We used Same Day Express for the first time to pick-up and deliver a computer and computer accessories from my home to our church. The driver arrived a little early for the pick-up and delivery. This was fine with me. He handled the items with care even though some were a little heavy. I thought the price was very fair. I requested a quote from another service and it was three times the quote from Same Day Express. Overall I am happy with the whole experience. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Their expedited service saves us so much time, not having to send someone up to Los Angeles and back. Because of the project's importance, we always have upper-level executives willing to drive up to support our customers. Read these reviews about the owner hanging up on people! Avoid this company if you have any other option. I was thrilled to find a company willing to save the day by delivering some medical supplies needed same day. However, there was a slight glitch and the pick up wasn't ready on time. The company quoted me a price per minute for waiting but instead the driver left and returned an hour later. So I totally knew there would be an extra charge, but the company said they would call me back with the extra charge. They never did so I called them to ask after the package was en route. The price was higher than I expected and I was asking how the charge was determined, which made the older woman on the phone defensive and angry. She would not let me speak without talking over me. I asked her if she would listen to her customer (me) and she would not stop. Instead she got even louder, yelling at me and telling me I should be grateful that she did not charge me more. I thanked her for letting me know what I should be grateful for. She became irrate and hung up on me. I did not yell, I did not belittle or call names, nor did I cuss... I merely asked for an explanation so it is just unbelievable that a business cannot handle questions without being rude and hanging up on people. Unbelievable. Having owned a business myself, I had to learn to handle customers in all sorts of states. You just don't hang up on someone who is being reasonable. Now with that said, the older gentleman who delivered the package confirmed he was the operators husband and listened politely to my complaint of how the phone call was handled, which I appreciate. I just needed to be heard. This very small business run by an older husband and wife. I would avoid using this company if you have any other option. read more

I was able to call Same Day and they took care of it within one hour flawlessly by picking up from the wrong address and getting quickly to the right one. Super impressed with them. Firstly, a big THANK YOU to Same Day Express Delivery Service. This company was reliable, very timely, efficient, easy to work with, professional, friendly, and overall awesome. At 8pm, I was able to contact this service and arrange for a pick-up at 9am in Los Angeles and drop-off at 12pm in San Diego for under $200 (a friend had forgotten a wallet and needed it ASAP). Fedex wanted $400, and limited me to 1lb., as did all other same day courier/shipping services. I couldn't have asked for anything more! read more

Same Day Express literally saved the day for our sign company. Our supplier was not going to be able to get material we needed for an event. I was left in a pickle on this lovely Friday and Sam @ Same Day Express Delivery helped save the day. We had a package sent by AACargo from my Miami location and they sent it to SAN instead of SNA. AACargo was a nightmare to work with but I called Sam for quote, he answered right away and gave me a quick figure. I made a couple more phone calls, he had the best price and was able to jump on my project right away. Unfortunately, Friday OC traffic made it a little late but I know that is not his fault. Well, my first review was removed. I wonder why. So here goes. I will never use this service again. From the moment I opened the account, there were issues. The website was changed twice with no notification to me or ability to log in. Multiple times, I called in to order pick ups and they reversed the pick up and destination. So the driver went looking for a package where it was supposed to have been delivered. They kept going to my other office to pick up docs even though that is only the billing address and I gave explicit instructions. The final straw was when I ordered a pick up from me to another address. They went to the other address to pick up. I called and explained it was the other way around and went through the process of ordering again. I spelled out the address where it was going. A few days later I get a call from that business looking for the package. It was delivered to a different branch!! Different address!! So I called and was told "Oh, sorry, that is the one above it in the drop down. We will get it fixed in the morning." Morning comes...it's still not picked up. I call and they say, "No,that was your mistake, we aren't fixing it for free." Then proceeded to hang up on me multiple times when I called because they didn't want to deal with me or fix the mistake. Why would you take something that was clearly labeled with an address to a completely different address?? To make matters worse I had to call another company and rush deliver at a $50.00 charge to me. The customer service is nonexistent and I have completely quit using them. I cannot work with a company that has no regard for details and employs childish people that hang up on you when you call them out on their BS. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with any courier service. I ordered a 5 hour service from Los Angeles to San Diego leaving at 1pm and I was quoted it would be there no later than 6pm. My client checked in with me to see where it was at it was approaching 6pm and it wasn't there yet. So I called in to Same Day Express to check where it was. One of the guys there said he was stuck in traffic and and they can not guarantee it will be there within the 5 hours as traffic is unpredictable, which is true. I asked why no one has updated me to mention there is traffic therefore it won't be arriving on time, he avoided answering. Then I asked specially where is the driver, he again avoided answering me, after asking him several times he said he would find out. The driver was still on the 101. I asked how come it had taken him so long to get on the 101 if he had left at 1pm, he got annoyed and said he would send it back to me. At this point we were going back and forth so much and admitted he and left only at 3pm- I was frustrated as to why it had left so late and he said there's nothing he can do because of traffic, didn't make much sense and went back and forth and then randomly the phone hung up . I called back and spoke to a different gentleman , this guy apologized and said he would no longer be working within the company.. I asked to send back the items to me as at this point I didn't even trust it would get there at any point that night or trust whether it would be safe as the package was expensive. He said the only way I could get a refund was if It went direct to the store it came from, therefore I had to meet him at the store. I said for the driver to call me 30 minutes before he was there and I will come and meet him. So about 30 minutes later I receive a call, I asked the driver what time he left he said around 5pm. So not only had the driver left WAY later than he was meant to , they lied to me about when he left and have made me meet him to pick up what they failed to deliver properly at the time quoted. The driver was really nice and apologized and said he's not sure why they had him go at that time and delivered it back to the store . I would NEVER recommend to use this service to anyone that wants a reliable and trustworthy service. They are very very shady and I still do not have my refund. read more
