Sausage pizza
William S.

Good pizza place! Sammy's knows how to make a thin crust pizza. We ordered the simple sausage and there was not a square that didn't have a piece of sausage on it! The flavor of the sausage was very good, not too spicy. The crust is by far the best thin crust I have had. Cheese bread is ok but the marinara was served cold...what? Come on Sammy's! Located downtown Duluth near a homeless shelter, keep your head on a swivel! Always up for return visits to this place.

The pizza crust was good. Who knew pizzas can be cut up as squares? The hawaiian pizza was average. Really sour by the end of eating a few squares though. The alfredo was creamy but salty.

I can't even stunt, this food was delicious. If I could give more stars, I would. The atmosphere was a pleasure, the host was polite and explained to me what I would be ordering. Great vibes and good Italian cuisine. It was so good, I ordered a to-go dish of what I had just ordered.

Okkkkk....... really upset right now. Ordered my first pizza from this place (BBQ chicken) and it was trash. The delivery guy dropped it off like normal which got me amped, but then I cracked the box open the cheese was sliding off lookin like a mud slide. Then in my attempt to eat it, I would only get a little bit of undercooked crust because it was cut with a butter knife or something. Then I wanted to get a different pizza and called back and was only given the option to get $10 off my next one or to get another BBQ chicken. Despite my effort to explain to the employee I couldn't eat the pizza and I just wanted to get a traditional one I was told I could only get another BBQ chicken. Finally I had to settle for the $10 off and had to get a personal 9inch two topping. Even thou my original was a family size 16". Anyways now I'm going hungry and have a worthless family size BBQ chicken stinking up my kitchen.

Northern Minnesotans love their Sammy's, started in Hibbing Minnesota decades ago, and now spreading across the Upper Midwest. Ultra thin crust, some locations also offer buffets and 'broasted chicken'. A must stop for pizza fans, and Duluth natives home for a visit.

Classic Duluth pizza. Can't be beat. Restaurant is dated but food is all that matters.

We were put up downtown and the front desk person recommended Pizza Lucé, a 2 block walk from our hotel. I ordered the Mostaccioli - baked pasta with their signature red sauce with plenty of Romano and Parmesan Cheese and added their meatballs (Beef and Pork), served with 2 pieces of their cheese bread. We also ordered a large Caesar Salad (complete with Anchovies - which my wife loved). The food was delicious - such a rich and flavorful sauce, with a bit of a spicy bite. Wish we were in town longer so we could try one of their very unique pizzas. It was late at night (after 8PM due to our flight challenges) and there were several other patrons who came in after us. We also loved the original paintings that were mounted on the walls throughout the dining room. Would definitely recommend Pizza Luce to anyone looking for tasty Italian food (or pizza).

The bar area is such a vibe! Red lighting fills the area, and it seems like there is a stage for shows when it gets busy. On Monday they have a deal on their taps, but their website is good at detailing what deals are happening in what days! Hugo (I think his name was Hugo) was attentive and great! My meatball parmigiana hoagie was pretty decent! I will say it was the end of the night so the bread was a little bit hard. But as I ate the sandwich, sauce soaked in the bread more which softened it up. The potato chips were good too. The meatballs themselves were really good. I also loved the amount of cheese on the sandwich! Their menu is soooo extensive though. I want to try so many things on here. My glass of Pinot Grigio was $12.50. I also Ordered a seltzer that was on draft that ended up being $5 because of their Monday deal. I would absolutely be a regular here if I lived in the area.
