Not the best prices I've seen but not unreasonable. The staff were very helpful in checking to see if they can get hold of some rarer bottles. They have a nice selection of store picks as well, and seem to highlight everything from Jeppson's bourbon with different finishes (not talking Malort) to high end Barrell and Nashville Bottling Co offerings. There are some nice sales as well that are very tempting. Besides bourbon, a very nice single malt section. When I was there, there was a lively crowd at the bar talking world politics....interesting but the liquor they were consuming clearly didn't help them make salient points. I have been to this location three or four times, and in all my visits, I received good service. The store was clean, the staff members were friendly and helpful, and the prices were not bad at all. I like the variety they have. If I am not pressed for time, then I do take my time browsing through the different variety of beverages they have even if I am not buying some of those items. I emailed the…read morefollowing to Binney's Beverage Depot customer support: Dear Tech(s): In the current economic climate (resulting from the COVID inflation), everyone is stressed to their limits and watching their pennies. This being the case, your shopping experience could be much better--and I know that you can do it because the Peapod company was able to do it. First--for all applicable wet and dry products, please add a line of code for "price per ounce"--not quart, package, etc. (for company input and consumer readout). This gives all products a level playing field so that consumers can know "cost per value" as they make their choices. For those on a budget--which is just about everyone these days--they need to make sure that they get the best product that their budget allows. Second, you need to work on your Search coding. Primarily, add a "price per ounce" search option with "low/high" options. Secondarily, you need to tighten up your search fields and expand the choices. I tried a search on "sugar free mixers" and had to scroll through flavored vodkas, regular mixers containing sugar, etc. EXAMPLE: a search option that will only produce "sugar free" results would be awesome for up to 60% if your customers. (Women 50% generally want lower calorie drinks; plus at least 10-15% of the US population is diabetic or pre-diabetic.) Regarding the 10-15% diabetics, they can imbibe CAREFULLY: They need to count the carbohydrates of each food/drink they ingest. "Pure Alcohol" is a "fat" which doesn't negatively impact a diabetic unless overdone. Therefore, it's very important to include any "nutrition information panel" on every product. As a consumer, I want to be able to input what I want, get on-point results, and be able to sort them based on "price per ounce" (just like the tags on the store shelves). Honestly, since the Peapod company was able to do this with their mobile app, I see no reason that you can't implement the same professionalism in your app. I sincerely hope that you can take your app from the dark ages into the 21st century. I felt like at Foremost Liquors, I was welcomed with open arms. The guys up front saw me looking through the craft brews and launched into telling me all about some different breweries and making recommendations. I told them about a couple of beers I have been specifically hunting for & they gave me their opinions on them, plus told me about beers with similar tastes that they thought were better. Foremost Liquors carries a ton of Pipeworks 22 ozs which I loved going through. To see exactly what they are carrying at any given point, check out their list on BeerMenus. The store itself was very clean, organized well, plenty of parking right out front (so you don't have to carry the liqs all over creation!) and as I said the service was stellar. Top all that off with them carrying some hard to find, sought after craft beers plus their competitive pricing and it makes for a liquor store that is going to go into my regular rotation!

There are not many of these little stand alone small liquor stores anymore. So this place has a sweet spot in my heart and when I'm in the area I try to patronize them. This place always has a ton of parking, so you won't have to worry about searching for a spot. The staff is always friendly and are really fast at getting customers out the door. The owners are even hip and use Belly, as a rewards program. I typically do not see Belly outside of Chicago. I'm sure many Gurnee people are not into Belly but its a good feature. They also sell lottery tickets here. Hopefully I'm lucky tonight. I always try buying my tickets in the burbs cause you never ever hear about anyone from Chicago winning the lottery. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. So you can't go wrong here between the liquor and the gambling. It's like Vegas without the indoor smoking or airplane ride. Although on the rare note, they do have a great selection of craft beers, and often get in some special editions as well! The staff are awesome too! They have helped me select wines and champagnes for holiday times when I didn't know what to choose. They are kind and cheerful. Not just some old grumpy guy behind the counter who hates his job; this place is nice and has a nice atmosphere. If you often drive further to go to some large liquor stores, try these guys out; they probably have what you need, and you will save some gas money!
