She has also welcomed my questions/hesitations when it comes to some Western medicine norms, and she always offers holistic and research-based advice/thoughts/diagnoses. She even met me on a Saturday (not office hours) to give my girl the last of her three-day antibiotic shots for an ugly ear infection. Personally, she diagnosed and has helped treat issues I've had for years -- that a counselor, midwife, dermatologist, and naturopath didn't catch. While it is a younger and smaller practice, I'm definitely willing to overlook a less-than-friendly receptionist who answered the phone a few times or confusion with paperwork. The care and professionalism we've received when it really counts is invaluable to me. Update (Feb 2018): she no longer has a frazzled receptionist. Leslie is always kind, warm, and welcoming! :)

Yet it was a complete let down from the moment I called to make an appointment. It was hard to get in, the woman on the phone was rude and not helpful and then my appointment was not scheduled correctly. Dr. Shelly was not any more impressive. Unfortunately, she was very impersonal, did offer a natural and holistic approach I was looking for and rushed me out of her office. I'll keep looking for someone that will offer me more than 15 minutes of their time. I wasted a $30 copay on 15 useless minutes.

In this case it was a very sore infection that was causing me a lot of pain. Prior to coming it had been around 10 years since my last doctors visit. I'm not afraid of hospitals but always try and treat myself first and give time to recover. Needless to say I would prefer to tough it out and get moving as soon as I can. My apprehension fadding quickly on my first visit. She was very thourough, understanding, and imformative. She answered my questions, gave suggestions and advise, and most importantly gave me the impression that she was here for me and wanted me to get better. Over a year later I came down with a fairly bad case of pnemonia and it really beat me up pretty bad. Went to see Dr. Sadker again and got the same passionate approach. Doctors would spend 5 to 10 minutes with me and didn't seem to care. I met Dr Grover and he spent nearly 1 hour with me - uninterrupted while we discussed my symptoms and I had a thorough examination. He ordered some tests and we DID figure it out. He never once dismissed me or rushed me. Demonstrating a true concern for his patients is an attribute of Dr Grover. I had a friend also see Dr Grover regularly and he went into the ER with a health scare. Dr Grover called him on his cell phone and walked asked to talk to the ER doctor on the phone. Ever since then - he has continued to be a great doctor and I see him on everything from my annual physical to the typical issues, bumps, bruises, and illnesses.

I am so beyond upset with how poorly I was treated here and how this place only cares about taking your money and not helping you as a patient. I was charged for every single question I asked and most of the time I was told I needed an appointment to even to ask a single question. No one calls you back. I have to call over five times to get a prescription refilled. It just feels like all they want is my money instead of genuinely trying to help me. And then when I voiced my concerns I was put down by the staff (both the doctor and the front desk). I then tried to transfer out today and Sarah Tyler refused to write a referral for me. This type of patient care is not okay and should never be allowed.
