Foley's had BETTER PRICE than the Supermarket!…read more I decided to buy a Fix-A-Flat tire repair product for my son (who had a flat the week before) I went to my local supermarket, found Fix-A-Flat priced at $14, but figured Foley's might have it...and I like to patronize local businesses when possible. Turned out it was $12, two dollars cheaper, at Foley's, but I realized something else: Auto care, tools, and garden supplies are bread-and-butter to a hardware store, while they're just convenience items for a supermarket: stores like Foley's have to be well-stocked, and have knowledgeable staff who can answer questions. So now I will make Foley's my first choice for tools, because they know them best. But don't worry, supermarkets in Larchmont and Mamaroneck: If Foley's starts selling carrots and cauliflowers, I'll still buy them from you.

They have very good inventory. Great customer service and always willing to offer good advise on masonry materials and equipment. Thank you and Happy home improvement projects! 5 Stars

I called this company searching for a specific product and the guy I spoke with was very nice,…read moresaying that, sure, they have something that would work. I was very excited because it's been a struggle to find the exact item but I was willing to go with a near substitute. Well, I get there and he's not nearly as certain that what he has will work... Me, neither. I got it, went home, then got on the phone with several other suppliers, one (Gen-Tile) that was REALLY sure he had what I needed. At least Westchester Masonry Depot didn't give me a hard time when I returned their product. There is a ton of masonry and pond-building supplies here and it looks really cool, but my visit was ultimately a waste of time...

Unless you're buying thousands of dollars worth of kitchen appliances, if you live in Larchmont or…read moreMamaroneck you should forget about Home Depot or Lowe's and shop Foley's for your basic hardware needs (and they have great little gifts for grandchildren!). Their stock is extensive, their staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and their prices are comparable: I recently had to replace some fluorescent bulbs, drove a mile to Foley's, spoke to a friendly salesperson, got the bulbs and was home in minutes. Just out of curiosity I went on-line and checked the price of the same bulbs at the national chain: SAME price as Foley's! It's always good to patronize local businesses, who pump the dollars you spend with them back into the local economy, but with places like Foley's you're not sacrificing time or money.

I bought an exhaust fan for my new wood fired oven from Volko. They were extremely knowledgable…read moreand helpful in taking time to discuss my installation and suggest the best option for my situation. Later, when I thought I either overheated and ruined the fan motor or the fan motor was defective they walked me through the options for testing the motor and started the warranty process just in case the motor was defective. Because the fan is on a high roof and difficult to get to I went ahead and bought a new start capacitor and a new motor to only send the repair person up there once.. As it turned out, the motor was fine. The fan was turning very slowly because a paper towel got sucked up the flue and was dragging on the fan slowing the motor way down. YAY, I did not need the new motor. Volco was great. I was allowed to ship back the expensive motor for a refund and received the refund very promptly. Capacitors, of course, are never refundable. The fan works great and keeps my covered and mostly enclosed patio smoke free. I will never deal with any other company for high temperature exhaust fans and fan parts. THANKS VOLKO!!!!
