My brother took his custom gaming PC that I built to this store after the IFIXIT in Tilton NH messed up the new CPU cooler he needed installed. I would have normally done it but I moved to Kansas. They couldn't even tell the difference between JCOM header and JUSB header. How about learn to read a manual if you've never installed something...They charged him $150 for something not working 100%. I had to help him over the phone on facetime. This place needs to give him a refund it's horrible stay away at all costs. I was talking to my brother the whole time. I used to live in Laconia and I used to own my own computer business for 6 years in California. This is a legit review my twin brother just isn't the type to write reviews. You should have given him a refund and did your homework. You just tucked away the 9pm usb header and 3 pin RGB cable. He bought that cpu cooler because it had the digital thermostat built into the CPU cooler. I built that pc so I know. He was pissed your guys messed up his cable management also. read more

Review Update: Now I can't even make my $900 "refurbished" computer turn on. I've only had it for several months. Katie admitted that in refurbishing this 6 year old computer (that I insist I was never told it was not a new computer) she didn't not replace the battery. Until today I fully charged the computer but only got 2 hours at most of computer time before it was out of charge. Today I can't even get it to start. I want my money back. Katie- if you are willing to give me my money back on this piece of junk you sold me then that is the only way you can stand by your product. IT DOESN'T WORK. I CAN'T USE IT. What a nightmare. I Should have heeding all the yelp negative reviews. What a fool I was. How this place is still in business is beyond me. They are galacticly incompetent and an out right rip especially Katie. I brought my Hp all in one in to them just to evaluate why it was running a little slower than when I first bought it. She tried to say it was because of my mechanical hard drive and tried to upsell me a solid state drive for $660.00. I said no, it wasn't that important and I will just leave it as is. I picked it up the next day, no, not the same day as their business name suggests. I got home and discovered they had given me an old power cord that had been animal chewed bare. I turn the computer on and got a blue screen of death, lock out. I brought it back to them and after 5 days they called and wanted to charge me to fix what they had broken! When I took issue with it I was hung up on. Be warned they will rip you off if you do business there. Don't just take my word for it, there are plenty of negative reviews on this business. Usually I just suck it up on the rare occasions I get bad service as the price of doing business but not this time. Thinking about the fact I paid these people to "fix" my computer absolutely grinds my gears. 9/10/2020. My laptop is being worked on by a different IT professional. Same issue (switch turning computer on/off). The new tech shared three pictures stating the switch has not been soldered or replaced. BEWARE!! Stay away from this place!! I don't usually write reviews but feel like I have to warn others in the Laconia area about this guy! Have 2 different family members that got completely ripped off from this place. They both had a computer that was sluggish and running really slow, especially online. On one he completely wiped out everything that was on the computer, including family pics that can't be replaced. Didn't tell them he would be doing this then told them they should have known to save/back up everything before they brought it to him. The other ones computer now is even slower than it was before, to the point that it is pretty much unusable. Both went back after for help and were talked down to, implying that they know nothing about computers, making them feel stupid and not helping them at all. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

The Service at this place was actually very good! a man named Connor was respectful and very professional. I reported that there was a crackling noise near the CPU and that the computer over all was running rather slow, I left it with them for a day and I received a call saying that I just had a few viruses and that there was no crackling noise. I found that a bit odd but I figured it was a one time thing. I was then recommended to install a new SSD on the computer as it would extend the life expectancy which I agreed to. over all the bill was a whooping 700$ but I didn't know much about computers at the time so I figured it was reasonable, I just wanted my pc to work. after I picked it up it brought it back home the Pc was very fast and started up much better, however the crackling noise was still there and after a while the pc got slow again. I had purchased an anti virus software and I never went on any sketchy websites or downloading anything ever since. my friends told me to install software that would let me ready my CPU and GPU temperature and wouldn't you know it the CPU is overheating because there are bubbles in the cooler. all of this took a few minutes and simple diagnostics for my pc just to figure out the problem. and the best part is my friends told me that the price is outrageous! I should have been charged some were around 200-300 dollars for such simple fixes. long story short I have gotten a new cooler and luckily the CPU was not damaged. the SSD they charged me was absolutely not needed which means I got up sold. when going to this place be very cautious! read more

if i could rate it 0 stars, i would. listen to the hundreds of horrible reviews and ignore the 4 good ones out there. this place is so trashy and just a scam. we brought in a pc for them to fix and they didn't have the parts needed for it or even know where to look?? (keep in mind these are common parts, including a cpu, and it's literally a computer repair shop), then they claimed to have found them for $700 when we got the right, compatible parts on our own for half of that. many people we know who've gone here have also had experiences with crazy prices for parts they don't have or "can't find." anyways, the older woman working there is extremely unpleasant and the people there don't know more about computers than the average person who built their pc. the diagnostic is sort of worth it, but the work they do can be done better by anyone else and took them an hour, yet the computer was there for about a week. we gave them all the parts they needed and they still didn't even repair it correctly, for the wifi connector isn't plugged into the motherboard, the boot drive wasn't even on the correct drive, the leds don't work anymore, and the wifi card was somehow contorted? (please note that none of these problems were why the computer was brought in to begin with). they messed new things up with the pc and forgot to even add some of the pieces in, so it needed additional work on the motherboard after. this place just sucks, the work they do is a scam and they charge crazy prices for it. you're better off going literally anywhere else. read more

After hearing good things about this place, decided to give them a try when Windows 10 would not loan on my computer. I wasn't able to drop off the computer, so asked a friend, but did give the shop a phone call to let them know what was wrong. Apparently I threw "Connor" for a loop because I had to tell him a couple of times a friend was dropping off the computer and I was the owner and my friend would not know what was wrong with it. I had to encourage him to take my demographic information, including phone number because he didn't ask. I'll have to explore his mind reading abilities further. I also had to give him my password because he didn't ask. Ummm.....computer tech doesn't ask. So, the computer was dropped off early afternoon on Friday, 11/8, it is now Wednesday, 11/13 mid-AM and I've still not heard a thing, so much for same day when my friend was told it might be ready on Saturday. I do realize there was a weekend day and a holiday, but yesterday I called twice..."It's being scanned, 30% complete." Second call..."It's 80% complete," and this was just before they close. Will update if I ever heard from them. UPDATE-got a call from Conner, 11/13 who said the hard drive was shot, gave me three different prices for three different hard drives, then added, he would call me back later that day with a cost of data retrieval. Well 5 pm came and went, no call back. UPDATE-11/14, no phone call yesterday, maybe today. This is not same day computer repair. i might stretch it to same week, but doubtful...maybe same month. UPDATE-11/15, Conner called as a follow up to the voice message he left, funny, my phone doesn't take voice messages, he said he might have dialed the incorrect number, but funny, dialed the correct number this time. Would cost $225.00 for date retrieval off old hard drive, told him I would think about it and call him back. UPDATE-11/16, picked up my computer, paid the $50 for diagnostics, will bring it someplace else. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE MANCHESTER LOCATION, NOT THAT IT MATTERS...... In Short: Don't ever, ever, ever, take your computer here. Avoid this place like the plague! My relatives have also had horror stories about the Laconia location. Why Avoid Same Day Computer? It all began when I received a refurbished computer from them with Office 2007 installed, not Office 2010 like we had agreed to on the phone. I brought the computer back, and was asked several times if I was sure I really wanted Office 2010. Well of course I did; that's what we agreed to! They said they'd fix it and took the computer and installed Office 2010. Once I got the computer back, everything was fine for about 30 days. Then I kept getting an error message that I needed to register the product. So I brought my laptop back yet again! Again I was pressured about getting Office 2007 instead of 2010. Again, I refused. Turns out that they hadn't registered that copy of Office with Microsoft. Anyone with ANY basic computer experience knows you have to register Office or it will stop working after a certain number of days. Again, it was all hey, no problem- we'll fix it! They sure did. Two days later I come back in to find that yes, I have Office 2010, but only the Home and Student version, not the Professional version that had previously expired. "Ooops, our bad, all the authentication keys for that version are used up. There's nothing more we can do. You have to deal with it and use the Home and Student version instead." Well, for those who don't know, the Home and Student version is missing THREE programs that Professional has. Three programs that I needed to be successful in school and in my chosen career. After leaving in tears, I ended up begging my parents to get me Office 2010 Professional so I could learn the programs I needed to learn. These individuals do NOT value your business, which is abundantly clear after a short while dealing with them. Why even bother getting a computer or equipment here? Save your money and dignity and just buy it out of your sketchy Uncle Vinny's delivery truck- you'd be much better off! read more

This business is actually at Union Ave in Laconia, though it still uses the owner's father's address. Just Don't Do It. I had been one of Josh Youseff's earliest clients, and he was honest, straightforward and good to work with. I recommended him for years, and recently had women business owners come back on me with very negative statements, most notably that they felt they were treated as if they were stupid, and felt patronized, as well as doubts about the work done, and the bill. I thought this was a one-off, since I'd been favorably treated before Josh became Uber-Entrepreneur. I recently had a terrible experience. Took my Netbook in for a basic OS load I couldn't do myself, as I didn't have a Win XP disc, and my system was Linux. The documentation I rcvd with it provided drivers, a walkthru- simple stuff. I got a phone call that night from a tech that claimed it would take them hours of diagnostics, it was "like putting a high-powered engine in a go-cart", and was like WHAT???? I've loaded OS's for yrs. This Netbook has 4 gigs- no go cart that. I waited until I called Asus, and their tech was WHAT??? we GAVE you the means to do this!!! (when I offered the disks and info to the manager, his statement was "anything we have is better than anything you'd have" and that was just the TIP of his patronizing "oh little lady" attitude. Long story short, I called a halt on the work, in 2 phone calls, but my Netbook was held hostage until I paid $50 ransom for "extensive diagnostics" that took "hours" to run. On a Netbook. To load an OS. NUTS. I insisted on speaking to my "old friend Josh"- it took weeks, called offices as far away as FL, convinced the manager in Laconia wasn't passing on my wishes. I finally heard back when I posted on one of his new entrepreneurial sites that I would take legal action. His response? "WE RECORDED YOU. I REVIEWED THE TAPES" He stood by his manager, who was patronizing demeaning, et al. Stated that yes, he had fired the tech who talked to me, but my poor Asus was still being held hostage. When I attempted to pay by phone via credit card, that was OK, until I said my name- then I was informed by a very nervous young man that they couldn't take phone payments that day.... Since then I have mentioned their name 3 times in my office cafeteria, and each time a woman has popped up w/a horror story about padded bills, demeaning, patronizing treatment... AND, when I went to rescue my Asus and eat the $50, getting into the office was so dangerous for a handicapped patron (terrible slope to the door, and extensive ice from a storm 3 weeks prior) that I was fearful of my safety with my poor walking. Had they not coughed up my Netbook I was fully prepared to call the Laconia Police and charge theft. Have since found they have an "F" rating with the BBB. Don't do it. The rudeness alone is disheartening, paying out for a padded bill while the "manager" just grins is enough to make you pitch your computer out the window. This is the WORST computer repair shop EVER in Laconia, NH. I couldn't get into my computer at all and after showing them what was wrong. I received a call stating that I needed to have Windows 7 reloaded with the factory settings and that it would cost me $300.00. I asked if all my documents, etc. were going to be backed up -- I was told YES. I gave to go ahead to do what they suggested. When I picked it up and immediately started using my computer it was missing my email (sent, saved, saved folders, calendar, etc.). When I called about this problem, I was told that Windows Live email was not included in Windows 7 but when I purchased my Dell laptop with Windows 7 it included Windows Live Email. Why wasn't my computed looked at completely when I brought it in? I asked to have my money refunded and I was told they had a no refund policy. What kind of customer service is this? I am out $300.00. I am spreading by word-of-mouth to any one I can find to listen to me that they SHOULD NOT EVER use this computer repair company. read more
