I also think they learned to lean into viral items because that's a lot of what I saw in the ready made items. I'm not mad about it because they aren't that bad! I got the new protein pasta to try out and it was actually very tasty. Another thing I tried that was viral was their French onion soup that can be made in the microwave. It took many years for me to even be able to tolerate a Costco or Bj"s shopping excursion. As time has passed I've come to appreciate buying some items in bulk like lawn and leaf bags, pet food, paper goods, gardening supplies, gasoline etc. It took even longer for me to try their fast food concessions while leaving the stores. Costco scares me. Still remember getting allergic to a hot dog 10 years ago in Riverhead from a costco hd. They all make rotisserie chicken. So for grab and go - if you cant wait to get home and cook or going out - sometimes it's easy to grab a slice of pizza and a drink. Usually I just keep going and don't even consider. Sam's is by far the best slice of pizza or hotdog by far - enough so the pizza is actually good. In a dominos, costco kind of way.. they are tops. Much nicer check out systems than Costco. We have memberships at BJ'S and Costco, My wife wanted to try this store out. It seems bigger that Costco and BJ's , more selection, prices are just about the same on some items, They do carry Pedigree in bulk packages, and when you have a few dogs that's a big deal!! She also liked the bakery cupcakes!!, I liked the fresh sushi made while you watch. Wear good walking shoes, I don't know if its bigger than the other two stores we go to but my legs sure felt that way. If you have the app a receipt is sent to your email, loved it. read more

I recommend Sam's Club for everything except fresh produce - which seems to always have mold in the middle. Due to convenience I usually try to remove the bad apple or berries, oranges, grapes & so on. So this is mainly about the rotisserie chicken that is a hot ticket item. Drive a little further and pay a little extra for a Costco membership. Store is hot garbage from top to bottom. And definitely don't bother coming here to return bottles unless you have an hour to spare. Sam's needs a limit as to how many bottles someone can return at a time. There's ALWAYS a line and it's usually one person/family tying up all of the machines. The ones that are not out of order, anyway. The family in front of me had returned 122 bottles and counting. I feel lucky to live close by. I do most of my shopping here. The store has made many improvements, especially the new scanning machines at the door that cut down waiting time to exit the store by a LOT. I tried Costco and hated it - too much processed high carb food - Sam's Club offers lots more fresh food options. Great deal on Keto bread, too. Online cyber deals were pretty impressive this year. Unfortunately, the same older woman is still harassing me at the door whenever I come in. I happened to be on the phone and she is very rude and sarcastic. Are you running a jail or a store that is welcoming to customers? I am getting tired of my interactions with this rude older woman. I am never showing her my card. She doesn't ask anyone else for theirs but mine. I use mine to check out at the register and I have been a member for years. She is on a power trip at the front door. I'm shocked she still has a job speaking sarcastically to customers the way she does. I won't be spoken to like that however. Enrollment at member services was courteous and professional on my first day of membership. Variety of merchandise in store plus there was plenty of help on the floor. Checkout was smooth and pleasant. The one complaint I had was in the Food court. The one "gentleman" I encountered behind the counter was rude and unprofessional. I could overhear his rantings about customers. He was clearly disgruntled and angry and my children felt threatened. We left the store on a bad note as a result. First off I'll say my family LOVES the scan and go convenience in the app, how it's easily to navigate the store and get what you want and how friendly the staff are the cheaper prices of products and wide variety. Our only complaint is that the hours are not nearly long enough. Cafe closes at either 6 or 7PM and should really stay open til like 9PM also the store closes at 8 and should stay open til 10PM considering the competition Costco is open til nearly 9PM and til 10PM! If Sam's to could extend store hours til at least 9 or 10PM this would be an easy 5 star review. read more

I love Sam's Club! Being that I am from the city, I've grown up shopping/visiting Costco quite often but found that their variety and sales are not as good as Sams Club. I love that Sams Club gives us the "plus" option where we can get free online delivery and other perks such as cash rewards for their customers. I visit Sams Club almost every week to stock on groceries. All the workers there are more than happy to help you find certain things, especially when they move things around. I also find the Sams Club is decently priced and has really good sales. With the pandemic going on, all Sams Club employee and customers are required to wear masks. They provide gloves and disinfectant wipes to their customers. They also encourage contactless check out, which is pay on phone and they will scan QR code at the end to check on the purchases made. I think it is very well organized plan and I feel safe coming to Sams Club. I am definitely going to stay as a Sams Club member for a very long time :) read more

My husband, myself and my daughter in law shopped. For the 1st time at Sam's club in Medford. We purchased 2 watermelons, 1 cantaloupe that tasted like it was soaked in some types of mchemical made us very sick !! dNot to be so descriptive but we all had diarrhea that was like loose like water! My husband got really sick with a fever hot and cold sweats. Not only that one of the watermelons we purchased my husband I brought for my 77 yr old father in law. Who doesn't live with us experienced the same problem! I myself am a cancer patient. It was so bad I now have to purchase a new mattress, replace the bed spread and sheets. only wish you could give zero stars. i signed up for the club, they charged my credit card. sent me an email saying 1 item shipped to my address with a picture of the membership card. i go into the account, it says it shipped. 6 months goes by. NO CARD. even though the "order" says "SHIPPED" and has a picture of 1 single item. no products, just the card. i call to ask why i cannot use the club, but they charged me, and they say that you have to go into the club to "get" your card... but they wont refund me for the 6 months that I could not use the club. never again with sam's club. read more

Went to Sam's bought tires, waited for them, and made an appointment for the following day. I come in the morning and accidentally forgot my membership card at home.... I tell the guy at the desk he claims that I need a membership card on me for them to place the tires that I had already paid for.... And on top of that the guys tells me that I haven't paid for my tires.... That through me off and I told him do I really need my membership card and he said yes... what bothered me was that there was no attempt to fix the problem and as well of being accused of not paying for the tires. I have been in quarantine for 14 weeks. First time out I place an order that I had to pick up. To be honest, I was only comfortable doing it because I thought it was curbside. Well it wasn't. So I go in with a full mask, face shield and gloves. The employees don't wear their masks correctly. They have them underneath their noses. That's not ok. I kept having to tell them that they weren't wearing their masks correctly. It has happened 2 more times since. They could easily be fined and/or shut down! I'm all done with them! read more

I can't believe the negative reviews here. Anyone that complains about the lines should have the Scan and Go App or shop early or late in the day. The customer service has always been friendly. I have the Plus Membership with the Sam's World Credit Card. The amount I spend pays for the membership and more as I get 5% cash back for the least expensive gas. I get 3% cash back for travel and earring out. I will say it's silly that you only get 1% cash back for the Sam's Credit card by shopping there. I use another credit card when I shop at Sam's. I have been a member for 2 1/2 years and love it. The fruits and vegetables are good and reasonably priced. I shop for mostly healthy organic food and the prices are good. This store is far and away Superior to the competition. always fully stocked, the floor people are always available and happy to assist and the Customer Service Desk is always manned with at the very least 2 staff members and frequently 3. I Purchased a membership (My first one), used my own credit car. I placed an order (My bank declined the transaction). I talked to my bank and straightened things out but Sam's revoked my membership just because one transaction was declined. This is stupid and on top of that the Customer Care rep told me they don't have to explain anything. Seems like they are doing their best not to sell. I have been a Member since it opened many years ago. I like their Meat better than BJ's and Costco. Sam's prices are excellent and I still find a great selection. Costco is the most expensive of all Box Stores. You can find shelves pretty much filled however their prices are at least 30-40% higher than they were a month prior! The other day I passed the gas station that I have used for years. When I passed the price was $4.04 a gallon, An hour later I passed the same station again only to see the gas was increased to $4.14 !! What the heck is going on? This is bizarre. 6 years ago we were self sufficient with fuel. We were growing all our foods that could be grown that we needed. Where did our supplies go? I see with my own eyes, I listen to the lies. There is a severe problem ! We were self sufficient with fuel BEFORE we got rid of the pipeline. I love the scan and go app. No more waiting in long lines. I can see the price of each item & see my total bill before I pay. If I want to keep the bill down, I can just put something back and take it off the bill. The receipts are all saved on my app, so if I have to return anything the receipt is right there. Went to customer service and they insisted on a shipping form that came with it. When pressed, they continued to insist. I've never reviewed Sam's (Members Only)? Really?? REALLY?? Regardless, the Walmart affiliation really shines through here, with rockbottom pricing coupled with rockbottom service.
