I had an order that was suppose to be ready early in the day. they told me it would be ready at 5:30... their busy time. I drove almost 2 hours away to retrieve said item. and two ladies possibly the managers was just sitting in the office socialiIng and said they couldn't get to it when there are two perfectly able bodies to get it. She said she wouldn't get it until they close and other employees said nobody wanted to get it until then. Lazy Now the pick up guys was working. they did good but don't order anything from here because they don't care at all. I had to drive all the way without my order. read more

I literally just came in for a quick lunch. Unfortunately, it was during peak hours. The line was very long, and when I finally made it to the cashier register to order, the guy rang me up wrong and got upset thinking I didn't tell him the correct amount of pizza slices I needed. He did make up by just letting me "have the slice" since they were busy. Other than that, tasty, cheap food to-go. I especially like their hotdog combo plus, Sam's Club has the sauerkraut condiment packets read more

This location is close to work for me. I make the occasional stop here just to see what's in stock and grab quick items on the way home from work. I was able to find a deal they had advertised for an exercise bike that stated it was sold out online and in stores at this location. I had also purchased some kid faces from this location a month ago and came back and they were marked down for almost half off. My location did not have the same deal. It pays to shop at both locations. This Sam's club is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Sam's Club 1801 Windsor Square Dr Matthews, NC 28105 (Review 466 overall, 10 of 2021) read more

The cafe has the best pizza. Perfect for the entire family at a great price. My 4 year old cannot go in this location without asking for pizza. The ladies who work the cafe are so nice and personable too. read more

Absolute worse sams I've never been to. Customer service is a joke. They are rude. They don't answer their phones. Going to Costco!

This is a good location on this one. The parking was actually ok . The lines were moving and the were pretty stocked the meat was ran through but I did get there later in the day. read more

Awful visit. Dark, dank warehouse. Unappealing vibe inside, rather unkept. Picked up a few items, went for food after self checking out, (hot dog and a slice) and nothing to be found at 6:40pm ?? Lady said rudely, obviously all sold out while only other employee ignored me when I asked, are you closed ?? What the heck ?? Never again, Costco much better in all categories read more

I've been to the big 3 warehouse stores in our area but I always find myself coming back to Sams. I think it's similar to why I keep going back to Walmart. It's comfortable, familiar and I know I'm getting a good price. Big ups to the Matthews location for having a clean restroom. Seems simple but past experience has shown me otherwise. I'll be back! read more

Sam"s Club in Matthew NC is now a self check out store. If you want to go into a store and spend money and have great customer service DO NOT go here. I have been a club member for quite a few years now but after my last 2 trips to this store I will be changing my membership to either BJs or Costco! So no more self check out for me because I'm not employed by them ! read more

Bought the Beautiful Pack of 8 cupcakes to celebrate my moms birthday , she passed but we still celebrate in her honor. I always see these cupcakes, they have 4 different flavors , strawberry, lemon, coconut and vanilla all filled with cream cheese. Well let's just say they only look beautiful. The taste is awful. Was very disappointed Totally embarrassed that I served these. And I noticed that only a bite was taken out of 3 (strawberry, coconut & the one with chocolate shavings on it) I can only assume they didn't like it either ‍ read more

My wife heard this was a good way to save money (buying in bulk). We went and asked customer service for the "One Day Pass" (still offered on the internet to this day) for new customers interested in becoming members... We were told "No, that must be something we offered in the past." So... we couldn't get the "one day pass" and had to get the membership. We got a hard sell (from Austin) for the more expensive membership. I did my homework so when he didn't mention the cheaper one - I did it for him. We got the cheaper one and signed up while Austin awkwardly flirted with my lady (I had a good laugh at Sam's Club boy trying to be suave). Anyway, I think Wal-Mart is fine... unless you own a restaurant or something. We'll use it sometimes since we paid for it... we probably should have walked away but whatever. read more

Absolutely the worst Sam's Club ever! it was time to renew my card. I went through the checkout line and paid for my renewal then went to start my transaction for my purchases and it declined my card saying I need to renew it. I waited 53 minutes at the customer service desk and went through four different employees, including a manager, who could not even do an override and correct the mistake that was on their end. when someone was actually able to assist me, I asked for them to refund my money for my renewal and chose to take my business to Costco. There I find completely stocked shelves with items that stay in the same place. I find friendly team members who are actually trained to help and assist customers. Everything always happens for a reason and no matter the fact of how mad I was that I had to wait for so long and deal with all that unprofessionalism at Sam's wholesale, I am such a happy customer at Costco now. read more

So they are out of a product. The pull tag/card is still on the shelf. We go thru the line, pay for it, give the card to the front end manager. She goes to the cage,,,oops they are out. Then why is the card still on the sales floor? Why is there no sign saying we are out of stock? Dumb vacant dull eyes gaze past me and the empty headed response is... "its store policy that we cant do either of those things. I would bill them for the 30min. of time they wasted of mine... They don't get it... I was advised to please chase down an employee then wait while they verify that the item is in stock prior to my purchase... Silly people..... Thats why they are #2 in this market...(that might be a metaphor) read more

Big store with discounted foods in large quantities. It's like a larger Walmart on steroids. Some good deals when there are instant savings. Plenty of parking, but lots stay full. It's like everyone shops here. Love the sample stations, but at this place they seem to run out often. It helps to try items I always end up finding something new I didn't know about and end up enjoying it. I skip the cashiers station by using the "you scan". Not sure about customer service because only interaction I have is when I walk out and they highlight my receipt. The food at the eatery in the front of the store comes in large portions and is pretty decent. Not my favorite warehouse shopping place, but it gets the job done. read more

Horrible place to work and shop. The managers walk around and don't speak say hello. Not to mention the language is horrible.Every sentence has the f work in front and the tight jeans and way they dress is horrible. The way they treat and talk to employees is horrible. They lie to members and employees and two of them you see walk around togather every time I'm in there or was.Thats store has changed.I will shop online or go to another store before I step foot in that store. read more

we were shopping and paying scan and go and we get stopped for having "too many items" and they made us take everything out of our cart and scan some items were going to pay for with a different card and she made us go to the register instead of doing self checkout which already done and it was only like 4 items left to scan she would not listen to us we were saying paying most of our stuff on scan and go honestly never been so offended in my life never coming back again also terrible employees read more

One of the worst clubs ever!!!! I can't even believe the horrendous in-store customer service, and on the phone. Was simply asking for my sign on credit of $20 in GC form, when I signed up 4 months ago. Bjs wholesale club is so much better, cleaner, organized, and stocked, also friendlier employees. My simple thing is you honor your promo when I sign up. Dont shrug you shoulders and look at me like I'm clueless. People stay away from this monstrosity. If you want horrible customer service from the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out go here. Management does not train or care about simple customer service. I don't like this Sam's Club. There's always only one cashier and sometimes I have to pay with cash. Then the lady checking receipts likes to hold up the line. Actually counting every single item even with full baskets. That's just crazy to me. read more

I've been a member of the Sam's Club in Matthews, NC since they opened @33 yrs ago. Since the change of management a few years ago, customer service has taken a nose dive in so many ways. Inflexibility, rudeness and the arrogance/attitude of the managers does not inspire me to continue as a member. I'm pretty sure they could care less. A little kindness and flexibility would go a long way to not make customer service an oxymoron at the Matthews Sam's Club. read more

We came there to get a membership and the 3 young workers there were very impolite and very rude. I was right in front of the 2 lady's and one young man (they looked as if they were in there twenty's) answered the phone to a women and there response was very shocking, they put her on hold and I heard the young girl say to the young man worker "This lady is so stupid, she asked if we can come to her house and do air conditioning" and the man worker said "just yell at her and tell her that she needs to be less stupid and call Morris Jenkins" I am very shocked and very disappointed. I wish I asked for there names but I know that one of the girls in the gang had red hair, glasses, and pink acrylic nails. I wish I didn't but a membership honestly. Please improve, Thanks read more

On Saturday I ordered some groceries from the Matthews Sam's Club and they were delivered by an "Instacart" employee. She called and told me to come outside (was at wrong address) and get my stuff because she wasn't bringing it to the door even though that's part of their service. When I objected, she hung up, threw my groceries into a yard, 3 houses down and left and then texted me saying go get your F'n stuff. This was in the middle of a torrential rainstorm. I called Sam's Club 5 times, 2 times I was told that they don't deliver and I had the wrong store. After I educated the desk staff on the third call, they put me on hold for 22 minutes and no one called back until the next day. Instacart did refund my money but were not willing to identify the employee or say if she would be terminated. Sam's Club manager later offered a $50 gift card. It was an all-around terrible experience and the whole ordeal showed that Sams Club never informed their employees of the new service and partnership with Instacart and Instacart didn't really did not care about what the employee did or having good customer service. read more

Ahhh Sam's Club. Not my first choice for warehouse shopping but they do have things that the other club doesn't. My biggest complaint is that customer service is seriously lacking at this location. Been 20 years since I've signed up and back to this Sam's club and totally disappointed. Unfortunately, this Brand of Walmart is sorely lacking in leadership and lost opportunity to keep up with the Warehouse leader Costco. The place is dark, untidy, and dated, self checkout doesn't work as well and slows the checkout process. Employees are not happy and it shows Lacking customer support and not enough staff on floor to assist. read more

I read all the reviews-good and bad. I am sure there are isolated incidents in which the staff does not handle things well. That happens in all stores. For me, trying to call in by phone is the most frustrating. However, I realized long ago that Sam's is a warehouse store. It is not meant to be the same as a high end grocery store where, incidentally, the prices are a lot higher. I see people standing around doing nothing in those stores, as well. I also see plenty of Sam's employees working their butts off. People I have interacted with almost always are pleasant. I use the tire center quite a lot and always come away having received good service. I have also seen customers in the store with bad attitudes. Don't like waiting at the exit while they check the items in your cart? Use the online shopping app. It works very well. I am sure the incidents of theft are high. They have to check. read more

yeah, I shop there a couple times a month for specials, DVDs, Meat, especially milk and Prescription Drugs. I don't like the fact that you have to buy more than you need on some items and their prices are not always the lowest, but they usually have a good deal on coffee ( I am not particular), frozen Pizza, Paper products, and some clothing items. But the real deal is: HOT DOGs in their food court are the one item I really like. They are extra large and beefy, bigger then the bun and are provided with a 24 oz drink for only $1.50. The only draw back is you can only get mustard or catsup to put on them. However, they are great with just mustard. I sometimes when I am in the area just stop by for lunch! read more

Order tires online and was literally lied about when they came in. I called to check up on the order on Sunday but couldn't contact anyone. So I waited called on Monday and spoke to Tasha. She says they have not even come in yet and wouldn't know if they came in. I said my online tracking said the club has received the order. She says ok let me check the back. Guess what my tires have been sitting their the whole time. So I show up on Sunday to get the tires on my car and they refused to put them on because I lost two lug. It's when I was changing my tire with the donut. I wanted to speak to a manager and Tasha comes back to say actually the tires where being delivered the same time I called to check. Lol am I'm stupid or something? I'd call her out that she just lied to me and she just gives me a smug look like what are you going to do about it white boy. I speak to another manager named Diane who was literally no help at all and was very confused and condescending. I ask for Tasha to apologize to me for lying but she said she would have to investigate like this was the attorneys general office.
