Right now grocery prices are so high... meats is expensive here however toilet paper, paper towels, and paper plates are reasonable only because you'll use these items everyday. Water is probably less expensive because the sale the 40 count cases. Their fruits and vegetables are fresh (most of the time) and reasonably priced however do you need a case of avocado when your recipe ask for two??? I was at SAMS tonight. I left my Brahmin purse in my shopping cart. A Cart Associate, Kessaris found my purse and turned it in to the Manager Rochelle. The Manager called me while I was walking in the house.What a relief to know that my purse was found and I could come and get it. The Manager and Cart Associate Kessaris are two honest individuals. I had my wallet, cash money, credit cards, check books , driver's license,etc.. in my purse and when I picked up my purse l had everything. A few worthwhile items evinced themselves when I came into the store, and the self-scan checkout was easy enough. I needed to pick up some supplies for my business, and I figured since they had just opened up at 0900am that I'd be guaranteed success. Well to my surprise their was 3 items I was specifically searching for, and this location didn't have any of them. When I stopped and asked a store employee about the items, their response was "oh, we haven't had them in a while ". So I'm pretty confident that I won't be returning to this Sam's location for my business supplies. We haven't been to a Sam's club in a while. My dad is a member back home and had a friends/family 3 month free trial and gave it to us. We might have gone a little overboard but hopefully we'll be set for a while with all our bulk snacks and goodies. We only encountered three employees, one checking us in, one checking us out and one who was stocking the freezer section. The two in/out were friendly but the freezer stocker was honestly great. He was stocking these stuffed waffles and saw us eyeing them. We asked if they were good, and he was like "I don't know for sure, but MAN they look tasty" lol. We ended up saying why not and grabbing a pack. A little surprising given Covid is still a thing, but they had food tasting stations up, and today was a ribeye that was fantastic. Almost got me to buy it. Check out was simple, but if the lines are incredibly long we noticed you could check out and pay on the app instead of waiting. Pretty handy in the future! I purchased reasonably priced disposable plastic gloves from their generic brand Member's Mark. I would recommend their delicious roasted unsalted nuts deluxe, organic garlic powder, nutrient-dense raw whole almonds, and organic raw whole walnuts from Member's Mark. We don't come often but when we do I enjoy it here. We've got a temporary membership but don't think we're going to extend. They do have a variety of items. Toys, household, bakery, produce, everything. Easy check out through the app if the lines are too long. A little snack area when you're exhausted from shopping. Check the app if you're looking for a specific in store item so you can save a drive. We've done that and knew exactly when an item we've been waiting for came back. Very helpful. read more

Sams club or Costco? Sams club or Costco? Sams club or Costco? That's the question isn't it? Well I've been to both, these are my thoughts. If you're looking for the short answer, they're basically the same so pick whichever is closer to where you live honestly. If you want the sweet deets, read on. Price: the prices of everything inside both locations is basically the same. I did a price comparison of different items around the stores and Costco was more expensive by two cents. TWO CENTS. But the subscription to Costco is $60 and Sams is $45. But that's barely over a dollar of a month difference. I guess this one goes to Sams club but not by much. Merchandise: dead even. 95% of the items are exactly the same. Costco has a few things that Sams doesn't and similarly Sams has a few things that Costco doesn't so its even. Food court: SAME SAME. Same pizza, same hot dogs combo, same prices. Nuff said. Samples, Cleanliness, Staff: A+ rating at both locations. Exactly the same. Sams gets four stars because their parking lot was designed by a small child throwing a tantrum with crayons. It makes literally zero sense. Never have anything in stock, even the stuff they advertise they have in stock. Regularly aren't able to scan things at the register because they don't have their product inventory set up correctly. Lines are horrendous, customer service is worse. Always dozens of employees walking around, but none of them are available to help you. Online pick up is a joke, takes longer to wait for your online pick up than it would be to shop in the store. My family has been a long time patrons of Sam's clubs. I've always had wonderful experiences at every other Sam's Club I've ever been at. This one is just beyond terrible. If you live close enough, I recommend just going to the one in Aiken - have their act together there. Update: Been a Sam's Club member for 10+ years. I generally love this Sam's Club. Shopping during the week days are best due to high volume on the weekends. I've shopped for just about everything in store ... groceries, home goods, baby stuff, clothes, books, etc. Groceries - I usually find their meat/seafood to be priced a little high. However I find reduced sale or instant savings to be best priced (which makes sense). For the reduced sales - I generally just freeze it and it is good to go. Home goods - I find all sorts of random things like plushed bathroom carpets, glass bowl sets, etc. I always find these things reasonably priced and lots of variety. Clothes - I've especially taken a liking to the girls pajamas sets. Typically you'll get 2-3 sets for like 10 dollars. I buy a size up and they maintain their quality for at least a year. They also have some name brand like Levi's, Calvin Klein, Osh Kosh/ Carter's etc. During the past two summers they've had girl Levi shorts (both the shorties and burmudas) for about 10-15 dollars. Generally the kids clothes is a hit, but their is a limited variety. I can also appreciate the self checkout -although if you don't press paying with card and swipe your card anyway - your card will be declined. It took my a few times to figure it out. I also like ordering the food at the automated station instead of at the counter. It's definitely more efficient. Last plus - the free samples - make a meal out of them. Things I dislike: The only issues I have ever experienced is dealing with the photo center. I order photos online and they are rarely ready when they say they are. Or I have to travel all over the store to find an associate to help in photos. I wish the photo center was still in the store. The setup now sucks. I wish they either did or did not check membership cards consistently. If I have to show my card - fine. If I don't - that's fine too. It just sucks to feel singled out because they aren't consistent. Parking - parking on that hill is atrocious. You can't navigate the cart in between cars ... so don't accidentally go down the wrong lane with a cart full of stuff. And the incline can cause a cart to roll down and hit another car - yes my car has been hit. Overall pros and cons- but I'll continue to shop on non busy days. read more

Quite literally the WORST gas station I have ever been to in my entire life. A horrendous layout for the gas station, nobody helping patrons with issues with their cards. Lines are wrapped around the entire parking lot with people cutting in and out. Nobody redirecting lines forming at gas pumps that are no longer functioning. I waited over 30 minutes for gas and it was an incredible waste of time. Once in line there is no chance to leave it. Please learn from other businesses such as Costco on how to run an effective and efficient gas station. I will not be visiting this location again. read more

In relation to curb side pickup. This is a joke. The machines used to scan for your order outside got broken off or unusable after the first 2 months. So let's be real. Curbside pickup means, you park, go inside to the back of the store, scan your card, go back out side and someone rude will come out and push the cart at you. I needed to use the curb side when my arm was in a sling and couldn't believe I got no help. I asked customer service why they just shoved the cart at me and went back inside. We just moved to the area and came to stock up on essentials, while the store is nice, clean, and well stocked the employees attitudes, and demeanor are not friendly and welcoming at all. One employee pushed in front of my husband at the food counter to get her cup without muttering anything. I also witness the employee at the front membership area roll her eyes at a customer and shout to a supervisor, who was supposed to be there helping her today. We are long time Costco customers but decided to get Sams Club a try again. We got an online deal that included a gift card so we said why not. They offer different items than costco - lots of unhealthy ones but whatever floats your boat. I marked down stars because their customer service is terrible. In the last dozen visits I only came across one associate who had a smile on her face and was pleasant. Everyone else is in a zone, no offense. I get better service at Walmart - which I also shop often. I would say Target customer service and Sams is pretty much the same - they need major improvements and training. With that being said for the first time I tried Sams club gas for my car and it was awful. I ran out of gas within a week and I get to under half a tank over two weeks with Costco! I've shopped at a decent number of Sam's Clubs. I frequent this Sam's because I live here, but if I had the time I'd rather drive to Aiken and shop there. 1. They don't check your card when you come in. Cool- I know you cannot check out with a card, but I'm a business member, we have extra hours. Are they letting others in early as well? 2. Less than helpful employees. There are a couple of stars here, but for the most part no one seems to have any interest in helping. 3. The parking lot is a nightmare. Getting in and out can be a huge headache. 4. The "instant savings" aren't always active at checkout. I rarely find its worth the hassle of bringing it to someone's attention. I will say I can typically get everything I need, and at a better price than at the grocery store. I'm not drinking the Costco KoolAid. read more

One lady in a vest came over and chatted with the lady infront of us for 15 minutes instead if moving the line through.
