I'm 7 months into bringing my car back and forth to this dealership. Countless issues and our car continues to have problems. I've made a video and put into detail the issues.... it's on my blog.... complete with video and photos to show some of the problems.... Ford will not buyback their car! We are being forced to lawyer up. BTW-- don't hold your breath when you get that they'll call you back.... and you best bet that the mechanics won't be able to duplicate the issue. Here's a photo if the back of my car.... I'm done with Ford period.

This was January 14,2016 at Sames Ford. Driving off with illegal tint

In 2016 I bought my truck brand new )had 35 miles). It came with mud tires, nice rims and window tint. I never knew the window tint was illegal until this year when I tried to get the inspection done. I went directly to Sames Ford to talk to the manager Hector. He told me to take it to Evans's Glass to get it removed and I would have to pay $50. I said why would Ford sell me a truck with illegal tint and make me pay $50 to remove the tint. My truck is going to look stupid with no tint. He said have them put a light tint. Went to the Evan's glass and I asked how much they charge to remove the tint and they say $30. I am very upset about this and I tried calling him but he didn't accept my call, I left my number and he has yet to return my call. I would not recommend doing business there.

Picked my vehicle up at 4:42 and there were no notifications prior.

My purchase of a 2017 Ford Explorer was the smoothest auto purchase I've had in years.

Roy T!!! You are the man!…read more I was searching for a C300 with specific features and found one 3 hours away. Roy and I handled all negotiations over phone, text, and email before I made the trip. When I purchased, there were no surprise fees or charges. What I really appreciated was being treated as an equal by Roy as well as the entire dealership. There are plenty of times where professionals will discuss with my husband even though I am the ultimate decision maker for my car. Minor details that could've been a hassle if it wasn't for Roy's communication, follow-through, and general professionalism: - The C300 had a few small paint chips from normal wear and tear. - The spoiler wasn't attached properly Solutions: Roy said he'd mail over a touch-up kit, and he did. He also advised me to take it to my local Mercedes dealership for warranty repair (I didnt have the time to wait for the service to be done same-day at Ed Hicks). I followed up with my local dealership and like roy said, it was covered under warranty and everything went smoothly. The whole experience was easy, honest, and pleasant. I'm planning to buy future cars from Roy

I regularly purchase vehicles out of state and rarely write reviews, but this experience stands out…read morefor the wrong reasons. I agreed to terms on a car and was ready to move forward. Instead, the dealership delayed the process on their end while "checking with other dealers" and handling things internally. During that time -- after several messages, a few phone calls, and multiple days of back-and-forth -- the car was sold to someone else. This wasn't a case of a last-minute competing buyer. It reflects a lack of deal control and a willingness to continue shopping a vehicle even after terms are agreed, without clearly communicating that to the buyer. At the level of purchasing a $90K+ vehicle in cash, there should be a much higher standard of professionalism, transparency, and follow-through. Instead, I was left in limbo while the dealership continued to pursue other options behind the scenes. The result was a complete waste of time and a breakdown in trust. If a dealership is not prepared to secure a vehicle once terms are agreed, that should be made explicitly clear upfront. Proceed with caution, and make sure you have explicit written confirmation that a vehicle is being held before assuming a deal is in place.

Plenty of people millng around, including customers who were there for service, along with employees who wouldn't make eye contact or say "Hi" as they swiftly walked by us on either the upper level floor or lower level of the showroom/service area. We got tired of standing around by ourselves, so I walked up to the only vehicle on the floor. I began to examine it as obviously as possible. I opened and closed doors and stood looking at the stuff under the liftgate. I bent over and looked deep inside to examine the glove compartment, the center armrest and the other aspects of the interior... still "nadda." They don't look as throughly at cars that cross the border as I did at this floor model. I walked over to the reception desk, the girl sitting behind it looked up with a blank expression and flatly asked if I wanted something. No greeting, no "Hi, welcome to... " I smiled and asked somewhat lighthearted (and perhaps a little sarcastically) if they sell cars here. She replied, "Yes, both new and used." Long pause... long lingering pause.... before I had to actually request to see a sales person, of which she admitted she had no idea where any of them were. She picked up her phone and made a request for a salesperson to come to the showroom. We waited... and waited... and waited even longer before turning around and looking to my wife. We'd had enough, and I announced (rather loudly) that we were leaving. No apologies from her, no effort to stop me or offer any assistance. My last words before exiting were, "I can't believe nobody wants to sell me a car here." We stopped on the lot for an obvious moment, and peered through the windows into several cars on the lot as we headed back to our car. No one came out there, aside from us. Guess which Subaru "Family" Dealership won't get our business in Corpus Christi, Hicks Family Subaru.
