Great subs ( grinders). Fresh baked bread, fresh veggies and the sandwiches are loaded up and not skimpy. The french fries or baked not deep-fried and very tasty. The place is not much to look at. The service is great but very matter of fact not overly friendly.

Whats missing here? Umm....the fillings!! One slice of folded meat per quarter and sprinkled toppings. The meal....a loaf of bread for $15.

Great grinders. The food was hot and tasty. Smell of fresh baked bread radiates inside

This was a really fantastic dinner at a nice small family-run Italian restaurant. The servers got…read morereally busy right after we got here, but both of them worked really hard to keep an eye on their tables. They offered bread service with herb olive oil, which was lovely. The house salad was generous with the feta cheese and croutons, and the balsamic dressing was nice and tart. My wife had the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. The pasta tasted almost homemade and the Alfredo sauce tasted like a real house made Alfredo, not something from a jar. I had the Chicken Parmigiana and asked if I could have vodka sauce on the spaghetti, just because it's one of my favorite sauces. They were happy to oblige, and it was truly delicious. Our daughter was happy with her penne noodles with butter and cheese... Lol. Hopefully at some point, she orders more than that! We will definitely be back next time we are in Kalamazoo.

We were seated at a table in a corner behind two large, round tables full of customers. Our server had a difficult time getting to us, which made it seem that he gave us the least amount of attention required. Our dinner took almost 2 hours with large amount of time between seating, drinks, appetizers, meals and checks. The appetizers were great! However, the shrimp scampi was a big disapointment. It seemed that the linguine wasnt drained well, so it was just a watery mess with no hint of flavor, especially garlic. The server never came by to see if the entrees were acceptable. I felt like I should eat it anyway because it would take forever to get a replacement. No offers of grated cheese to top the pasta, so it remained dry sitting in the water sauce. My daughter in law said the chicken marmalade was very good as was my son's beef short ribs. Sigh!

I ordered the Spicy Pork Meatballs ($16) as an appetizer. They were excellent. Not mind blowing unique, but done to a high standard. I came for the Beef Brisket Bourguignon ($36). I had heard they had a real good pot roast. Well it wasn't just really good. It was spectacular! Probably the best I've had. So tender and flavorful. The sauce with it is excellent and perfectly emphasizes the beef. The potatoes and veggies with it are all perfectly cooked also. I finished with their Chocolate Tart ($13). It was fantastic! It is chocolate to the nines. However it doesn't cross the line of being too much. The chocolate is extremely high quality and super tasty. The service was fantastic. It was super friendly and knowledgeable. Attentive without being too much. Shout out to Harrison, he was awesome. Overall one of the easiest 5 star reviews I've ever done. They are now in my top 5 places in Grand Rapids. Would I return? Lol, duh!

The chicken was old. It was dry and it tasted like dirty refrigerator. Server was pleasant enough and we wanted to make sure she knew we knew it wasn't her fault cuz some people are just jerks like that. We were turned off from the sandwich and didn't want it remade so we ordered some spinach dip. It came out so fast!! And it was. Seriously we both just cringed. The artichoke hearts weren't probably cleaned so the tough spiky bits were in the dip. But the worst part was the chips served with it. They were clearly reheated and the smell of dirty/rancid oil hit my nose before my tongue. We moved the dip around the plate to look like we ate some. Grabbed the check and ran!! Could we have talked to manager? Sure. But 2 meals out of 2 were bust we didn't want to deal with it. And given we'd sent our fist meal back we figured if a manager was interested in our experience they would have come out right away. There's so many great options in the area we don't need to go back. Hope your experience is better than ours!!

Said due to how busy they were (Memorial Day weekend) we could be out on the list until 7:00?? It was unclear what they meant but she seemed unwilling to out on the list when we called at about 5:00. Our server, Zoe was very good, well versed on the menu and was attentive but not overly so....excellent at her job. The highlight however (for me) was watching the entire hard working staff work together. It was like a finely orchestrated ballet. Most young people who worked extremely hard and never seemed to miss a beat! The owner or manager stopped by to check on us (seems rare these days) and was very friendly. I've had some amazing butternut squash ravioli at other restaurants, but Tello's recipe was the best. Savory, buttery, slightly salty which you need to cut the richness of the sauce. The fresh pasta texture was the perfect al dente, almost as if they rolled these out specifically for me when I walked in. Had a lovely sauvignon blanc as a great compliment. Parking was easy and free on a Tuesday night at 5:00pm at the back, no wait. When we left around 7:30pm, there was an hour wait. We'll be adding this destination to our trip to South Haven every summer! Note: Ordinarily I'd give this experience 4 stars, as my fork was dirty with lots of crusted cheese and there was a mistake on our bill, but my dinner was so phenomenal that it adds another star.
