of keeping the audience engaged and entertained.

The production of "Fences" which we attended was well produced, and directed. The staging and costumes were so well done they enhanced the overall power of the play. Not a bad seat in the house, and the stage is pretty large for a small community theater. It may be tricky to find, since they are located on the campus of a high school, but don't let that deter you. See you all next month for "Street Car Named Desire" and the following month, "The Whale" which is a great show!

It's a great place to make friends or have a cheap date night. I watch at least 2 shows a month here. If you've never seen improv before, I'd recommend watching Teacher's Lounge, which performs the first Friday of every month at 9:30pm. They invite an interesting guest to tell true stories and the performers (who all teach improv) create longer scenes based on the stories we just heard. They offer improv classes. There is a drop in class open to all levels on Wednesdays, 101 classes offered a few times throughout the year, and advanced classes. It's not all improv. I've watched drag shows, a sea shanty night, and a fictionalized beauty pageant. The theater also hosts fundraising shows to support nonprofits. They're located inside the Starlight Theater. When you enter, make an immediate left to purchase a ticket or show your online ticket. There is parking in the front and the back (off McClintock Way). The theater has two restrooms in the back.

Super funny, fast on their feet, and clearly had great chemistry. I was laughing the whole time and the games were creative and entertaining. The vibe felt welcoming and community-oriented. One small suggestion: when asking the audience for ideas, maybe give women the first chance to respond- it'd be a nice nod to the cast. Tickets were super affordable ($5 cash / $7 card [we bought ahead on Eventbrite]). Highly recommend for a fun, low-cost night out!

They allow small clutches or up to a 12x13 clear bag. Our first visit on July 4th was super busy and parking took a while because there were roads closed off, however yesterday's Star Wars concert was really easy to get into with no wait at all for parking. It's very easy to get into the venue and there were ushers showing us to our seats. The VIP section and forward middle areas were all circular tables with chairs so you can eat and drink comfortably while watching the performance. The other seats are foldout style seats in rows with cup holders. The chairs in some areas had little platforms to put your snacks. There are vendors that sell all kinds of food and drink at premium prices but that's expected at these events. There are large screens to view different camera angles of the concert if you are further back and don't have a full clear view of the stage. The sound quality was excellent and the performance was spectacular.

The parking is not far at all from the entrance and we really appreciate that. It is also not that difficult getting out after the event, which in some places it can be a total nightmare! I liked this past event, it started earlier around 4 pm, so we had lots of light and it ended around 9:30 pm. Plenty of space in the general lawn area and this time they had picnic tables and umbrellas available. Plenty of porta potties, which are gross but you gotta deal with it! The VIP area was towards the stage and they had their own restrooms and bar. Not worth the extra price to us. You can't bring your own chairs, but several people had blankets laid out toward the front area, where the General and VIP are sectioned off. There are 2 staff people standing at the entrance of VIP so you had to show your bracelet or ticket to get in. We didn't have any food but I did order a couple of Rose wines and i'm scared to see how much they cost me hahaha! I am guessing they are about $25 a piece. The Rose was really good, dry and not very sweet. The girls at the bar serving are all so outgoing and they work fast to keep the line moving. Great venue, and the Great Park is beautiful just to visit anytime.
