This is a terrible Sam's. The entrance/exit for the parking lot has to be one of the worst designed in the history of Sam's/Walmart. Our visit today? Empty shelves. All of the soft drink fountains were out of service. You got a room temperature canned drink. Not even a cup f ice to pour it in. The trash cans were overflowing. Trash was sitting on the tables. Napkins were out. . Once this year runs out, it's back to Costco. read more

Let me tell you. It's lunch-break hour on a Friday and Sam's has got a whopping 4 gas lanes out for the count. The design of this gas station looks like somebody skipped basic design class. A big grass median cuts off half the lanes so there is only one way in- creates a lot of unnecessary traffic. Not to mention the clientele. Got cut off by 3 cars, including a Nissan Juke. Might have to start looking into a Costco membership. read more

The Online Order/Pickup at this location is terrible at times. This is a copy of a complaint I emailed to Sams Customer Service. It is 7:53 pm. I am standing in the Sams club located on Winchester Ave, Memphis TN. I waited in my car after checking in for more than 25 minutes. Then I called the number listed in the app to request my order be brought out. 10 minutes later I went into the store to request my order. That was 7 minutes ago and I still do not have my order. I requested a manager and no one came to assist. Now at 7:58 it appears I may be getting my orders. 8:05 I have my orders and at 73 years old, recovering from knee replacement surgery, I have to take my order to my car and load it myself. No apology, no visible concern from any employee. I just thought you should know. As of yet I have not received any response. read more

We try to look for a Sam's when traveling because they usually have the best prices on fuel in the area. It was very true today as the price for regular was $2.31, which was about $.20 less than any station we saw this morning. I was recently in Sam's Club, Bartlett, Tn. in the tire shop. I noticed the bench had been removed, and so i questioned what happened to it. I was told Corporate came in and told them to remove it. Now, any rationale thinking person knows that was done to force people to walk around and shop, thereby spending more money. Well, if these greedy non-caring folks were actually decent people, they would know that many of their customers are senior citizens. What 60-70 year old wants to walk around the store for several hours while work is being done on their vehicle. ​I often say that many of these folks sitting behind a desk, making decisions, don't have a clue. This is by far the worst Sam's club I have ever been to. The staff get paid to do nothing there the girl checking my carts out did not want to count anything on my carts. Then when I asked for help with my carts I had 2 they told me to ask the lady when she was checking my receipt. So I did weighted for 30 min asked agin and no one shows up to help. I unloaded 2 flat bed carts by my self while the Sams club employees that are supposed to help just sat and watched me. Other customers that were going in and coming out of Sam's offered to help me. This place is a joke. I will not come back here if I have to drive 50 miles I will go to another Sam's club. You might just drop dead waiting for someone to help you at this location. read more

Worst experience in Sam's. From out of town. Total disarray at checkout - no floor walking manager present. Covid squares on floor lead directly to end cap and line snaked around in dissaray - people were frustrated and confused with no assistance. Additional squares are needed and need to angle into aisle area since checkout was ten deep even in self serve area. Do better. We left our items and walked out. read more

For starters, there is no drive up /pickup kiosk(Like at the Southaven location) near the building. You will have to go inside to the middle of the warehouse. Secondly, customer service is a joke! Nobody was at the service desk. I stood there for over 10 minutes waiting until I finally flagged a cashier down to get someone. Not one associate even stopped/asked if I needed assistance?? Mind you, I am standing right in front of the checkout cashiers! When I give the associate my name, the first order could not be found. Once they found my first order, the second order was incomplete and I had to wait longer for someone to get my other missing items(Why send a completed order email when that is not the case). Finally, to top off this terrible experience, the receipt does not print at the pickup cage(prepaid) but you must go to the customer service desk line at the front of the store to get it in order to leave the store! I won't be coming back here for a while. Associates here don't seem to have basic customer service experience and incompetency appears high. It is extra unfortunate that this Sam's is located just a couple of blocks from a Costco. I use Costco a lot, but I got a cheap Sam's membership from a Groupon. I figured I would give Sam's a try. Ordered groceries for pickup. I got my pickup time for a few days later which is understandable during our covid19 days. I was supposed to pick up my order between 2-3. I arrived about 2:20 and found out I had to go in to the pitch up desk which I did. Order wasn't ready and she couldn't tell me when it would be. She did say that it was being picked. To shorten the next events, after a long wait I made several calls to customer service and even spoke to a manager. Ordered a slice of pizza, and they said it would be 4 minutes, which is totally fine. But 15 minutes later, I can literally see the pizza that is done cooking sitting on the back counter. My wife and I were shopping here today and yes it was very busy because it was Sunday. The store was very clean and uncluttered and I was able to find everything I needed very easily. They had their in store food vendors stationed throughout the store and it's hard to go by them without sampling their food. And yes you always end up buying items that you didn't go shopping for. Although the store is well stocked most of the time, there is a lack of experience among the workers. There is no one in this store who can answer a question without having to ask someone else. That is a small problem and could be alleviated with mandatory group training. I have been there near closing time and all of the cashiers shut down, leaving only one or two cashiers to help a long line of customers who are finishing up their shopping. I have been to this store twice this week, and each time I get a cash register receipt that is non legible. Honestly, 1 star is too much.. I have shopped at this place for years and I have to say this relationship is coming to an end!!!! The quality of the fruits and veggie have gone down tremendously!!! I had my shopping list mapped out. This saved me a lot of time. Now you have to look all around because they want to play hide and seek with the merchandise in the middle of the night... (WHY) Not good for a busy person like me.. my time is limited!!! The service is AWFUL!!! it used to be, if there were more the 4 people in line someone would come around with a scanner and scan your items which made the lines move even faster. ZERO STARS!!!! AVOID the TIRE AND BATTERY CENTER at all costs!!! I bought a set of tires from there a few months ago with an extended warranty. Just the other week, my tire went flat and I took it over to the tire center to get it fixed. They told me were going to have to order a new tire, and it is all covered under the warranty. They also said it will not take more than 5 business days. Well 5 business days roll by and I have not heard a word from them. I call over there to see the status of the tire, and Sams club had no clue what I was talking about. I asked to speak to the manager of their department and I found out he was the one who took my order. I asked to speak to the store manager. After taking down my name and phone number, he assured me he would take care of everything and would call me to follow up in the next day or so. Two weeks later, I am still waiting for his call.
