The latest cafe to pop up in Dalry is Samnetas, which is Polish themed and offers standard cafe fare as well as Poland's famous dishes.
The space inside is bright and airy, the decor very pleasant. The bathrooms are clean and tidy and overall the cafe feels very welcoming. Its prices are keen (although they'd have to be in Dalry - there are plenty other wee cafes around) and so I decided to pay a visit for a breakfast outing.
I ordered a morning roll with link sausage. The waitress was very nice and told me that everything is cooked to order, so there would be a short wait.
It did take a while for the food to arrive, and I was disappointed to discover I'd only been given one single link sausage sliced down the middle. It was enveloped in a big morning roll so I was let down to have to eat a lot of bread without sausage. The roll was average and fine - just not enough sausage coverage!
Still prefer the Clock, but I would be happy to give Samnetas another try out with morning roll territory. read more
