    Beware! They were hired to redo all the floors in our 2 bedroom apartment. The project was…read moremismanaged throughout. The company made promises before the work began that were never followed through on, and at times the complete opposite happened. They told us it would be 4 days, it turned out to be 12. They told us they would take care of our furniture and property, there was extensive damage to furniture, walls and doors. We came in twice to check on the work and found they had left our furniture in the middle of their construction debris with their tools on it. Even after brining it to their attention the same issue was found on a separate visit. They told us they would clean when they were done, there was dust and debris everywhere, with the worst part being the entire floor was covered in adhesive. It took two days to clean, including the renting of professional equipment, which we had to do ourselves. Within the first day the flooring started to come up, turned out that in the 12 days of work they weren't able to even put the floors in correctly. They even used the wrong color trim which didn't match the floor. To add insult to injury, the owner, Sid, was not apologetic in the least for the massive inconvenience and additional expenses he caused us. The impacts of his mismanagement of this project were so significant that we are now looking at the process of taking him to court. If you do use them, know that a sales person will tell you everything you want to hear, and then not follow through on promises made. A project lead will come the first day to meet with you, and then never be heard from again. It seems this person simply meets the crew that are hired for the project, and then lets them go at it. Nothing we discussed with him on that day was followed through on. From the faulty work and damage, it seems they hired workers who were not experienced. They left the apartment in a terrible state. We got a call that they were done, and it turned out what happened was that without anyone from the company coming to check on the work, these laborers just left knowing what a terrible job they did. The project lead was nowhere to be seen. So after 12 days in a hotel, 8 more than the 4 they promised, all coming out of my pocket, after having to take off of work because the end date they provided was false, after cleaning adhesive off the entire floor, walls, and doors, after removing dust and debris from every corner and crevice over 2 days, after moving back in to an apartment that was worse than we left it, after needing to call in repair people to attend to the damaged furniture, the owner of this company thinks he doesn't owe us anything for the inconvenience and cost he caused my family. Beware!

Khan from 111 Carpets did call back, said he would be glad to accommodate me (it saves hauling it to the dump), told me where to pick it up (jobsite), and helped me load it into my car. The carpet is not fancy but it met my needs, and the price couldn't be better: free! Of course, my house interior needs better carpet than that and when I need it I will call Khan again. He treated me well.

We figured out what carpet we wanted, and then started shopping around for the lowest price. We tried Costco's contractor. We tried Empire. We tried Luna. We tried Lowe's. We tried Home Depot. And then we tried 111Carpets. BINGO!!! Here are the benefits: *They are primarily a shop-at-home service, but they do have a showroom open by appointment. Which means, you can shop however YOU prefer. (We opted for the in-home, similar to Empire or Luna.) *There is absolutely NO pressure to sign a contract on the spot (unlike with Empire or Luna). * They listen to the customer. The gentleman who came to our home was incredibly knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted, and didn't try to persuade us that we wanted anything other than what we told him we wanted. *NO SUBCONTRACTORS. *No crazy waits while your carpet gets ordered like with Lowes or Home Depot, or many of the other smaller shops. *Added benefit of having a local company to call in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong. Having local service is SO important. 111Carpet also has an A+ from the BBB. *They were able to beat the lowest price we had gotten. If I EVER need flooring ever again, regardless of how big or small, I will only make one phone call. To 111Carpets.

    Very disappointed by the recent customer service experience. Most often times I do business with…read morebusinesses or individuals based on their character, their personality, their CUSTOMER SERVICE! From some of the reviews, it appears to be a missed opportunity so where do I begin. I can recall as a junior enlisted service member my senior leadership stated, you are as successful as the subordinates you lead. Remember Top - Down. This reminded to that as I made it through the ranks to take care of my subordinates but it made me reflect on me leading the led. So it pains me to to write this review; that the worse customer service I experienced was from leadership team members of Choice Floors. Such a disregard to implement positive customer relations has significantly tarnished my perception of the company. It was the constant lack of empathy and management's unwillingness to listen that was most frustrating. Every time I tried to express my dissatisfaction, I was talked over and told how I was trying to change the company's policy which I found not only accusatory but offensive. Offensive, as this was an attack of my character and this supervisor has never met me or allowed me an opportunity to express my concerns in regards to what may well been a miscommunication in the payment terms. It felt like my concerns were not being heard or respected. Understanding this is a business, fostering good working relationships to render service for future prospects and productivity quintessential, however, when a member is not in agreeance with an upset customer, gets combative, spend time time spewing judgment while trying to prove them wrong instead of finding resolve and de-escalated the problem sets esprit de corps of the company back as the consumer has lost trust in the company's capability to be trustworthy. But why does it matter, as I was told this is just my opinion by said supervisor. While this may have started as a potentially good experience, the customer care of both the Retail Sales Manager and the Director Internal Operations left such a disdain image for this company that I could not let this lack of professionalism in customer care go unnoticed. It was very unsettling to be going back and forth over the phone with a business professional with such an elevated title.     Update on my Original Review: AVOID at ALL COST…read more.. (UPDATE on my ORIGINAL REVIEW) The owner called me to discuss the EXTREMELY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE we had, and the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE provided by his employees. I appreciated his personal outreach, and was gracious enough to give them another chance. During the "2nd Chance Visit", his carpet estimator was incredibly rude to my female tenant, made it seem like he was doing her a favor to show-up, and verbally CURSED AT MY FEMALE TENANT. She became afraid and asked the carpet estimator to leave because she felt unsafe. I respect & appreciate the OWNER for trying to make things right, but if this is the caliber of employee that his company hires, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. It is 1,000% UNACCEPTALBE for a service provider that has been invited into someone's home to curse at a woman. UNACCEPTABLE. District Floor Depot WILL NOT be getting my business, and I hope that no consumer supports this type of behavior by doing business with them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this company. Go to a reputable company that appreciates & values its customers and their time. I would not accept free carpet from them at this point. INTEGRITY MATTERS.
