I recently went to Acuity Vision in Coventry for a checkup and new prescription based on a referral. All the staff there were professional and very helpful. The Doctor who saw me was not the owner however she was very professional and helped me through the exam and was extremely patient with sensitivity. If you have any sensitivities regarding your eyes, I would highly recommend this practice and all their staff.

I was 10 min early but I got to see the eye doctor 10-15 min pass my appt time, which is pretty normal I guess. The exam is good and I love everything he did because he is quite thorough and he showed me what is what. After the test I was able to go check on glasses, what glasses to get etc and I got a few choices. I decided on one pair and they said to wait 7-10 days but it was about 3 weeks before they gave me my glasses. I have called once a week, and they said no, on the third week when I called they told me it came it earlier but we tried calling and no one answered.. what... anyway good place but not so sure about the glass shop..

It's also the same building where I see my dermatologist and rheumatologist, and about a 15-20 minute walk from where I am, so really a plus. The experience here was pleasant. There was one other person ahead of me so the wait time wasn't bad. Dr. Cesaro here is really awesome, you know he knows what he's doing. This was a nice change from the other place I was going to (I will probably write a review about that later. Long story short, avoid mall optical shops at all costs). The person who had helped me select styles was Mary Ann, who also knows exactly what she's doing and tells you honestly what she thinks works well with a person's face. A breathe of blatant fresh air when you compare that to the sales associate at Lenscrafters that tries to push you to buying something that looks nice without regard to accommodation. Obv, I don't speak for all Lenscrafters, just from the experience I've had. They were nice enough to take notes on the styles that I kept in mind for later visits. I did eventually come back recently to try them on again but decided not to make a purchase. (really the price for what I had choosen was out of my range... $200 for frames, $130 for regular lenses, or $180 for poly carbonate lens which are thinner and less heavier). These were brand name Coach eyeglasses, not a big shocker. As much as I loved them I had to depart from them and call around for better deals. So, all in all great staff here. It would be 4 stars had it not been for steeper price range. Nonetheless great styles if you're willing to pay for the price.

Dr. Susana Chan immediately brought me in, quickly diagnosed the issue, and explained exactly how to fix it. She also went the extra step of contacting my primary care physician so my whole treatment plan would be seamless and well-coordinated. That level of care is rare and so appreciated. Her son, who greets you at the front desk, is not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about navigating medical insurance. He truly made the process stress-free, which is a blessing during a medical emergency. Clear View EyeCare is a small, local business that genuinely cares about the community. They don't treat you like just another patient--they treat you like family. I can't recommend them enough! I noticed a new Optometrist pop up in insurance network and to my luck ClearView EyeCare was accepting new patients and they also accept VSP plans. I was able to get an annual appointment within two weeks of calling. I was also able to complete all of my new patient paperwork via online portal which streamlined check in. Dr.Chan and her staff were prompt,organized, friendly, and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions (which were frequent) and were incredibly accommodating pre/post visit. I can't recommend this office enough, I'm glad we have another great medical practice joining our community.

When Hazel Eye Center opened up we made the switch. First, the facility is bright and open with a few seats in a waiting area and a wall of eye glass frames. The staff here are very friendly. On our first visit we filled out the necessary information on a tablet and received a very thorough examination. My spouse and I went into the exam room together and took turns in the chair. Dr. Hazelton is very friendly and we actually enjoyed the exam. She recommended a new contact lens for me and gave a sample to try. They work well and I am happy with them. She also updated my eye glasses prescription and I purchased a new set of frames and lenses through her. They are not cheap, but as they are a designer label, they wouldn't be and my lenses are always expensive based on my prescription. This is not a surprise cost and I really like the frames. Dr. Hazelton took time to personally help me find frames I would be happy with after I told her I felt pressured into the old pair and never like the way I look in them. We have called them with questions and stopped in to pick up orders and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They are a small business and sometimes we have to leave a message or wait for staff to come out of the exam room which we understand and don't mind. We are happy with our change of eye doctor. There is plenty of parking in front of and to the side of their office. They are located right where Bald Hill road turns into Quaker lane across from the Stop & Shop/Cowesett Corners Shopping Center.
