I had two bathrooms remodeled and a small one built in the basement. I interviewed 4 prospects; Sam came, understood my vision, and was able to provide a great price. We discussed my vision thoroughly and Sam sent me to a couple of places that he worked with to find items I was interested in. I was able to find the materials I wanted to complete my project and then some. The workers were awesome. My lead installer was Daniel, he was more of a perfectionist than I was. He understood what I wanted and asked questions each step of the way. I loved working with Daniel and his partner 'little man'. My advice to home owners: First, know what you want. Take the time to have a vision, do not leave it all up to the contractor, especially if you are of different ethnicity, your vision will never be the same as the contractor. Second, if you can afford it, do some pre-shopping if you want specific items. One of the reasons Sam and I worked so well was because I purchased specific items I had envisioned in my bathroom. I did not leave everything up to the contractor/designer. Third, talk to the installers (workers) and Sam as the remodeling is going on. Each night take a moment to walk through the area and annotate what you do and don't like, no one is a mind reader nor can they catch everything. Forth and most important, if you receive a price, budget 10% - 15% more. Even on the HGTV shows the homeowner more often than not has to pay additional costs because you never know what will be uncovered during demo or what you will want as the renovation gets on the way. Build that buffer in, if you don't, then don't blame the contractor when the costs increases. Finally, if you have a specific taste and don't pre-shop then be prepared to see the cost rise. We have nothing but the absolute best to say about Sam's Remodeling, and their entire crew. We recently hired them to renovate our bathroom, and to say they met our expectations would be an understatement. From the beginning Sam and each member of his team were great to work with, managed our understanding of the various parts of the project, and responded to our questions in an efficient manner. The crews would arrive on time each morning, and took care to lay down drop cloths to protect our floors (and pick them up each evening before they left) before they would begin their expert work for the day. Our experience with Sam's Remodeling was very positive. You never know what will happen when you hire a contractor, and there are horror stories about some that are not reputable. Sam earned our trust and future business with this project. I appreciated his communication. He was always responsive to every phone call, text, and email, even outside business hours. He also visited the jobs frequently to make sure everything was on track and we were happy with the progress. We had a kitchen and half bath refresh, and two full baths were completely remodeled. Sam's pricing for the extensive work we had done was reasonable, and his crews did high quality work. They used masks, were polite, professional and made the work sites neat at the end of every day. I wish I had more and better pictures to share. But I didn't get a chance to get in the house after Sam's team had finished before my realtor was able to get it rented. His team did quick and great work at a reasonable price. He was able to get started quickly and followed up allowing me to identify a punch list, much of which he had found himself. He made sure the job was done well. Even after he was done, I added more items to the list in order to make sure the whole house looked as good as the areas he had worked. Work done - painted three whole house, painted the kitchen cabinets, installed kitchen hardware, replaced carpet throughout the home (4 rooms and a hall), installed new light fixtures throughout, painted 4 bathroom vanities and changed door locksets. Sam and his team completed a basement refinishing job for me after my basement flooded and needed extensive repairs. I had several contractors come in and Sam's price was less than what others wanted (and much more reasonable, although these unexpected repairs are never cheap). Sam had great communication throughout the project and even responded to my phone calls outside of normal business hours. He and his team completed the project a little earlier than he originally had projected. The fit and finish of the newly refinished area of the basement matched the rest of the basement that was not effected by the original flooding. The team did everything from new carpet, tile, paint, drywall, and even reinstalled a toilet and vanity. I never felt pressured by Sam and he was very accommodating when arranging payments for the job. Overall I recommend Sam and his team, and I will be using them again in the future. read more

Sam's cost estimate was reasonable for the scope of work that included demo exiting bathroom shower enclosure, tile and floor tile; reworking plumbing; tiling an accent wall, shower walls and flooring; painting; and installing lighting and accessories.
