Overall, it's okay. Many times when I arrived to pick up online orders, the number of parking spots was not enough and therefore I had to wait for people to drive away their parked vehicles. For a lot of times, people parked there did not have online orders to pick up but just parked there because of shorter walk to the store. read more

This review is like all over the place, Just sharing my love hate for Wally World elite Club. I only come here for the fresh croissants for my breakfast sandwiches. The only thing that Sam's top Costco at is they at times with have an actual florist. You can find some items, that's not in bulk like blue bell ice cream, which I was surprise to see. But I rather purchase that from Kroger way better deal than a membership place that should have the best deals. I find more Con's than pro's. I will say the membership here is worth the price I paid. $14 dollars, the same of the box combo from Cane's. I wouldn't even get gas from Sam's. For the most part, I try my best to stay out of all Wally world's and Sam's. However Sam's was consistently in my DM's offering me a membership, I was ignoring at first, I mean, I haven't had a relationship with Sam's in over 12 years. Our relationship (my membership) ended before I relocated across the country, and Sam's was no longer local of me. That's when I made a commitment to Costco. Truth is, with Sam's persistence, and the next consist discount, that's greater than the last, I gave in. I rekindle the flame, to see what they were up to. And it seem it was not improvements. The membership cards no longer have photos of you, yet they capture a photo of you. It's not featured on your membership card though. and they plan to go away with the physical cards altogether. Fifteen years ago, I bought a house close to Costco. At the time, Costco stock was around $30 a share, and today it trades near $1000. Many employees have done very well, and Costco has become almost a meme stock. Back then, checkout was fast because cashiers handled it all. Today, however, Costco has shifted heavily to self checkout, and employees do not always help. On top of that, you now must scan your Costco ID when entering, and each item at checkout is still manually checked against your receipt. Fifteen years ago, I also visited Sam's Club. At that time, the store felt disorganized compared to Costco, so I did not return. But about a year ago, I decided to give Sam's another try and what a change. What I love most about Sam's now is the convenience. You walk in freely without being hassled, grab your items, and use the Scan and Go app as you shop. You scan each product as it goes into your basket, and when you are done, you simply walk out. No long lines, no receipt check, no wasted time. The technology confirms your purchase instantly. On top of that, Sam's rewards you with cash back every billing cycle, while Costco only distributes theirs once per year. Today, I still carry both memberships, but Sam's has become my number one choice. The Sam's on Katy Freeway is my go to location, and I genuinely enjoy shopping there far more than Costco. If, like me, you wrote off Sam's years ago, I encourage you to give it another try. You will be surprised at how far it has come. read more

Love this Sam's Club. The location isn't the easiest to get to which is why it's probably so low key and rarely busy. Tons of parking and pickup parking for groceries and the pharmacy. This location also features a tire and wheel center. I like that they advertise the unleaded gas price from the feter road. There are a lot of fuel lanes so it usually catches my attention and prompts me to fill up using my discount. The layout inside is very thoughtful. Large appliances upfront, deli's around back and multiple self checkout lanes. I personally prefer to Scan N' Go so once in finished shopping I can pay in the app and walk out. I always observe a ton of people eating inside on my way out. The pizza and hotdogs are apparently just as popular as the deals which are unbeatable. Today I purchased a 4K 40" Vizio smart tv for $149 and I love that for myself because I really was shopping around. Overall great shopping experiences here on a consistent basis. This review is specific for the tires department only. To preface this, I drive an Infiniti that was manufactured for the Canadian market and therefore the odometer reading is in kilometers and not in miles. When I came here to get my new tires mounted and balanced, everything seemed fine until I checked the paperwork which showed that my car had 111,xxx miles instead of kilometers. I then asked one of the staff here to change it in the system to show the correct mileage (around 62,900 miles). However, the staff said that they couldn't change it in the system without even trying to go into the system. He kept telling me that in the United States, we use miles and I was like, 'no shit, Sherlock?' I tried to explain to him that I don't want their system showing that I'm not doing proper tire maintenance (for warranty purposes) because now I'm expected to get my tire balanced and rotated at 117,xxx kilometers (since I'm supposed to do this every 6,000 miles) which translates to coming back here after driving only 3,600 miles. If I were to do my ACTUAL 6,000 miles, this means I'd come back after close to 10k miles, but their system will show that I'm doing my rotation every 10k miles which is no no for warranty. He then proceeded to tell me that it was my problem and not theirs and kept insisting that everyone uses miles in the United States and that he'd never seen or worked on a car that used kilometers instead of miles (this sounds like an inexperience on your part, my dude). Oh, on top of that when I finally decided to just leave instead of keep arguing with literally the only individual out of all the tire stores I've been to who doesn't understand km vs miles, my TPMS sensors weren't adjusted properly and didn't give me any reading. I had to have him calibrate it before I could drive off. I came in around 9:10 am. I didn't leave until 10:40 am and I was the ONLY car that they were working on at the time. read more

I placed an order for eyeglasses at the I10 Old Katy Sam's Warehouse. Initially there was no price in the store's system for this particular frame. It took more than two weeks for the store's department responsible for pricing to assign a price to this particular frame. The five stars are for the optical center staff--I want to give a huge thank you to Lacoya and Mariam, the optical center's staff who remained persistent in moving the process alone. Just as a warning to all of you, be aware of food handling safety at the Sam's Club cafe. Today, I observed as one of the workers took cash payments from people in front of me and prepared food without changing their gloves. When I received my food from them I asked to confirm if they changed their gloves or not and all they said was they changed their gloves "recently." I then talked to the manager about it and they confirmed that they are supposed to change their gloves with every transaction and food prep. The manager was kind enough to offer replacements for my food but I declined and threw away the food I did get. With COVID-19 still being a problem and adding monkey pox into that mix, it is more important than ever to be vigilant in cleanliness and good health practices. This is a good location. I don't have any major issues when I shop here. I've encountered one employee that was rude. Other than that I'm normally in and out. The samples are not good like how they used to be. It's not often there are food samples anymore. I haven't had a slice of pizza from here since last year but when I did it was pretty decent. I don't like being hassled by the people who always catch you walking down the main aisle trying to get you to sign up for a service. They literally will walk you down at times until you talk to them even after I've said I'm not interested. I have had a Sam's member for 25 years. On August 4, 2020, I bought two Verde Farms rib-eye steaks. The expiration date on the packages read 8/10/2020. On August 5, I opened them to cook for dinner. They were very clearly spoiled, as in smelled horrible. I called customer service to inform them that they had spoiled meat in their meat department and to ask about a refund. I was told I had to bring the meat in to get a refund. I questioned if they really wanted me to bring this foul smelling meat into the store. The person in customer service affirmed that I needed to bring it in. About an hour later, I did just that. I presented the meat to customer service and was told they NEVER take food back. So, I explained the reason I brought the meat in was because I was told to do so by someone at customer service. This is where it got nasty. The woman at customer service was extremely rude. She said she would need a name (to believe me???) I told her I didn't have a name and relayed what I was told. She continued to argue with me. I asked for the manager. He came over and told me they don't normally do refunds for meat but since I was told to bring it in, he instructed his employee to refund me "just this one time". She CONTINUED to interrogate me and was very rude. She pulled up my account, questioned when I was in the store and if I bought one or two steaks. This was all over a refund of almost $18.00. She then reiterated that they do NOT take food back, muttered something about COVID-19, and dramatically threw the bag of spoiled meat across her space into the trash can. Then, she handed me my refund. I have had Sam's Club and Costco memberships for many years. Sam's Club has continually declined in the quality of their service to its club members. There are certain clubs I will not shop in because the employees are so rude or incompetent. I am adding this one to the list. Sadly, I think it is time to cancel my membership. read more

I didn't shop while here, only here for the pickup. I was waited on in a reasonable amount of time as I was on my lunch break and needed to get back to work. Sam's should show Costco how to work lines. In the past hour I stopped at both and the number of people was about the same, however the lines at Costco we way longer. I'm not saying that the Costco cashiers are slow because they are not. I do know that most of the check out spots at Sam's are self serve. Pharmacy acts like people don't need their prescriptions at that moment. They tried to close @ 7 when guest were waiting to be served way before 7. (@ 6:53 to be exact) they were not working with urgency. My doctor called to expedite my prescription but they left her on hold. You would think people working with a controlled substance would ensure best customer service but I was heavily disappointed. This has been my go to store for the past few years to pick up a few but typically more items. They have done an incredible job trying to enforce social distancing and use of masks. Their customer service has always been good and I appreciate when they ask if need help when you look like you need something. The absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They're unfriendly, not helpful and really don't care if you need your medication. I had prescriptions that I needed filled and not only did they not have them but wouldn't get them in for a week or longer as they only order once a week. All other pharmacies order and get the medication in in a day or two. But more than anything else it's the absolute lack or care or compassion. I have a suggestion: if you dislike your job so much then get another one. I'm not the only person that they treat with disregard at Sam's Pharmacy. This review is for the tire center. I needed some new tires for my Chevy Cruze. I thought I'd give this Sam's a try, given that it is 5 minutes from my house. I wasn't expecting much in terms of service and help since my experience at the tire center at Sam's on 59 was marked with a slow and somewhat rude associate. I didn't schedule an appointment, but was lucky enough to find no line and no car being worked on in the bay area. This was Saturday around 1:45 PM. While discussing tire options I was surprised to be dealing with a helpful and knowledgeable associate. He asked important questions and even walked me over to physically see the various tires. I settled on 4 Goodyear tires. At the moment they have a $80 instant rebate when you buy all 4 tires, where plus members receive a $30 credit toward the tire installation.
